Nope, I don't think investing electronics in this way is rational. It spells 'WASTE' in itself - in a big way. The big idea should be a BIGGER opening so even the most-cross-eyed 'bo-bo-kings' who cannot aim well will be able to get the rubbish into the bin... properly.

I think having less dustbins is best. You are encouraged and educated to bring things back to throw... in your own carbon-footprint trash bag, or better still... to the recycling bin.

The next 'bestest' idea is to: HAVE NOTHING TO THROW. But of course, this arena of resource management and waste disposal is beyond the scope of the question at hand (that of a fun bin), but it is the thing: BETTER TO HAVE NOTHING TO THROW AT ALL.

Better still: HAVE LESS PEOPLE - TO THROW THINGS. Don't think about whether to throw rubbish at all; better think about whether you have children or not. The world will be a real lousy foul-up place for them. Better not beget children. Adopt some if you will.

My apologies to all who love children. I do too, but we probably need radical changes to change a world radically on a sharp curve. Just my two cent worth of 'rubbish'.

cheers,

Joe

Mr Otterman, Hello. I,m coming to Singapore to work for a few months. I'm a devoted bicycle commuter and long time associate of Critical Mass and the Midnight Ridazz here in Los Angeles. Can you tell me how I might be able to get connected to the cycling community in Singapore? Thank you, sincerely, Eric Gill

Hey Siva, you guys have got it all down pat! I have a lot to learn from you in managing NGO oriented activities and amassing significant grassroots support with the help of social media channels. There must be a lot of hard work, blood, sweat and tears behind this significant endeavour. Great job and keep the environmental flame burning (not the kind that emits CO2 though).
