Today we've launched OTFans version 5. This version update includes vBulletin 4 with a lot of new features and a new theme. Sadly we lost parts of the update in a hard drive crash and had to rush it. But don't worry, we'll tweak the site from time to time until we are there.

The homepage is currently a bit empty but will be filled up with tutorials and articles. If a tutorial in the tutorial section is good enough it will get promoted to an article and posted on the front page. Blogs will also be enabled for server owners or perhaps even everybody in the near future.
The hosted forums tab will be back soon enough and perhaps even the wiki in the future, but not right now.

We hope you like the new theme. If not, give us feedback on how to improve it.

The YATC team has released version 0.3.2 of YATC. This version brings many changes, the most notable being the new light system that Adelae contributed. Khaos confesses in his thread he's been lazy these past 8 months but thanks to the motivation and hard work from nfries88, Ormin, Kilouco, FightingElf, Thomac and especially Adelae this version was released.

Yes you heard me right, 6.4 from scratch. So far he's got the basic functionality done (ie. logging in, chatting, fighting monsters) and has released a video of his progress (see thread link). For those of you that remember using Tibia's 6.4 client this will surly bring back some fond yet disturbing memory's. For those that haven't used 6.4, well I'm sure it will give you a glimpse into Tibia's past.

His thoughts are very reasonable. Why should people hosting a pre-made and unedited OTserv distro on a personal computer, most likely on a cable line their parents pay for, get donation money?

1) Server is actually hosted by a company/server
2) The map is custom, not the same map everyone seems to use for every server

4) Customize the donation items, use different sprites/item effects

Originality has long since become an endangered species in the OT community. With servers and CMSs coming out where all one has to do is run an .exe and install apache, it's no wonder why people don't try dabbling in the art of LUA or C++ anymore.
