Not much has changed to our normal safe shipping dates from year to year. This years overall "safe" holiday shipping deadline was December 11, but most items can still be ordered after that. However, at this point, many may not arrive before Christmas - here's more detail for you to decide for yourself:

Important note: shirt or sticker orders after December 17 will not ship until January 6

The truth is that there's nothing magical about the "safe" shipping deadline I give, which this year was December 11. Orders that come through on the 12th aren't treated any differently - its just a date that broadly gives plenty of time for the range of products I offer, based on how long it usually takes for them to ship after ordering. It also accounts for standard delivery times based on watching other orders over the last few weeks. I'm not seeing many unusual issues lately, but federal services like mail are all dealing with new challenges this year.

The basics:
- Safe Holiday Shipping Deadline: December 11
- Shirts & Stickers Holiday Safe Shipping Deadline: December 15
- Gift cards are always available and deliver instantly via email
- Shirts & Stickers ordered after Dec 17 will not ship until Jan 6

The companies I work with always work overtime during holidays to get things shipped as fast as possible, and every year, there's always a late order well beyond my deadlines that somehow gets there in time. But to play it safe, here is more info to help you decide if its too late to order:

Basic framed prints, magnets, tote bags, and mugs lately usually ship 3-7 days after ordering; shipping for these can take 3-7 days.

Hats and unframed prints usually ship around 5 days after ordering; then shipping usually takes 2-6 days.

Shirts and stickers usually ship 2 days after ordering; then shipping usually takes 2-6 days.

And finally, I always take some family time over the Christmas holiday. Since I ship or deliver shirt and sticker orders myself, those orders go on hold for a few weeks. This year, shirt and sticker orders received after December 17 will not ship until January 6. All other products continue to ship as normal, though.

If you're in doubt, feel free to contact me before ordering for more details or clarification on what you are about to order. No matter when you order, we'll do our best to get it to you, but the later the date, the higher the risk that it won't arrive in time.

As always, thanks for continuing to support OsoPorto. I will take my usual break from popups and events during first quarter of 2026, but watch for things back in full swing come April or May. Hope your holidays are excellent, and look forward to seeing you in 2026!

You may have missed the boat on the overall "safe" holiday shipping deadline this year, but you still may not be out of luck if you need it by Christmas. Here's some more detailed info so you can decide if its still safe to order or not.

The truth is that there's nothing magical about the "safe" shipping deadline I give, which this year was December 10.
The companies I work with always work overtime during holidays to get things shipped as fast as possible, and every year, there's always a late order well beyond my deadlines that somehow gets there in time. But to play it safe, here is more info to help you decide if its too late to order:

The slowest items to make and ship are premium framed prints, flags, and pillows. These can take around 7 days after ordering before they ship, and then shipping time can take 3-7 days, depending on where in the US you are.

Basic framed prints, magnets, tote bags, and mugs lately usually ship 3-7 days after ordering; shipping for these can take 3-7 days.

12/5 UPDATE:

The "safe shipping" date has now passed for getting orders in time for Christmas. You can still order goods and they will get made and shipped as soon as possible, but know that it is likely they will not arrive before Christmas. Also an important reminder that any shirt orders received after December 8 will not ship until New Years. Sorry for any inconvenience, but thanks for your support! (Read on for more detail as posted in October:)

_____________

The short of it:

- Get orders for Christmas delivery in by DECEMBER 4.
- No shirt or sticker orders will ship (or deliver by hand locally) after December 8.
- Catch me at local Holiday markets - check the dates here: OsoPorto Holiday Pop-Ups

It’s October and I’m already posting holiday deadlines - that’s definitely a new one. But this year it’s looking like it will be more important than ever to get your Christmas orders in early. I’m sure you’ve seen or heard stories about supply chain issues as companies deal with increased mail order and domino effects from the pandemic. Those are very much showing up in terms of goods taking longer to be made. (Aside from shirts, most of our goods are printed or made after you order, then shipped to you directly from the printer or manufacturer.)

Delivery times are also longer than in past years (maybe last year excluded.) Changes instituted by US Postmaster DeJoy continue to slow down mail delivery while raising prices, though I still find USPS to be the fastest of the delivery services. Depending on your location, we also ship DHL, FedEx, or UPS, though I am finding those all to be slower than USPS. We generally ship whichever service will get it to you fastest at the best price.

For those reasons, I’m giving an earlier safer order deadline of December 4 this year. In addition, I will be away for a family wedding after December 8, and because I ship and deliver them myself, no shirt or sticker orders will ship after December 8 until I return after the holidays in January. (Again, please note that includes local orders/delivery for t-shirts and stickers, not just mail shipping.) All other products (hats, prints, home goods, etc) will still continue to ship as normal, so you can order those at any time, but arrival by Christmas is frankly luck of the draw if ordered after December 4.

If you’re local, you can find me at several holiday markets in Manhattan Beach, El Segundo, and possibly Hermosa Beach. However, the last pop-up of 2021 will be December 4. Check the full schedule (which will update) here: OsoPorto Holiday Pop-Ups

Thanks for your patience as things continue to evolve. If you have questions before placing your specific order, please don’t hesitate to email me - I’ll do whatever I can to make it work, but options are a lot less limited this year. And of course, thanks for all your support this year as we continue to come out of the pandemic and adjust to new realities.

Your support at pop-ups and markets this year has been amazing and really appreciated. Please have a safe and happy holiday and I look forward to seeing you at more pop ups in the next year!

This post of annual "safe shipping" dates is almost a holiday tradition, but the usual “can I still get it in time” answer is a little more complicated this year, because, well, 2020.

So here’s the short version first:

Bonus this year: hand delivery of local orders for shirts, hoodies, sticker packs, greeting cards and items from this selection continue through DEC 25

“Safe” shipping deadline for shirts, hoodies, sticker packs, greeting cards: DEC 17

“Safe” shipping deadline for Hats, Prints, Pillows, Tote bags, Mugs, Flags, Magnets: DEC 10

(and of course, don’t forget about gift cards! available anytime through email)

As I say every year, the truth is that these are general guidelines I consider "safe" based on previous and recent orders. However, this year some products have seen additional delays due to Covid, and at the moment, all shipping carriers are reporting backups. So far, most orders seem to be sailing through reasonably fast, though I do see some orders occasionally hitting stages where tracking shows no movement for a few days. This doesn't mean that your order is lost, but that it's still being processed by the carrier—the overload of shipments means shipping carriers are slower to register and ship your orders from their distribution centers. That makes it even harder to declare that its “safe” to order by a certain date; so obviously the sooner, the better. Of course you are welcome to order any item after the "safe" date and it will still be made and shipped as soon as possible, but it is less likely that you will have it in time for Christmas.

New this year for local orders: since I won’t be traveling to visit family this year for Christmas, I will continue to hand deliver local South Bay/Westside orders of shirts, hoodies, sticker packs, and greeting cards right up to Christmas Day. Or elsewhere further in the LA area beyond South Bay/Westside for orders over $55. So you can order those right up until the last minute! I've added an additional selection of Locally Available goods that I have on hand (normally to sell at local fairs/festivals etc) that you can also order from here on the website. You can find that collection here.

And finally, there are gift cards. Gift cards deliver electronically by email in multiple amounts, and they have no expiration.

Feel free to email me if you have any questions before placing an order. No matter what, thanks for your support this year, whether through orders or even just social media comments or likes, every little thing has helped survive a rough year. Be sure to stay safe this holiday and hopefully we’ll be back together in 2021.

UPDATE: 12/11/24: No news is good news. Things have been stable the last couple years, however that will likely change in 2025, with both increased instability and increased prices expected.

Keep in mind that the "safe" deadline for holiday shipping was 12/10. I would consider shirts and stickers as still safe to ship as late as the 17th. And any shirt or sticker orders after December 17 will not ship until January 9.

Please feel free to contact me if you'd like me to check on the latest info from a specific supplier, but these days it's a good idea to add a few extra days to the expected turnaround time on orders solely because of standard holiday delays.

Latest production delays:
Premium Framed prints: allow 2 weeks for turnaround. (no longer a delay, but a new normal for premium frames)

-----

UPDATE: 3/12/23: All orders seem to be shipping as normal. A few recent orders have confirmed that the new normal for premium framed prints is around 10 business days, so definitely allow two weeks for those to print and deliver to you.

It's also time for another family visit, which means any shipments of shirts, hoodies, and stickers go on hold, because I ship those myself from home. So I'm calling it Spring Break. You can still order them as normal, but any orders of shirts, hoodies, or stickers after March 13 will not ship until March 30. Everything else ships as normal. My apologies for any inconvenience that may cause.

As always, please feel free to contact me if you'd like me to check on the latest info from a specific supplier, but everything at the moment is generally shipping as normal, other than the above.

Latest production delays:
Shirts and stickers: shipping on hold until 3/30
Premium Framed prints: allow 2 weeks for turnaround.

-----

UPDATE: 1/8/23: I'm extending the holiday break which causes shirt and sticker orders to be on hold because I ship those myself - those will now not ship until 1/19. Some unexpected family health issues have popped up while away for the holidays, so I am staying a little longer to help out with those and won't be back until Jan 19th. Sorry for the additional delay caused by that.

All other items ship by the companies that print or make them, and all seem to be shipping on a normal schedule. It's still a good idea to allow extra time for Premium framed prints, which often still take 7-10 days before they ship. This may be the new normal for those.

Please feel free to contact me if you'd like me to check on the latest info from a specific supplier, but these days it's a good idea to add a few extra days to the expected turnaround time on orders, especially as Covid waves come and go, effecting anything from manufacturing to delivery.

-----

UPDATE: 12/7/22: No news is good news. Again, basically no change from the last update. Most everything is generally shipping at normal turnaround times, though there are occasional random orders that take longer. While not always the case, its still a good idea to allow extra time for Premium framed prints, which occasionally still take 7-10 days before they ship.

-----

UPDATE: 10/9/22: Overall, no change from the last update. Most everything is generally shipping at normal turnaround times, though there are occasional random orders that take longer. The only items shipping slowly consistently continue to be Premium framed prints, which often, but not always, take 7-10 days before they ship.

Please feel free to contact me if you'd like me to check on the latest info from a specific supplier, but these days it's a good idea to add a few extra days to the expected turnaround time on orders, especially as Covid waves come and go, effecting anything from manufacturing to delivery.

-----

UPDATE: 8/16/22: Most everything seems to be back to normal turnaround. The only things that seem to be shipping slowly at the moment are framed prints. Premium framed prints in particular seem to be pushing 7-10 days before they ship, so please keep that in mind for those.

As always, I am happy to double check a specific item before you place an order. Feel free to contact me and I will be glad to check on the latest info from a specific supplier, but these days it's a good idea to add a few extra days to the expected turnaround time on orders, especially as Covid waves coming and going seems to be the new normal, sometimes effecting anything from manufacturing to delivery.

Latest production delays:
Premium Framed prints: allow 2 weeks for turnaround.

-----

UPDATE: 7/9/22: Unrelated to covid or supply chain issues, this years summer break will be in effect from July 14-26. Shirt orders and sticker orders will not ship during that time (because I ship those myself!) Any orders placed during that time will ship on July 28. Orders for all other items - hats, artwork, and home goods - will not be affected and still continue to ship as normal.

Hats seem to be back to normal turnaround, though occasionally an order takes longer than others without any obvious explanation. Supply chain issues in general are starting to pop up again now that mask mandates have been gone - at the moment, the only specific product hit by these are white flat bill trucker hats, so those are being completed and shipped from Europe. Allow 2-3 weeks for those to arrive when ordering.

As always, If you want me to double check a specific item before you place an order, feel free to contact me and I will be glad to check on the specific item and supplier, but it is a good idea to add a few extra days to the expected turnaround time on orders, especially with manufacturing employees getting sick again.

Latest production delays:
White flatbill trucker hats: shipping from Europe, allow 2-3 weeks
Flags: allow 2 weeks for turnaround

-----

UPDATE: 6/21/22: I've had a recent flag order that has taken a long time to ship, so am adding flags to the list of items with production delays. I have not seen delays in recent hat order and many have shipped quickly, but am still leaving those on the list because of the couple that took a long time at the time of my last update. In general, while no printers or manufacturers are saying so and you don't see it in the media, Covid is spreading widely again and causing issues in other industries like airlines and supermarkets, so I would not be surprised if we are seeing similar delays from workers out sick in the companies that print our products.

As always, If you want me to double check a specific item before you place an order, feel free to contact me and I will be glad to check on the specific item and supplier, but it is a good idea to add a few extra days to the expected turnaround time on orders.

-----

UPDATE: 6/10/22: We've gone a while without any order delays, but in the last couple weeks I have noticed a couple hat orders taking as long as 10 days to deliver. Those delayed orders don't seem to be any specific style or color, and other orders have delivered at normal turnarounds during the same time, so I cannot pinpoint any specific reason for those getting caught and taking longer in the production system.

UPDATE: 4/25/22: It's back! The brown/tan retro trucker hat has been back in stock in recent weeks and still remains in stock (I wanted to be sure it was not a fleeting change before posting!)

To my knowledge, all products and suppliers are shipping as normal. It still remains a good idea to give a few extra days if time sensitive, as some orders sometimes unexpectedly take a little longer to ship; or delivery issues taking extra time.

If you want me to double check a specific item before you place an order, feel free to contact me and I will be glad to check on the specific item and supplier.

UPDATE: 1/13/22: The brown/tan retro trucker hat is out of stock again in the US. Orders for that color/style are being fulfilled again from our hat makers facility in Europe - note that the shipping usually takes around 3 weeks. If you order that model, I will do my best to email you and be sure you saw the warning notice. As always, my apologies for any inconvenience.

UPDATE: 1/9/22: All hat colors/styles are back in stock for production in the US. However, some hat orders are currently taking as long as 10 days to sew and ship after they are ordered, depending on the color and style choice (normally hats ship 3-4 days after being ordered.) This changes daily, so please feel free to email me before ordering if you would like the current status of a hat style and color you are about to order and I'll be glad to check your choices and let you know. (For instance, a navy retro trucker may ship in 3 days at the same time a black retro trucker is taking 10. It's honestly a little crazy!) I apologize for any trouble it causes and appreciate you bearing with the changing situation. My hat supplier has several locations across the US and your hat will ship from whichever one can get it to you soonest.

UPDATE: 12/4/21: Some hat colors go out of stock temporarily in the US, so orders of those will be shipped from Europe until they are able to restock - meaning they may take 2-3 weeks to arrive after ordering. This status with hat changes every few days, but if you order a color with this issue I will email you to alert you of the issue, and also to give you the option to change or cancel your order. As of today, 12/4, orders fulfilled from Europe are estimated to arrive 12/24 - so it's fair to say that after today, those would not make it in time for Christmas.

UPDATE: 7/1/21: Two of our hat colors are out of stock temporarily, so orders of those will be shipped from Europe until they are able to restock - meaning they may take 2-3 weeks to arrive after ordering. Those 2 hats variations are the all-navy version of the retro trucker hat (bill, front, and mesh all navy) and the regular trucker hat with a white front and blue bill and mesh. All other color versions of all hats are still delivering as normal from the US.

UPDATE: 5/30/21: Things continue to be fairly normal as all our suppliers are printing and shipping at normal turnaround times. Do be aware that mail service generally runs a day or two longer than it used to ever since the postal service changes that were put in place is the Summer of 2020. Other than that, all systems are operating normally right now.

-----

UPDATE: 1/26/21: All of our products are now being produced in normal turnaround times. As far as shipping times, all domestic US orders since the new year seem to be shipping at normal speeds as well. That said, I do see reports from vendors and others that some shipping delays and irregularities are still happening. I even am personally still receiving mail that was sent before Christmas, so I am hesitant to declare things back to normal, but our orders so far do seem to luckily be delivering okay since Jan 1. Shipments to Canada and overseas are a different story and are still seeing very significant delays. I'm unsure if this is due to something on the US side or if due to issues in the other countries, or perhaps a combination of both, but please be sure to be aware if ordering from another country. As always, feel free to contact me before ordering for the latest if you are concerned about getting an order in time, and thanks for your continued patience and support!

-----

UPDATE: 12/12/20: Shorter edit to below: The "safe" ordering deadline for t-shirts, hoodies, greeting cards, and stickers for mail delivery is 12/17; local hand deliveries of those will continue through Christmas Day. The "safe" ordering deadline has passed for hats and other non-wearable items not listed above. You can still order them and they will get made and shipped as fast as possible, but likely would not arrive in time for Christmas. More details in the 12/10 update:

UPDATE: 12/10/20: Things have been going surprisingly smoothly, but we are starting to see some backups with some of our products and with shipping. In terms of shipping, all shipping carriers are starting to report backups. However, you should expect shipping transit times to take a couple to few days longer than normal.

With that in mind, today is our normal "safe" deadline for items other than shirts, hoodies, stickers, and greeting cards. So from today on, there is an increased risk that you may not receive new orders for other items (hats and most non-wearable items) in time for Christmas. Items that we are specifically seeing delays in are mugs, unframed posters and graphic prints, and posters and graphic prints in the basic frame option. Premium framed prints and photo prints are not delayed from normal production times.

On the other hand, shirts, hoodies, stickers, and greeting cards are already printed and I ship those myself - since I will not be traveling to visit family this year, those products can ship later than usual (by 12/17 is safest) or even deliver by hand if local to the South Bay area of LA right up until Christmas Day. (or feel free to contact me for other LA areas, too!)

As always, feel free to contact me if you have questions before placing an order and thanks for your support and patience as we navigate a year full of new hurdles.

UPDATE: 11/18/20: Things haven't changed much since September, which is mostly good news. All products are printing and out shipping at normal turnaround times. USPS continues to be slower than normal, but their shipping times have gotten better in the last few weeks (funny how that happened, huh?!) Generally shipping is only taking just a day or two longer than normal for most orders, though be sure to keep holiday mail delays in mind as well.

Latest production delays:

All items: no delay from normal production times

-----

UPDATE: 9/20/20: Generally no change from the last update. All products are back to shipping at normal turnaround times. However, we are still seeing slower delivery times as we started to see in late July as a result of Trump Administration directives to delay the delivery of first class mail. Since then, delays have ranged from 2 to 20 days longer than normal for delivery - though they do seem to be improving lately and most orders deliver within 2-4 days longer than normal. We can ship through other carriers like UPS or FedEx by request - just email or add a note in your checkout when placing your order if you'd like to add that to your order. Usually that will add roughly $5-$25 to the price, but I can give you an exact amount based on what you plan to order and where it is shipping if you provide that info. Please feel free to email before placing an order if you have any concerns or are trying to receive an item by a specific date. As always, your support is really appreciated as we deal through a year of obstacles. So thanks for your continued patience and support in helping to keep us afloat!

-----

UPDATE: 8/24/20: The good news is that the product turnaround delays that started in March for many of our suppliers and products are now all gone and turnaround is back to normal - for all products! Turnarounds have stayed normal for the last two weeks with no new problems. Unfortunately, there's some bad news, too. The delays in USPS shipping times that we started to see in late July as a result of Trump Administration directives to delay the delivery of first class mail continue to be significant, so please factor in anywhere from 2 to 20 days longer than normal for delivery. As always, feel free to email for updated info if you have any concerns before placing an order. My apologies for things not being typical, but thanks, as always, for your continued patience and support in helping to keep us afloat!

UPDATE: 8/14/20: Good news! All items are finally back to normal turnaround times with no delays in production. However, please feel free to contact me if you want me to check the latest for a certain item type before placing your order, because it could be possible that new problems crop up, but hopefully not. That said, the delays in USPS shipping times as a result of Trump Administration directives to delay the delivery of first class mail are becoming more significant, so please factor in anywhere from a couple days to couple weeks longer than normal for delivery. We can ship through other carriers by request, but that will add roughly $5-$25 to the price. Just email or add a note in your checkout when placing your order if you'd like to add that to your order. As always, feel free to email for updated info if you have any concerns before placing an order. Thanks for your continued patience and support!

UPDATE: 8/7/20: Continued improvement! Hats are still the only item experiencing delays still, but those delays are getting shorter - at the moment, 3-8 business days. Again, we are seeing USPS shipping times becoming slower in the last couple weeks as a result of Trump Administration directives to delay the delivery of first class mail, so mail delivery times may take longer now than previously. We can ship through other carriers by request, but that will add roughly $5-$25 to the price. As always, feel free to email for updated info if you have any concerns before placing an order. Thanks as always for your patience and support!

UPDATE: 8/1/20: In the last week there has been a dramatic improvement, and almost all items are now back to normal turnarounds. (yay!) However, hats are still delayed more than usual, though those are turning much faster than a couple weeks ago. Also be aware that we are seeing USPS shipping times becoming slower in the last couple weeks. This matches reports of Trump Administration directives to delay the delivery of first class mail, so mail delivery times may take longer now than previously. As always, feel free to email for updated info if you have any concerns before placing an order. Thanks as always for your patience and support!

-----

UPDATE: 7/10/20: Still getting better, but still some delays. The items with the biggest delay issues are still hats, so please be sure to note the delay on getting those to you. Premium framed prints are having a bit of a delay as well. Most other products are close to the normal turnaround. Fall festivals, by the way, have mostly now all cancelled, so your support is appreciated even more than ever. I'll do my best to keep you updated here, but please feel free to email for updated info if you have any concerns before placing an order. It's starting to look like things won't be back to "normal" anytime this year... Thanks as always for your patience!

UPDATE: 6/29/20: We’re finally seeing improvement in the delays for most products - however, the biggest trouble spot with significant delays is still hats, which are taking as long as 20 business days longer than normal. Rough estimates for all products are below, but please contact me before ordering if you're trying to have something for a specific date or occasion, and I can check the latest status of that product type. Thanks so much for your continued patience on the delays. Unfortunately, it looks more and more like “normal” is still a long way away, so your support is really appreciated through these crazy days.

UPDATE: 6/23/20: Many product timelines are improving, but hats are still the item with the longest delays. Again, to be on the safe side, assume at least a one to two week delay as compared to the normal time for fulfilling any order other than shirts, stickers, and cards - but here are the latest estimates on product groups. As always, if for any reason any order can't be completed, I'll fully refund it. Thanks as always for your support as things continue to be out of the normal timeline or routines.

UPDATE: 6/7/20: Things continue to change week by week as far as what products have longer or shorter delays. Please feel free to contact me if you are hoping for something by a certain date and want the latest update before placing an order. To be on the safe side, assume at least a one to two week delay as compared to the normal time for fulfilling any order. Sometime orders are faster, but sometimes slower - so consider these estimates. As always, if for any reason any order can't be completed, I'll fully refund it. And thanks again for your continued patience and support as things continue to change.

UPDATE: 5/14/20: Hats, flags, and mugs seem to still be the products with the longest production delays. I'll start posting the latest status as a list, to try to keep things more clear. These delays are estimates based on orders that come through merged with the official posted delays by the companies that produce the items. Sometime orders are faster, but sometimes slower - so consider these estimates. As always, if for any reason any order can't be completed, I'll fully refund it. And thanks again for your continued patience and support as things continue to change.

-----

UPDATE: 5/8/20: Except for shirts, stickers and greeting cards, nearly all items are now running on a 6-10 business day delay because the companies that print the items are experiencing high demand while running on reduced staff to meet Covid-19 safety standards. That can mean up to 15 days for some items that would normally ship in 4. Some products are even longer: Hats are sometimes up to a 15 business day delay, and mugs up to a 20 day delay. There is no delay on t-shirts, hoodies, stickers, and greeting cards, which all ship by me personally usually within 1 or 2 days of being ordered. As always, if anything changes after an order is placed and it can't be completed, you will be fully refunded, but most companies are gradually increasing production rather than decreasing. I really apologize for the extra time everything is taking, but really appreciate the support now more than ever.

-----

UPDATE: 4/22/20: Our "basic" frames are back in stock, though the new ones are a little wider than the originals. Otherwise, no difference, so I am removing the image of the temporary textured frame from the last update, just to avoid confusion. Still no delay on t-shirts, hoodies, stickers, and greeting cards, which all ship by me personally. Many other items are running from a 4-10 day delay. As always, if anything changes after an order is placed and it can't be completed, you will be fully refunded.

-----

UPDATE: 4/16/20: Still no delay on t-shirts, hoodies, stickers, and greeting cards, which all ship by me personally. All of our other products are still available and being produced, but printers/suppliers that are now reporting delays from 4-10 days due to operating at reduced capacity. Hats are a particular item experiencing this delay, due to the embroidery. Also, the normal frames for our "Basic framing" for graphic prints and art posters are no longer available and are temporarily being replaced with similar frames that are slightly wider and textured If you prefer the original "basic" frame, please wait til a later date to place that order, otherwise they will ship with the new frame. There is no change at this time to graphic print "premium" frame options or to frames used for photo glossy prints or photo canvas prints. Thanks, as always, for your understanding and support!

-----

UPDATE: 4/3/20: Still no delay on t-shirts, hoodies, stickers, and greeting cards, which all ship by me personally. All of our other products are still available and being produced, but come from printers/suppliers that are now operating at reduced capacity to create safer working conditions as well as with some production from alternate locations, so orders naturally are taking longer to be finished and shipped. Please expect several extra days longer than the normal times listed on product pages for orders other than t-shirts, hoodies, stickers, and greeting cards.

-----

UPDATE: 3/25/20: Some of our printers/suppliers have reduced capacity to create safer working conditions and moved some production to other locations. Due to this, orders may take longer to be finished and shipped. Please add a few extra days into the expected ship dates for most of our items. T-shirts, hoodies, stickers, and greeting cards are all ready for shipping and are shipped by me personally, so no delay on any of those items. Again, if for any reason you order something and some unexpected change means that your order can't be fulfilled, I will fully refund you.

-----

UPDATE: 3/20/20: Our California-based suppliers have closed in accordance with state Safer at Home guidelines, but all have production sites in other locations that are still open. Some products, like framed prints, are taking a couple days longer, but as of now, all products are still available. If, for any reason, you order something and some unexpected change means that your order can't be fulfilled, I will fully refund you.

-----

ORIGINAL POST: 3/17/20: Adapting to the challenges posed by Coronavirus and COVID-19 are an ever changing situation for all of us. It's not unreasonable to expect that at some point, some products may not be available.

At the moment, all of our products are still being produced and shipped as normal. I ship all t-shirts and hoodies myself, so those will continue to be available as long as the postal service is still delivering. Most of my other products - hats, pillows, prints, etc are printed to order by different printers in the United States and shipped directly to you by them. As of now, all of my suppliers are still open and printing as normal. If they choose to close or limit their production in the name of safety, I will support that wholeheartedly. Should that happen, I'll update the status here. But for now, all products are printing and shipping as normal.

As an artist in uncertain times, your support is appreciated now more than ever, and if my work can bring you a bit of beach joy or retail therapy from home, even better. But the safety of everyone around us is most important, so please take whatever steps you can to isolate and stay safe, and I will support any decisions my suppliers and printers make to do the same.

This is a post I write every year - though after doing this for several years, I’m realizing that the info doesn’t change much! But here we go with this year’s “Can I get it by Christmas?” information:

In short, the “safe” shipping deadlines are:
DECEMBER 15 for shirts, hoodies, & stickers, but DECEMBER 10 for everything else.

Note that this year, no shirts, hoodies, or stickers will ship between DEC 17 and JAN 6. All shirts ordered December 18 or later will ship not ship until January 7.

More detail below.)

And to give more detail:
Hats, Prints, Pillows, Tote bags, Mugs, Flags, Magnets: Dec 10
T-shirts, Hoodies, Stickers, Greeting Cards: Dec 15

The truth is that these are general guidelines, and somewhat guesswork. Production and shipping does not stop on these dates, these are just dates that should allow plenty of safe time to make it and get it to you. If you order a print at 6am on Dec 11 it is still just as safe as if you ordered it the night of Dec 10. These dates are a combination of watching how long other orders usually take and the recommendations our delivery services give - but in the end, they’re out of our control, because the shipping is by outside companies like USPS or UPS. So if you order a hat on Dec 17, we’ll still make and ship it in hopes of getting to you, but chances are just more iffy. And of course a gift card is always a safe bet - even on Dec 24!

All the Dec 10 items ship directly to you from the companies who make or print them - thus the extra time factored in. It may be worth keeping in mind that pillows and framed prints seem to take the longest time to ship. Hats and magnets can often, but not always, deliver pretty quickly. Shirts and other Dec 15 items ship directly from me - so I have a little more control over when they go out and can ship them fastest.

If you want to decide for yourself whether to chance it after the basic dates above, here is more detail about the "normal" timings of our products and shipping:

If you live in the LA area, I have two final pop-ups coming up.
It's the age old question every year: Can I still get it in time? If you're still shopping for Christmas gifts, here's more detail on our shipping deadlines:

the basic "safe" deadlines for US shipping:
Pillows, posters, graphic prints, hats, mugs, tote bags, glossy prints, canvasbox prints - DECEMBER 10
Shirts, hoodies, stickers, greeting cards - DECEMBER 15

Note that this year, there will be no shipments of shirts/hoodies and stickers between December 17 and January 2. All shirts ordered Dec 17 or later will not ship until January 3.

(Gift cards are available again on demand - just email if you'd like to purchase one! More detail below.)

I say this every year, but the thing about these dates is that they are honestly just best safe guesses. These are based on recommendations given by our suppliers and the post office/shipping companies merged with the typical times our orders process and ship. We don't make the deliveries ourselves, so we're just trying to give the best info. There's always a chance you might still get orders in time even if you order after these dates - and we've had good luck in previous years, and of course we'll try to get them out as fast as possible no matter when you order. (I will note that there have been more issues/delays/mistakes in the past two years than in previous years with postal and delivery services.) And of course a gift card is always a safe bet - even on Dec 24!

If you want to decide for yourself whether to chance it after the basic dates above, here is more detail about the "normal" timings of our products and shipping:

Framed posters/prints, and canvasbox prints are slowest - they generally ship out about 5-7 days after the order is received. Delivery of those usually happen around 3-4 days after they ship, depending on where in the country you are. Unframed posters/prints, pillows, hats, mugs, and totes are next - they generally ship out about 3-5 days after the order is received. Delivery of those again usually happen around 3-4 days after they ship, depending on where in the country you are. Shirts, hoodies, stickers and greeting cards are fastest - they usually ship the day after an order is received, 2 days max. Delivery of those is usually 3-5 days after they ship. (By the way, hoodies always ship Priority because of their weight anyway.)

Also, if you live in LA, I'll be doing a pop-up at the Santa Monica Pier on Saturday the 8th from 11a-4:30pm; and another at King Harbor Village Tasting Room in Redondo Beach on Thursday the 13th from 6-9pm. Stop by and grab a last minute gift in person!

And finally - gift cards! Gift cards are virtual and delivered by email, so you can get them even at the last minute on Christmas Day if you forget someone! Print it out and wrap it - or just email it to them. It costs per day just to offer gift cards live on the site, so again this year I'm going to do gift cards by request. Just email me and I'll gladly flip the switch to make them available and send you a link for you to purchase online.

As always, thanks for supporting OsoPorto. This is our fifth holiday season, and every year I get to meet more of you and am always thrilled to discover you like our stuff - even if just the Instagram posts. Your support keeps it all going, so thank you. I hope the holidays are great ones for you this year.

Is it too late to get it there for Christmas? Well, probably.

Today, Saturday the 16th, is the final day to order shirts and hoodies and get them in time for Christmas. All other items (hats, prints, pillows, mugs, totes) had a shipping deadline of the 11th. You can still order them, and I upgrade all late orders to Priority shipping when possible just to help, but I would say it's 99% certain they won't get there in time for Christmas at this point. You can always check more detail about timings in the earlier shipping deadlines post here: Christmas is Coming!

Also this year, any shirt and hoodie orders made after the 17th will not ship until January 3rd. (So any shirt orders after the 17th definitely won't get there in time for Christmas - or New Years!)

Gift Cards are another option. Gift cards are available on demand in amounts from $5 to $150 and are delivered by email, so you can order those anytime. I have to flip a switch on the website to make those available, so just email me or message me if you want to buy one and I will turn that on!

Hopefully you've seen the emails and social media postings on this and don't get caught by surprise, but my apologies for any inconvenience this causes anyone. In past years, delivery services (especially USPS) were somehow working miracles and getting things there amazingly fast. This year there have been much slower deliveries and more complications than normal, so if you are counting on something getting there, I'm much more wary about the chances of that happening and really don't want you or anyone else disappointed! With Christmas on a Monday this year, that window is narrower, too. As for shirts, I ship those myself and this year I'll be home visiting family, so even if you're near El Porto there's still no way for me to deliver it to you last minute.

As always thanks for supporting OsoPorto and if you are getting or giving something from us, I really hope you love it! I hope you have a really great holiday with family or friends and look forward to a better 2018 for everyone.

Saturday come join me for Pints, Shirts & Tacos at Scholb Brewery in Torrance! I'll have a pop-up shop with all our shirts and some other stuff there, plus OsoPorto art and prints hanging (those will stay at Scholb for a little while, too.) Meanwhile, Scholb is releasing their Oso Orange Ale - an easy drinking beer with an orange zest. But that's not all - there will be tacos! (And even though I'm all about the tacos, I have to let you in on a little secret - the taco guy makes burgers that are craaazy good.)

If you made a custom preorder of the Peace Surf & Tacos shirt and you pick it up there, I'll buy you a taco and Scholb will give you $1 off your beer. That offer also applies if you order one of the Antique Red or new Midnight shirts here online now and pick it up there! I'm officially there from 4-8, but I'll probably stick around for another Oso Orange afterward, so come on out and say hi!

Scholb is located at 2964 Columbia Street, Torrance CA 90503 - around back in an industrial complex. Don't worry, you're probably in the right place.

It's already time to print a new batch of the Peace, Surf & Tacos design. I love that you guys like this one so much, but I also get more "I wish it was in another color" for this one than any other. So here's your chance. As you may know, whenever possible, I take preorders before a new batch of printing. This allows me to offer it in any color, as long as the design and print color doesn't change; and also to offer it on other styles of shirts like ladies fit, tank tops, etc. So if you always wanted this design as an orange tank top, or an Indigo Blue tee - or any other combo - get your order in now because preorders end at Noon on Tuesday. I've set up several color combos as pre-sets, but I've posted a chart of every color shirt available. If you want one of those, just select "Custom Color" and type your choice into the blank. Keep in mind that the design is a thin one-pass coat of a warm off-white, so darker and richer colors are best. Or if you want a subtle design, go for a light color like Ash or Sand.

This new batch of shirts should be ready to ship on the 27th. But there's more: if you live in the LA area, come join me for Pints, Shirts, and Tacos at Scholb Brewery in Torrance on Saturday, the 25th from 4-8pm. If you preordered a shirt, you can pick it up there before they ship, and you'll get a free taco and $1 off a beer, too! You can also try out Scholb's Oso Orange Ale. I'll have all the OsoPorto gear there and plenty of art hanging. Watch here and on social media for more details, but mark your calendar now and come have a beer with me.

It's pretty much a holiday tradition - time to issue the annual deadlines for shipping in time for Christmas.

Here are the basic "safe" deadlines for US shipping:
Pillows, posters, graphic prints, hats, mugs, tote bags, canvasbox prints - DECEMBER 9
Shirts, hoodies, stickers, greeting cards - DECEMBER 15; (local orders in SoCal - December 19)

(Gift cards available by request - just email if you'd like to purchase one!)

The truth about these dates is that they are honestly just best safe guesses. These are based on recommendations given by our suppliers and the post office/shipping companies merged with the typical times our orders process and ship. There's always a chance you might still get orders in time even if you order after these dates - we've had good luck in previous years (even pretty late), and of course we'll do our best to get them out as fast as possible - but we can't make any guarantees. If you're in doubt, why not go with a gift card?!

Here is more detail about the "normal" timings of our products and shipping if you want to decide for yourself:

Framed posters/prints, and canvasbox prints are slowest - they generally ship out about 5-7 days after the order is received. Delivery of those usually happen around 3-4 days after they ship, depending on where in the country you are. Unframed posters/prints, pillows, mugs, totes, and hats are next - they generally ship out about 3-5 days after the order is received. Delivery of those again usually happen around 3-4 days after they ship, depending on where in the country you are. Shirts, hoodies, stickers and greeting cards are fastest - they usually ship the day after an order is received, 2 days max. Delivery of those is usually 3-5 days after they ship. Local orders ship faster, so I've put a pretty late deadline on those. (By the way, hoodies always ship Priority because of their weight anyway.)

And finally - gift cards! Gift cards are virtual and delivered by email, so you can get them even at the last minute on Christmas Day if you forget someone! Print it out and wrap it - or just email it to them. It costs per day just to offer gift cards live on the site, so this year I'm going to do gift cards by request. Just email me and I'll gladly flip the switch so that you can purchase one online.

As always, thanks for the support for OsoPorto. If you're getting or giving gifts of ours, I hope you love them. But no matter what, I hope the holiday gives you time to spend with those most important to you or do whatever you love most.

[Update: As of 12/3, all of our pre-orders have shipped or delivered, but you can still get the Peace Surf & Tacos t-shirt and Point of View hoodie in their "regular" colors and styles. Be sure to subscribe to our emails (bottom of page) to get notice of our next pre-order when you can choose your own custom color and style of the next design that prints.]

--

I'm pretty stoked to reveal our two new designs: Peace, Surf, and Tacos and Point of View. Both of these designs are on preorder through 11:16pm on 11/16. That means until then, you can order it in colors or styles other than what we'll be printing the stock in - as long as the design and print color does not change.

Peace, Surf and Tacos will be printed in on a Classic Fit unisex Antique Red t-shirt. Rather have it on a different color shirt? We can do that. Prefer it on a tank top or ladies fit? We can do that, too. I've set up a bunch of alternate options already on the site, but if you want something else, email me and I'll see if its something we can do (which will mainly just depend on if my shirt supplier makes it.) Since this design is printed in an off-white, these are best on a darker or vibrant color.

Point of View is a minimal modernist take on El Porto, but also could be nearly any coastline, depending on your point of view. (Bridge or Smokestacks? Shark or Sailboat? Its up to you.) These will print on a light Ash Gray heather pullover. Again, the preorder period gives you a chance to order it in another color or as a t-shirt if you prefer. And again, if you want it in some way that isn't shown here, just email and ask. Because this design prints in colored inks, you'll want them to be on a light color shirt.

Remember that alternate color/style options are only available until 11:16pm on Wednesday 11/16. After that, you can continue to preorder them in their primary style option until the printing is complete and they start shipping, which I expect to be by December 1. Grab yours now!

Have you noticed some of the cool new photography on our website and on social media? Thats the work of Jeff Scott of Scott Bonnie Photo. Jeff reached out to me a few months ago because he was looking to add more product oriented model shots to his body of work. It's always something I've wanted to do, but really had no way to manage it, so I was pretty stoked when we were able to come up with a plan that worked for both of us. I wanted the shots to feel more real life and not too posed, so we decided against using models. I asked Morgan Sliff, a local surfer I'm a fan of, if she'd be willing to play model for a day. At the time Morgan was just a couple weeks away from hitting her personal goal of 366 consecutive days of surfing, but we had met last year at a local art show after connecting through Instagram. She agreed and even wrangled her brother Mike into being a second model. That they could joke around like, well, family probably added a bonus layer of authenticity to the shoot that I loved. They were both really great sports as we shot throughout El Porto and squeezed as much as we could into a few hours. I grabbed these snapshots while they were at work, but you can check out some of the final shots below and on the front page slideshow. You'll also find some on individual product pages here on the site, as well as on social media over the next few weeks. Be sure to connect on Twitter and Facebook to catch them. And thanks again to Morgan, Mike and Jeff for making this happen!

Its 4am and I've just gotten back from hiding the last of the Oso Eggs all over El Porto and El Segundo. Just another of my hairbrained ideas, but hopefully one that ends up being fun for some of you. If you're around, keep your eyes open and you may spot one - they are all in plain sight (so no need to disturb anything to find them.) Inside you might find a voucher for a free OsoPorto t-shirt or poster, or one for a free bag of coffee or bottle of cold brew concentrate from Three25 Coffee, or a free day pass to Easton Gym in El Porto, or a free drink from Summers Sports Bar! There are also discount coupons and of course OsoPorto stickers in all of them, too! If you find one, use the #OsoEgg hashtag and let us know on social media! Good luck and Happy Easter!

After-Christmas update: just a reminder that there is only one shipping day for shirts during the week of New Years (see details below.) Normal shipping for shirts resumes January 5th. All other items ship as normal with standard Christmas and New Years holidays.

original post:

It's that time of year again - time once again to issue the annual deadlines for shipping in time for Christmas.

Here are the basic deadlines for US shipping:
Posters, pillows, mugs, totes, hats - December 10
Shirts & stickers - December 16; (local orders in SoCal - December 20)
Canvasbox prints - December 16

And gift cards are available Dec 20-26! (more detail below)

The truth about these dates is that they are best safe, quite honestly, guesses. These are based on recommendations given by our suppliers and the post office or shipping companies. There's always a chance you can still get things in time after these dates, and we'll do our best to get them out as fast as possible, but we can't make any guarantees. If you're in doubt, go with a gift card!

Here is more detail about the normal timings of our products and shipping if you want to decide for yourself:

Posters, pillows, mugs, totes, and hats are slowest - they generally ship out about 3-5 days after the order is received. Delivery of those usually happen around 3-4 days after they ship, depending on where in the country you are. Shirts and stickers are fastest - they usually ship the day after an order is received, 2 days max. Delivery of those is usually 2-4 days after they ship. Local orders ship faster, so I've put a pretty late deadline on those. (and if you're within 5 miles, I may even deliver by hand!) Canvasbox prints usually ship about 2-3 days after an order is placed, and delivery is usually around 2-4 days after they ship.

And finally - gift cards! We'll put gift cards back up on the site from the 20th to 26th. Gift cards are electronic and delivered by email, so you can get them even at the last minute on Christmas Day if you forget someone! Print it out and wrap it - or just email it to them. If anyone wants gift cards available sooner than the 20th, just email me and I'll add them to the store sooner.

An important note: In order to spend time with family, there will be only 1 shipment of shirts per week during the weeks of Christmas and New Years. Orders received after the 20th but by the 22nd will ship out Dec 23/24. (You won't get those in time for Christmas!) Orders between Dec 22-29 will ship Dec 30/31. Orders after Dec 29 will ship Jan 5. This applies to shirts and hoodies only. All other products will process and ship as normal aside from normal holidays.

As always, thanks for the support for OsoPorto. If you're getting or giving gifts of ours, I hope you love them. But no matter what, I hope you get the chance to spend time with those that are most important to you and have a holiday full of moments of joy.

Just a note to say thank you to everyone who supported the 15 by 15 pre-order campaign for our 'Berica and Freewaves shirts. Most of all for those of you who had to put up with all the posts and plugs on social media, and of course also to those who bought them, but especially those who shared it on other pages. It was a couple posts to other group facebook pages that actually led to the spike that hit our goal at the end, so that really made a difference.

For those that don't know, Freewaves didn't get enough orders to go to print, but 'Berica pulled through with 2 orders in the last 30 minutes. I'm really excited that it pulled through - I had pretty much given up hope a day or two earlier. This was the first time I've tried a goal-based pre-order and I'm not sure how often I'll do it - its pretty stressful! Maybe just on designs that I really don't mind if they don't go to print? Who knows… That said, I do think I will make pre-orders more regular when doing a new run of shirts, because that allows me to open up the options for other styles of shirts like Ladies Fit and Tank Tops if they are ordered before printing and I like being able to offer that to you.

And by the way, for any that read this in time: the cut off for Ladies Fit of the 'Berica is Thursday Morning, June 18, so be sure to get any orders in if you wanted that option. (A good idea for tank tops as well, though we will print a small number of those.)

As always, be sure to stay in touch through our Facebook page and Twitter account, because those always have the latest info about what we're up to.
A few weeks ago, I stopped by Motion Bicycles in Hermosa Beach for their "Save The Mural" event. After seeing the cool changes to the shop and talking to the guys, I left with an idea to do a poster centered around the bike path that runs through El Porto (which is already often the subject of plenty of OsoPorto photos.) While the imagery would naturally be local, I wanted the poster to have a universal appeal, and was drawn toward the idea of forward motion and simple bold graphic iconography. In some ways, I had a vague idea in the back of my head of the simple graphic travel posters of long ago, but rather than it being about the location, using the simple word "go" felt both graphic and inspirational, without being flowery or forced.

The end result is our newest poster, "Go" available both at 16x20", and at a larger18x24" size that includes an additional flat white border to help set off the image in a similar way that a matte does. These snaps evolved into the canvasbox prints available here, but that as well as the continuous chronicle was never really part of the plan or idea for OsoPorto. I first just started posting occasional neighborhood shots to claim the Instagram name, but the account gained a following and took on a life of its own. Even after launching the OsoPorto site with shirts and other goods, I've tried to be careful not to turn the OsoPorto instagram into a typical retail advertising account.

A few of those OsoPorto shots, along with work by three local photographers: South Bay Muse, RP Photography, and Arlene P Carley Photography, will be featured in an exhibit of daily life in the South Bay called "Snapshots of the South Bay." This one was an accident - and actually kind of worked the way I originally meant for OsoPorto to work as far as it being a side "creative project" - as a place to play and make an idea when it came to me. While I have a big list of ideas both on paper and in my head of things I want to do and add to the store, this one wasn't one of them.

It's not news that Winters often bring about some great sunsets in El Porto - mainly because its the only time of year we have clouds, which add to the spectacle that often happens. Noticing the mostly cloudy sky on Sunday, I walked down to the beach and posted myself in case the colors showed up. And though briefly, they did. But for whatever reason, I had posted myself in a place that only afforded the stereotypical and somewhat ordinary sunset beach shots that I try to avoid. And to a degree, I was frankly just enjoying the moment, which I don't regret. I shared the pics on my twitter feed soon after, but they didn't really rate anything more than that. Sometimes your eye just isn't "on," if that makes any sense. At the same time, the pics were beautiful purely because of the sunset, and I still had an urge to do something with them. I ended up with this design, using three shots at different times of the sunsets progression merged into one composition. A quick glance may make you think its one shot, but a second look will prove otherwise. Graphically, the stripes not only allow for the multiple windows, but also reflect the progression aspect of the sunset conceptually.

But after posting and making the hoodie available in gray, I still got requests for a dark hoodie. Who am I to deny the will of the people?! I reworked a few things and figured out a way to make it happen. So now the hoodie is available either in blue on heather or in a light tan on navy. Also by request, I'm doing ladies sizes of these. What all that that means is that I'm spreading the order out over two colors plus both unisex and ladies sizes - thats 20 different options. There will probably be a few color/size options that may only have one made. So if you have a favorite size and color, be sure to order it by Monday March 9 to guarantee it's made and reserved for you. These should ship around March 25. Get yours now here!

UPDATE: These are ready ahead of schedule and will ship on March 20!

For a long time many of you have been asking for - and I've been promising to do - a hoodie. I've finally got a design ready, but I need to pick out the color way. Last time I did this, the responses surprised me and changed what we ended up going with. So lets try it again. I already am leaning to one, but lets see what you say. And even if I don't go with your choice, know that I do consider the comments and they influence what I do later in other products, so its always appreciated.

One big consideration to factor into your choice: going with a dark color fabric and lighter ink means having to do a thicker print. I always hear (and agree) that people like a softer print, but maybe you don't care as much in a hoodie? Or maybe you like a lighter color fabric regardless? Let me know what you think. Drop a comment below or on our Facebook page, or send an email, tweet us (@itsOsoPorto) - whatever you like. Its not a vote, but I'm curious what you think! Watch for the choice to go on sale in a few days!

We marked December 10 as our last day to order and be sure you your items in time for Christmas. The true story behind that date is that its pretty nebulous, and we picked it because its pretty safe, based on recommendations from our suppliers and the post office. There's still a chance you can get your order by Christmas if you order later than that, and we'll do our best to get shipments out as fast as possible - but we can't make any guarantees. So here's some info to help you decide for yourself:

First of all - we now have Gift Cards available. These are electronic via email, so you can order them even on Christmas Eve and have them instantly! They come in several different amounts, but they can also be combined to make a larger amount. This is obviously your best bet and safest route for a last minute order.

Aside from that, here's some info for US customers based on everything we have shipped since October in case you want to decide for yourself whether to take a chance. (Obviously, shipping is all in the control of the postal/delivery carriers. Keep in mind that they may be a little slower during Christmas due to the volume of mail.) Our t-shirt orders so far almost always process, pack and go out in 1 or 2 business days. Within the LA area, the shipments so far usually deliver 1-2 business days after that. Across the country, they generally seem to deliver in 2 to 4 business days. That could be a string of good luck, so keep in mind that it could take longer, especially as it gets closer to Christmas. Canvasbox prints and posters tend to be ready to ship out in 2 to 4 business days. In the LA area, they usually deliver 2 business days after that and, like the shirts, often deliver across the country in 2 to 4 business days. All that said, remember our "official" guidelines in our FAQ are that items usually ship in 2 to 4 business days, and that shipping can take 2 to 8 days. So far, we've almost always beat that, but we can't make that a promise.

So use that info to decide whats right for you. Depending on where you are and when you order, it may be pretty likely that you can still get it in time. Or maybe you don't mind even if it gets there a couple days after Christmas. Or maybe the gift card option is really whats right for you anyway. Regardless of what you choose, we hope you have a great holiday season thats full of joy and oso special moments.

If you follow the OsoPorto Facebook or Twitter accounts, this is old news to you - but our online store is now live at osoporto.com! I "soft launched" Wednesday via Facebook because of their small audience for posts, allowing it to be test driven a couple days and make some little fixes before making it official everywhere. (Of course, if you still find any broken links or typos, please be sure to let me know.) Also, be sure to check out your listing on the Founders Club page!

You made it happen. The goal of turning this from an idea into a creative outlet that will hopefully support itself is now a reality. It's easy for me to forget that the kickstarter project wasn't just about getting your rewards made and to you, but it was about kickstarting the making of the actual online store. And now we have. We did it. Thank you.

I'll hopefully be adding more print selections and new products continually. On the radar are posters and hats… plus more stuff for the home, and, of course, new shirt designs… so be sure to connect on Twitter and Facebook to always know what's new.

I can't say thank you enough. Your support through every stage and helping to spread the word was invaluable. Hopefully the fun part starts now… thanks for being a part of it.

People post and send us pics of our stickers that they see all over the world. Whether just on a skateboard or a fridge, we always love seeing em. Some of them go even farther: already, they've been spotted on the top of a mountain in Sochi, Russia, on the streets of the Galapagos Islands, on a lifeguard stand in Miami, and a train station in Copenhagen. But it isn't just faroff locations, sometimes its fun ones too. Our pal Chris in Boston had posted an edited version of the above pic showing just the sticker and harbor in Provincetown - which was great! But later sent us the full one. He said he had edited the sign out figuring we'd want to "keep it classy." In our world, fun is oso better than classy, so we decided to share the full pic here. Thanks to you, we never know where we'll show up next.

Yeah, that was the longest home stretch ever. But at long last, all the shirts have shipped!! (whew!) If you didn't see on facebook or twitter, the prints all shipped about a week before that. And of course, books and stickers had shipped a while earlier. So as far as the kickstarter project is concerned, its finally completed. (woot!) I can't thank all of you enough for your support, backer or otherwise. I may post a piece someday of my main tips for a kickstarter - but my biggest one (besides "don't do it!") is to plan for a significant amount of complications and delays - then double that. Thank you for the patience in getting your final reward in your hands. I'm really loving the pics from people enjoying em out in the real world. (By the way - if you post em, be sure to tag em with #showyouroso!)

So what's next? The whole point of the campaign was to kickstart OsoPorto into existence as a brand of shirts, prints, and goods. In the next couple weeks, I hope to launch an online store with most of the same shirt and print designs, and plenty of plans for other designs and products as well. I'm thrilled with how the site is coming along and excited to unveil it. The Kickstarter orders were done through it as well, so the back end systems have all been tested through those. (By the way, shirts sold on the store are already printed - so there won't be delays like those encountered to get everything ordered and made for kickstarter.) Overall, we are in the red as expected, but thanks to you, its the manageable place that was hoped for and a good place to launch from.

So start thinking about your Christmas list now and watch for our store in the next week or two at osoporto.com! (and most of all - tell your friends!)

And once more, thanks for the support. Couldn't have done it without you.
