Food Security Ordinance , the weapon of mass destruction against Indian Agriculture ..

'70% of Indian people to receive subsidized food grains ' . I woke up to this news and was so shocked at the brazenness of congress party . My first concern is the Indian farmer because along with the tax payer the burden of this mutilating ordinance would be shared by the farmers of this country .

The farmers of this country has always suffered under the socialist congress party . The congress party would stifle markets and impose such tight regime on the movement of grains that farmers rarely got their due . As a result the congress party has devised even more innovative political instrument called minimum support price . You first kill the market and then play a savior by acquiring from the farmer at a MSP which in itself is a pathetic figure . The farmers will be grateful to you irrespective of the days and nights he has to wait in front of the procurement centers for your generosity , because he has no other way of realizing the value of his hard work except through your generosity .

Lack of competitive marketing of agricultural produce is the single biggest reason why farmers get such a dismal percentage of what the end consumer pays . The government has refused to allow free trade in agricultural produce by terrorizing the citizens of the possible inflation and hoarding by private traders . The result is a license raj in agricultural marketing where a license will be given to a Mill or trader if he pays to the government in grain and coin . In many states the mills and traders will have to provide to the government the food grains at a price decided by the goverment which is well below the market price . In such a situation who shares the burden of government plans to provide low cost food grains , the farmer . Because the millers will have to sell them cheap and it mean millers will have to buy from the farmer at a low price . Because of this the government acquires hugely at a very low price and consequently other traders pay the farmer the same price because the price has been imposed on the farmers by the government as no market is allowed to develop . As a result the agricultural economics has become unsustainable and there is acute agricultural distress in the country .

The farmers cannot fight back under this circumstances because they are disorganized and they do not have sympathies of the even so called right wing parties .Even the right wing parties and some experts on agriculture cannot think beyond more government role to alleviate agricultural distress by 'increasing MSP' .They dont talk of free trade they never had the gumption to do it . The Food security ordinance is all set to destroy what ever little market build up we had for agriculture . Now the farmers will be made to beg on their knees standing infront of the government . They will have to beg for an increase in the MSP every year as the input costs increase . First they will have to beg the government to acquire their produce , then they will have to beg for government to give them reasonable MSP and then they will have to beg the government to credit that MSP into their accounts . That is what the Indian farmer would be reduced to under the regime of food security ordinance ,, a beggar .

My Letter to Tehelka's Editor Shoma Chaudhury

Hi Shoma ,

I have been reading Tehelka for a while now and admire your conviction for the people's causes . Since you have stated that you are ideologically left of centre i can understand your efforts to understand the maoist cause . But the problem with your approach is you criticize everybody at your sight and offer no alternate feasible solutions to the problem . This mail is to question your attitude to the problem you have written about recently .

"As long as the State sends brute force into its neglected heartland to reclaim its ‘writ’, Maoists will have an alibi " .

After i read the above lofty statement i felt that you have come up with a solution to deal with maoists . Far from that you criticized every body at your sight and proposed no feasible solution . You damned the state for sending their forces to reclaim the state's writ , you reluctantly criticized the violence inflicted on this country by maoists .

There are 2 main assertions you made in your piece that are untrue . One is that this country's polity does not yield to democratic peaceful movements and the other is that the state could not solve the problem by deploying it's forces to the naxal ridden areas .

This country's polity yields to democratic movements . It is true that this country's politics has severe handicaps but it would be a blatant lie if somebody says democratic peaceful protests are ineffective . what was singur and nandigram agitation ? It eventually turned out violent but it was basically a mass movement specifically focussed on one issue . Why are the politicians scrambling to bring about the land acquisition bill ? Why are politicians scrambling to bring in lokpal even though it might not be in the form and shape proposed Anna hazare ? And there are numerous other occassions when people organized themselves peacefully against the government and have achieved spectacular results . By accusing Indian state of pitting poor against poor Tehelka has subtlely supported the maoist cause .

The Indian state has evolved from utter poverty , illiteracy and a feudal society . It is true that the we have failed on several fronts but look all around India and you will learn for yourself how difficult it is to build a state . The naxalites would have achieved far more success had they organized democratic movements around their causes but the problem of tribals is not their problem the problem is this very democracy and this very political system . They want to smash that and replace that with proletarian dictatorship . And the ruthlessness they are exhibiting to achieve that goal should have shocked you had you been motivated by ideology an iota less than what you are now . The government has repeatedly tried to bring development to those areas through various schemes but the maoist has thwarted that fearing that government will win back the tribals . They feared that their larger communist goal will suffer . All across the world wars happened , freedom , equality , justice and liberty could be given to their people by the leaders only if they were able to eschew violence . Those people who wouldn't want to fight for their freedom or their beliefs were condemned . The Indian state is fighting to defend it's constitution it's value system . And we are supremely confident that the Indian state will regain it's writ in those areas where naxals command and shall ensure that every citizen will get his justice .

A lot of jounalists in this country have started believing that damning India's politicians and Indian state is an ultimate gesture of patriotism . Learn to appreciate the state's will to protect your freedoms , there are democratic and really effective ways to counter the flaws of our country . No reason can justify an armed uprising against our democratic country . Absolutely no reason .

My opinion on the proposed NCTC bill ...

For long we did not know who should be blamed for the failure of preventing terrorist acts on our soil . We wondered if the central government which controls the intelligence mechanisms or the state government which is supposed to act on that intelligence should be held responsible . The intelligence bureau blamed it on state police for failing to act on their intelligence and the state police always complained of inadequate intelligence . We watched at this post-terror sparring with helplessness . We screamed and howled and cursed but nothing changed about our anti-terror preparedness.

It is to the credit of Mr Chidambaram that a proposal to a create single responsible agency is being deliberated upon . It is highly irresponsible to think that the home minister of the country is creating such an organization to undermine the states powers or to undermine the federal structure of this country . Despite the allegations of corruption Mr Chidambaram faces it should be noted that he worked tirelessly to improve the national security of India . He is a man who wants to create real toothful institutions . And the NCTC bill is a result of such intentions .

NCTC will be whole and sole organization that will be acting on terror intelligence . This whole business of coordinating with state police and state intelligence organizations is not working .we need one organization to collect intelligence on terror and to act on it and that is what NCTC is going to do . NCTC is going to be carved out of IB and it will work under IB and one can safely assume that NCTC is a special anti-terror focussed cell of IB with powers to collect intelligence act on that without depending on state police and preempt terror in this country . Such a powerful organization is the need of the hour . The whole argument of undermining federalism debate is continental nonsense . we are not going to undermine federalism or state powers by having a powerful central organization to preempt terror .There is no doubt that the central government may misuse such powers but the possibility of misuse of powers is not an argument strong enough to push back a powerful anti-terror body .

Is there any institution in this country that is not being misused by the government of the day . Aren't the CBI & CVC being misused . Aren't the courts being influenced by the government . Every insititution can be misused by the men in power and this misused happens not just in India but everywhere in the world and the possibility of misuse is not the reason why we should oppose an institution that is supposed to fight terror with single-mindedness .

A balanced view of the Anna-Lokpal issue ..

I have been swinging from one end of the spectrum to the other about this lokpal issue .While i find the idea of having a body that is independent of executive control to investigate and prosecute the corrupt people very appealing i am consumed by the logic of creating such an institution when we can expand the mandate of a body like CVC and CBI and reform those institutions to incorporate all the powers that are being proposed to be given to the Lokpal .

CVC is supposed to investigate and prosecute corrupt people , but the impediment to this is the powers the politicians and the chief secrataries have to prevent such an investigation from happening . The two preliminary things that need to be done to take this anti-corruption movement to the next level in our country is to remove that immunity that government employees and politicians enjoy and insulate the CBI and CVC by ensuring that the CBI and CVC stays independent the way election commission does .

Certainly Anna is not going to kill himself if the government does not bring the bill as per his wishes . That is a political hyperbole into which the naive people could be scared into . Neither is the Anna team expecting to get everything they seek nor their intentions are dictatorial or to create a super powerful body that is capable of swallowing everyone . This 'Anna is monster' story spread by his political opponents is just a defensive tactic of those politicians in the congress who have realized that Anna has touched the raw nerve and it would be suicidal to slander him . Instead they project him as a dictator . He is neither an inflexible authoritarian nor a delusion ed megalomaniac . He is someone in between who has genuinely good intentions of creating a strong anti corruption body but doesn't have the intellectual rigour to understand the flaws of existing institutions . He has derived his strength from the popular outrage and he thinks only on terms of creating a fresh institution which is independent .

I recall an old chinese proverb which say that 'A solution to a problem could create a new set of problems ' . I feel that Anna's team rided on a wrong and a more complex proposal instead of something that is far more catchy less complex and easily understandable to the people . Had Anna asked for an independent CBI and CVC on the lines of election commission he would not have faced this big a wall to climb . Ultimately Lokpal is going to address the complaints of citizens and have them investigated by the CBI or the CVC , had it been as simple and direct as the demand for the autonomy of CBI and CVC he would not have attracted this kind of flak . Now the entire political community is getting together to plot against Anna to sabotage lokpal . They will never give up the control of CBI or the CVC because that is the real thing . Anna made it easier to firewall him by demanding that CBI be placed under Lokpal . The lokpal which is a group of people(god knows how they will choose them) will be heading the CBI sounds even more precarious to a lot of experts on governance and the CBI itself finds the idea of being supervised by an appointed body even more abhorrent than being supervised by the home minister . That is why the CBI opposed it tooth and nail and the government will fully publicize that view to keep it's control over CBI .

The need of the hour is a constitutional autonomy to CBI and CVC the countries premier investigative bodies . Anna has ruined the soup by failing to understand this basic thing . His idea of moving the control of CBI from the home-ministry to a group of appointed people who are supposed to be independent is nauseating . He gave the government that hole to escape from and the congress party will take that hole to come out of it . I am for the independence of CBI i can never agree to place that under a Lokpal or any group of people . As far as the other demands of the Anna's team is concerned it's better to reform CVC and give it the mandate the Lokpal has instead of creating a whole new bureaucracy ..

The great war between Socialism and Capitalism

The debate between socialism and capitalism has intensified these days as we brace up to a world wide economic crisis . The nay sayers and the leftists all across the world have asked the governments to expand their size and role in direct economy and curtail the animal instincts of capitalism . I would like to start my arguments by mentioning to them that socialism is relatively a new historical phenomenon and has no traces of existence before Vladmir lenin overturned Russia into a socialist state . The centerpiece of Karl Marx's argument is that inequality is the prime driver of poverty and the pursuit of equality in all forms whether it is economical , political and social is desired and should be enforced on the society forcefully . Equality was the justification for the unparalleled crimes committed by the communists against humanity all across the world . I do not intend to reel the numbers today as i have done on numerous other occassions but socialism and communism has got a chance to prove themselves in our world and they failed miserably . Russia was the country that sustained communism for long but eventually socialism could not sustain even in Russia and the pursuit of equality has shattered societies irreparably in Russia .

But the big question today is Is inequality the prime reason for the poverty in our country or reason at all for any poverty in this country . Is capitalism driving people into worser poverty or alleviating them from poverty ? Are Indian poor better off in the pre-1990's socialistic Indian than they are now ? What role does politics and governance play in alleviating poverty ? Who is the real culprit of our human development problems governance or capitalism ?

The favourite socialist slogan is 'Inequality is the prime driver of poverty in any society' . Jawaharlal Nehru bought this argument and he ensured that India does not have too many rich people . He did this by preventing enterpreneurs from entering into most of the sectors of Indian economy , he monopalised most of the sectors by government run PSU's and that was communism minus autocracy . The inequality in Nehruvian indian was very less . There are very few rich people only enough rich that the government and Nehru could be comfortable with . He hated money and he prevented a system that would allow people to make money for themselves . That socialistic equality pursuing system lasted till 1991 till P.V Narsimha Rao took over . P.V has realized that the pursuit of equality has led the country to the edge of the cliff . Who should take responsibility for the fact that we were on the verge of bankruptcy in 1991 . Which leaders and which political and economic systems should be held responsible for our situation in 1991 ? can we ever forget the humiliation that we had to mortage our gold for just 500 crore rupees ? Now it's time for the capitalists to answer why socialism in India failed because we promise a better system a system that's based on freedom , liberty and pursuit of happiness .

Selfishness is the natural law under which a human being functions . There are people who have an intellectual need , there are some who would like to be rich and there are some who would want to be famous but it is this selfishness which drives the man to think and to redefine himself to achieve his life's goal . A life which is not free to be excited by some desire and pursue that desire is not a life at all . A life that cannot purse intellectually , emotionally and philosophically what it desires is not worth living .Socialism takes the freedom away takes the life away from the human being . It asks for a mechanical pursuit of life without any desire and goal for oneself and if at all a man has a goal it should be for the larger interest of society .This idea of living for the society has destroyed men , took the life away from him .

Why did the government run PSU's fail despite being a monopoly ? Why did they become such a drag on economy despite being the only companies to operate in that space ? That is because no body's head is in the line of fire . Neither the politicians who appoint the managers to these PSU's nor the managers themselves lose anything if those PSU's fail , their head is not in the line of fire . In one simple line those companies are not theirs . This 'head in the line of fire' makes all the difference , this is why capitalism succeeds and socialism fails . Praful patel lead AirIndia for 5 years .He lead AirIndia into that bottom less pitt and now when he failed Air India he is moved to other ministry . In the last 10 years the government of India has pumped in 16000 crores into that bottomless pitt called AirIndia . Now it is going to pour more money into AirIndia . Nobody in our socialist government for one moment has the guts to ask why is the government running an airline company ? What is the necessity for the government to pour valuable tax payers money into that drain ? MTNL is next in line for government assistance . It is incomprehensible why government wants to run these companies at a huge loss to exchequer . If poverty alleviation is all we are concerned about Infrastructure should be our top priority . If our government stops saving those sick units and instead push that money into infrastructure we would be a far better country .

Is the government more efficient or private corporations more efficient with the capital ? If we put the same amount of capital into the hands of government and a private enterpreneur it's historically proven that the enterpreneur extracts more efficiency from the capital , that capital at the disposal of enterpreneur has created sustainable economic systems and consequently jobs . The same capital in the hands of governement has depleted . The government goes for job creation without looking at the sustainability and viability and the systems and PSU's government create later on become a drag on the government . West bengal is 2nd largest industrialised state in 1967 . After 3 decades of socialism today it stands somewhere in the last 5 . Enterpreneurs have been portrayed as blood thirsty people and were the condemned class . If an enterpreneur wants to create a profit making self-sustaining company he was considered selfish money-minded and ethical . And all those people who would just talk and do nothing are the ethical unselfish good intentioned people .Today west bengal has an unsustainable debt of 2 lakh crores .Who should be blamed for the deindustrialization of west bengal ?

Even in empirical terms the capital put at the disposal of enterpreneurs created more jobs and contributed to the state in the form of taxes but the capital at the disposal of state has become a drag on the state consuming huge amounts of tax payers money which could be utilized for addressing the real issues . The enterpreneurs create wealth not just for themselves but for the people all around them , they create jobs and sustainable economic structures .Today we have the muscle to deal with our problems . Our country did not have the resources to deal with our problems before 1990 . Had we continued with that socialism we might have become a bankrupt and failed country by now . So now the question is why are we a poor country despite having 20 years of free enterprise . The first and the foremost reason for that question is governance . The government has got it's priorities wrong , instead of concentrating on Infrastructure , Healthcare and education it has used the new found revenues to splurge no more useless social spending in the form of freebies . The huge economic problems of our country the unprecedented inflation is a direct consequence of the poor management of public finances by the government and unprecedented scale of corruption and plunder by the congress politicians . We are surviving as a country despite poor governance and high corruption only because we were gifted free enterprise by P.V Narisimha Rao . Without those reforms i dont know what might have happened to this country . P.V Narisimha rao is India's Abraham Lincoln . Hail the leader , Jai Hind !!!!!

The justification for ruthlessness against Maoists

It has come to a point where the government needs to explain the political , military and the philosophical reasons behind our ruthless action against maoists . We have lot of problems in this country , we have political corruption , we have bureaucratic corruption any kind of political , social and economic evil you would like to mention , we have that in one or the other form . we cannot refuse that the government has committed injustice to several sections of the society but we will push this country into an irrecoverable abyss if we start listening to those people who support armed insurgencies against the democratically elected government .

This country has grave problems in every sphere . Pandit jawaharlal Nehru took this country on a socialistic path with mighty good intentions . He was incorruptible and he believed in economic equality and he laid the foundation of socialism in this country . Enterpreneurs are prevented from freely conducting business in various areas and the justification given by the then Nehruvian school was that if people are allowed to do business they will accumulate wealth and the rich-poor gap will increase .This was the sole reason behind Nehruvian socialism and Indira gandhi's license raj . They wanted equality and after 44 years of socialism this country was brought to the verge of bankruptcy . Did we not do in this country what the maoists advocate for the first 44 years of our national life . what is it that the maoists advocate anything different from what Nehru and Indira Gandhi did ? The entire left in this country is virutlently opposed against capitalism and free enterprise which really took off only after 1991 reforms . Every problem we face in this country whether it is poverty , discrimination , or other human development problems , these leftists blame the reforms which they scornfully call neo-liberal reforms .

Communism and the form of economic and political systems that the maoists advocate have failed everywhere in the world . Indian Maoists want to repeat the whole story that Russia went through . Millions of people were killed in Russia by Vladmir lenin and Joseph stalin . Every where in the world where communists have taken over through force they have killed millions of their own people to create an utopian system and Indian maoists are hell bent in recreating that disaster in India . I would like to ask those supporters of maoist movement in this country , are the maoists fighting for specific injustices committed by the state or are they fighting against the very democracy of this country trying to create a maoist style communism ? What are they trying to do exactly ? Does the sympathizers of the maoist cause even know what their are ambitions are ?

Everytime a maoist dies human right organizations and leftist organizations raise a hue and cry . Some of them argue that we should negotiate with maoists and some of them argue that we should defeat maoists by bringing development to those places which are being commanded by the maoists . We want to develop the tribal areas and all those deprived areas but the maoist does not allow indian governement's administration to enter their sphere of influence . They routinely kidnap officers holding them for ransom and henceforth scare the government employees from working in the maoist areas . It has virtually become impossible to convince officers to go into maoist infested zones , how can we bring development in those areas if the maoists talk to us with a gun pointed at our heads . And there are a few who argue that the whole maoist movement in this country has emerged as a result of government's injustice in the tribal areas . But tribal cause is just a smoke screen for the maoists to pursue a higher political goal and they dont give a dime for tribals .Tribals are their cannon fodder easily gulliable and also an efficient political tool behind whom they can hide to pursue a larger political agenda .And the larger political agenda is to decimate the Indian state , convert into a communist bastion and smash democracy in this country and replace it with dictatorship .

There have been calls all around to stop this armed action against naxals .They say that this violence should stop . But they dont realize that violence can't be stopped by unilateral withdrawal by the Indian government . Maoists have killed 10000 people in the last 10 years and more than 50000 in the last 50 years of Maoist insurgency , the violence will be perpetuated by maoists whether we take action against them are not and if they are not encountered today we will not be in a position to deal with them in the future . Maoists are not going to sit quiet if stop taking action them they will keep pursuing their goals and the goal is to decimate democracy in this country .

We cannot allow this to happen and we have to deal with maoists now and in a headon manner if we have to end the menace of naxalism in this country . All the steps that the government reversed recently in those forests were not because of naxals , they happened because of democratic movements . Democratic movements have found a fiercely effective voice in the media . The Anna hazare movement was non-violent and all it did was motivate people to voice against the government , voice against corruption and the government is shaken .They are running to assuage the public anger trying to create an institution to satisfy the people of this country . Whether it is the several reverses suffered by mining companies are unlawful and unethical land acquisition by the government's we have seen government obliging to do democratic movements . Why is there a necessity for armed movement in a democratic country ? If an armed insurgency is a necessity and is supported by all those people can they tell me what is that was constructively achieved by the naxals in the last 50 years . Did the government reverse any of it's decision because of maoists , were the maoists able to stop any government from pursuing what they want ? It was not the maoists that forced the government to reverse some of the unsavoury decision it is the peaceful democratic political movements that forced the governments to reverse decisions .

Indian government should suspend all efforts to talk with maoists untill they are militarily decimated .We can talk to them when they are militarily incapicitated but untill then we should follow a ruthless military policy against the naxals ..

China could do a kargil on India , warns IDSA

2011 is not 1962 and i dont think India will ever go for a negotiated settlement if at all the Chinese makes such an adventure . India will push the chinese back the way they did in 1999 against pakistan . Chinese were engaged in a short war against Vietnam 'to teach them a lesson' , vietnamese fought back and India is no vietnam . It is very unlikely that the chinese would do something like that neverthless we should be prepared for every eventuality and make all the necessary strategic countermoves .

Some of the strategic countermoves that India made recently were the ones in south china sea . This move by India into south china sea and it's aggressive pursuit of defence and strategic relationships with the chinese enemies in the hemisphere have rankled the chinese and they have been using some psy-war techniques to ward off India . India has not cowed down so far , we haven't retaliated to the chinese snub of Visas but we have made some less conspicuous strategic moves by engaging into strategic relationships with Vietnam , Japan and various other east Asian countries that have issues with the chinese hegemoney . We are also cooperating more aggressively with the U.S through various defence pacts .

while i dont think that the chinese will involve in such an adventure , we should be prepared for any eventuality as we had a strategic collision with the chinese and we cannot underestimate their reaction to such countermoves by India . But it will be extremenly foolish of China to do any such adventure ...

When i was 27 years old and a firm believer in capitalism i have opined that communists can never become intellectually honest to accept the fact that their ideology is a lost cause and has been summarily drubbed in every corner of the world . My opinion about communists has been reaffirmed by Tarun Tejpal the other day when i read his interview in Firstpost .

Karl Marx has proposed a whole new theory to analyse the nature of capital and proposed solutions to wipe out human suffering . His followers called it Marxism . He advocated armed insurgency and suggested his followers replace any form of government with Proletariat dictatorship . He suggested that government leave nothing for private ownership and government own all forms of capital and treat all forms of labour , intellectual or physical as the same and hence forth they receive the same salary . This form of marxism was first implemented in Russia by communist party of Russia headed by Vladmir Lenin . Vladmir lenin and his successor Joesph Stalin killed millions of people who owned property and refused to surrender that to state . They created an equal society except that the society was equal and equally poor . Communism has achieved unprecedented proportions barbarism under Chairman Mao in China when the Communist party of China killed millions of their own people in the name of cultural revolution . This is the prime feature of communist regimes all across the world , they killed millions of their own people to create equality and failed miserably to do so .

All across the socialist media , there is an obsession for equality . They beat their chests about the increasing rich-poor gap . U.S has the highest rich-poor gap but if the living standards of the people is looked at it is probably the highest in the world . I would rather be poor in an unequal and prosperous society like U.S where the living standards are far higher than a socialistc society where everybody is equal and poor . Socialists believe in curatiling free-enterprise they want controls on everything that could probably increase the rich-poor gap . If the so called levers of economy should be taken away from the enterpreneurs and businessman they have to be taken over by the government , which has already been done in the name of Marxism and the results are there for all of us to see . The answer to poverty alleviation in this country is more of market driven economics .

Why the Unionists of AP Oppose Telangana ?

I have felt that it is necessary to present to you the comprehensive argument from the side of unionists about the ongoing Telangana issue . There is an intense passion in the people of coastal Andhra , Rayalaseema and Hyderabadi regions against any proposed division of the state of AndhraPradesh . No other statehood movement has faced such steadfast and passionate opposition more than the one in Andhrapradesh . The reasons for such passion are economical , political and social . I hope i will reason out to you the outstanding points of concern of the unionists in the state of Andhra Pradesh .

1.Water problems . The most important problem that will arise if at all there is a division of the state is the problem of water . We the people of Andhra Pradesh have water conflicts with the states of Karnataka and Maharastra and we have been seeing pitched battles with both these states in the courts as well as on the ground . Some of those agitations have even become violent . There are very strong and valid fears in the minds of seemandhra people that the division would worsen those water problems and will plug the possibilities of the new solutions that are being deliberated to solve the water problems of the arid regions of Rayalaseema region . There are 5 major ambitious projects flagged by the Andhra Pradesh government to comprehensively solve our irrigation and drinking water problems that are spread across the state of Andhra pradesh all of which are located in Telangana . Thought they are located in Telangana the water is meant to be distributed to all the regions of Andhrapradesh , over 50% of the irrigation projects taken up are to benefit Telangana . The division of Telangana will bring those ambitious projects to a screaming halt jeopardizing the agricultural progress of the state and creating all sort of problems .The biggest loser will be the four southern arid districts of Andhrapradesh called Rayalaseema .These are the most backward districts which are hoping to improve their living standards if they get water .Their dreams will be quashed permanently . There is already an opposition from Telangana politicians against these projects .They repeatedly invoke regional feelings against these projects and try to stifle them through various means , the problem will get worser if a division ever happens .

2.Hyderabad . Hyderabad is another bone of contention . More than 50% of the budget comes from Hyderabad and hugely contributes for the infrastructural and social spending of the state in all the three regions . More than 60% of Hyderabadis are migrants from Seemandhra region and they are steadfastedly opposed to the division . If the revenue from Hyderabad goes then all the developmental work that has been taken up in Seemandhra region will have to be brought to a halt . There is immense contribution made to Hyderabad by Seemandhra and they feel it is abhorrent of anybody to ask for division after they put their blood and flesh to build Hyderabad for all these years .The seemandhra people in Hyderabad are steadfastedly opposed to any division as they fear their security . The previous agitation of 1969 has been violently anti-Andhra where Andhra people were subjected to regional persecution , even though the Telangana activists dont make any such fervent anti-Andhra people statements they occasionally show those traits and there is a good chance that politics will turn against the residing Andhra people jeopardising their property and rights . They also fear persecution .

3.Internal security . Telangana was a hotbed of Naxalism before it was uprooted by AP goverment . The entire leadership of Maoist movement in this country is composed of Andhra people and all of them are from Telangana . They are just waiting for a chance to get back to their previous bastions . Telangana will not be able to deal with the onslaught of Naxalism if a division ever happens and it is widely feared that Telangana will suffer the same fate as Chattisgarh and Jharkhand after division . One close observation will conclude that chattisgarh and Jharkhand have suffered the Naxal problem more intensely after being divided from the mother states . If those worst fears come true all that development that was achieved in Telangana will be jeopardized .

4.Telugu Pride . The emotional reason behind such passionate and stead fasted opposition to the division comes from the immense pride Telugu people have of their culture and progress .The state of Andhra pradesh was formed after the legendary Potti sree Ramulu fasted to death , this was a state formed with the blood of great freedom fighters as they believed in the uniqueness in telugu culture . The very idea of dividing the state will be betraying the hopes and dreams of those great iconic individuals . We the telugu people dont want to be dwarfed with little national importance fighting among ourselves for resources . We are an economic powerhouse with enterpreneurship all over our culture and we shall not see our importance , pride and contribution diminished .

5.Widely exaggerated telangana sentiment . The sentiment of divisivness is widely exaggerated by rabble rousing parties like Telangana . Their claims of discrimination is classic hyperbole and all those claims of discrimination has been factually quashed by the srikrishna commitee which has been formed to study this problem . The TRS which has only Telangana as it's political agenda did not even contest the municipal elections of Hyderabad as it feared that it would be an irrelevant force their . So the capital city that telangana politicians claim to be theirs , they dont have the courage to face the people of Hyderabad as they fear that they would be categorically rejected . There are many telangana districts like Khamman and Rangareddy district who are not for the division but end up being suppressed by the more vociferous and rabble rousing pro-telangana activists .

The division of Andhra pradesh cannot happen without building consensus . It is very difficult to build consensus among conflicting parties , i readily agree . If the government at the centre tries to force divide the state of Andhra pradesh you will have a human catastrophe following that reckless and undemocratic action .

How do you feel when a person who can write really well puts his talents at the disposal of socialism ? I have my blood gushing moment . I had one today when i read Tarun Tejpal's interview in firstpost . The whole essence of the interview is that " the rich and middle class are responsible for the poverty in this country as they hold the levers of privilege and the middle class is unintrospective and have double stadards " . This fierce opinions are basically a derivative of the communist education that Mr Tejpal had . I feel his opinions about the middle class and the rich and his outlook towards economy highly repugnant and self-indulgent . Here are my reasons .

Mr Tejpal is a preson who adores Jawaharlal Nehru . He strongly believes that the policies of the governement that spawned free enterprise in this country after 1991 created a whole new middle class and strenghtened the rich and both these classes are consuming the resources of this country . He believes in distribution and not in earning the wealth and he is an advocate of economic equality .Mr Tejpal would serve this country better if he look at the economic policies that were germinated by Mr Nehru and championed by Miss Indira Gandhi . Mr Nehru with all his good intentions has laid the foundations of socialism in this country . Every sector of economy was invested into by the government and there was very less space for private enterpreneurs to play . This was basically done inorder to ensure that different classes of people are not created by allowing enterpreneurs to create wealth .Nehru and his daughter did everything possible to clip the wings of enterpreneurs . As a result the country did not see a decrease in poverty . we were basically seeing an entitlement based economy instead of a real economy . And by 1991 India after it's 44 years of romance with socialism came to the verge of bankruptcy .Mr Tarun Tejpal should explain to use why poverty was not eliminated in those 44 years of socialism . The so called levers that are being held by the middle class and the rich were held by the government , so why were we not able to wipe out poverty and why did we not have a well educated society despite levers being in the hands of the government .

Mr P.V Narisimharao saved this country with deft political manavouring and doing all those reforms necessary to inginite enterpreneurship in this country . It is absolutely true that we have witnessed monumental proportions of corruption in the recent past and we also have numerous political economic and social problems in this country . But to accuse the middle class and the rich for the poverty and the various economic problems and the various injustices that were carried out in this country is intellectual dishonest .If you have the courage accuse the congress party for not being able to direct the resources at their disposal to solve the problems by creating first rate infrastructure and for indulging in unprecedented corruption . Instead of blaming the main political party and the family that is responisble for the deplorable state of our people you chose to attack the middle class and the rich , it's terribly dishonest . This country will definitely come out of the poverty it suffers today and that can happen only if we marshal our resources to build first rate infrastructure to facilitate real economy . Gujarat is a great example where political leadership with it's shear will has fought so many economic ills .It is possible to do the same in the entire country if we chose to adopt more of capitalism instead of moving back to socialism . This country's leadership will do a great deal to it's people if it disinvests from every direct economic enterprise that it hold's a stake in and concentrate on it's fundamental responsibilities like building infrastructure , create health care systems and educ ation systems and providing dynamic frameworks for administration . We do not have to take care of the people we only have to create real economy people will take care of themselves ....

Supreme courts SPO order .

Siddharth Varadarajan has joyously tweeted an article hailing the supreme court's order banning special police officers in chattisgarh . The Hindu news paper being the leftiest of the countries newspapers is quite good at articulating it's feelings . The article tweeted by Siddharth Varadarajan is dated July 13th and it's author is Madhav Khosla . This piece is my counter-point .The sentences in quotations are from the article .

"The Court travelled considerable distance to attack the State's ‘amoral' economic policies and the “culture of unrestrained selfishness and greed spawned by modern neo-liberal economic ideology." The amoral or neo-liberal economic policies is an euphemism for the free-enterprise based economy that this country has been spawning ever since 1991 . Prior to that we were a socialistic country and we followed socialistic policies for 43 years . Socialistic policies as all those leftists know are supposed to bring an equal society but for some unknown reason those policies have brought this country to the verge of bankruptcy . In 1991 India had to mortage it's gold for a loan for Rs 500 crores . The story of socialism is no different anywhere else in the world for us to believe that we have got it wrong , everywhere in the world socialism have failed to uplift people out of poverty and infact worsened their economic situtation .The enterpreneurs and business man who creates job , organize the means of production and extract efficiency out of it are the so called selfish people and all those leftist punks who only keep talking about equality but have never done anything so far are philanthropic . In those days of licence raj when government had monopoly the psu's suffered losses and had to be closed down ,, please dont laugh , can you believe a company suffering losses when it is the only one to operate in that space . Indian PSU's gulped valuale tax payers money before they were closed down .Neither socialism nor the supreme court could explain that . But we capitalists can , it takes the animal instincts of an enterpreneur to build , sustain and redefine an enterprise and there is that one man who at the helm affairs is in line if he fails to deliver and the responsibility that individual urge to deliver , build and create is what creates real economy . The spirit of competition ensures that consumers get a fair deal .

"Thousands of tribal youth were being appointed by the State as SPOs, and allegedly being called to battle" .What's wrong if the state uses a flexible policing approach ?The state government has very properly recruited locals for intelligence gathering and also inorder to ensure that tribals are not forced to join the maoists against their wishes they are being armed to thwart maoist terror . It is so naive of supreme court to believe that poorly trained SPO's are being used in the battle .Indian security forces are quite huge in number and the state does not need to do such things . But it is very likely that SPO's might be accompanying the forces to provide guidance and their life definitely is in danger but this is being done voluntarily by the SPO and i tend to believe that he is doing out of his belief in our democracy over maoist ideology .SPO's are invaluable in intelligence gatheric and providing information and they are paid money because it acts as an inceptive , invoking article 14 of equal oppurtunity is outrageous .Those are temporary jobs and the executive should have the right to objectively pick people for the jobs .This battle against the guerillas cannot be fought without the help of locals and it is obvious that locals will have to face the wrath of maoists and it is very appropriate to arm them .In case the SC disagrees SC should suggest innovative ways of protecting informers who are routinely killed by maoists .

The court means to say that you need a degree to realize that your life is in danger .The is the gem of the entire judgement ,, no comments needed .

The court invokes the article 21 , the right to life of SPO's . The chattisgarh government has argued that SPO's are not being used for combat operations , if at all it is found by the court that SPO's are being used for combat operations then the SC should have set guidelines for their training instead of summarily ordering to disband the SPO group . I am not in a position to clearly say if chattisgarh used SPO's for combat operations but i strongly believe that SPO's are mainly used for intelligence ,guidance of local terrain . It is necessary to arm them as they will inevitably come under the thumb of maoist forces if they cannot defend themselves .Arming a group of people to ensure the communities protection is a legitimate and a completely objective approach in a conflict zone .It might be true that salwa judum might have indulged in some excesses , it is the state's responsibility to prevent those excesses and to appropriately bring those salwa judum cadres involved in such crimes to book .The army and even the legitimate forces in this country are found to have committed excesses , we dont disband them for some people's mistakes we rectify those mistakes .Disbanding a well functioning organization which works in the interest of state for some operational inappropriatness is in least a lack of nuance and in worst an ideologically driven judgement .

The story of media and two great politicians

Here i intend to compare two politicians who have two different ways of dealing with hostile media . Mr Y.S.R suffered a deluge of criticism both at personal and professional level from a couple of newspapers , so he decided to discredit them by calling them newspapers of opposition parties subtley suggesting that they are on the payrolls of a political party or the beneficiary of it’s policies . In addition to this he exhumed all their ‘crimes’ and started using them to arm-twist the media baron .This way he has been reasonably successful at discrediting them but also had to endure the blame of arm-twisting the media which is very offensive in a democracy like ours .While his ability to discredit the rival media organizations has it’s own lessons it is to be understood that his attempts to arm-twist the media baron has caused him serious embarassment as the entire journalistic fraternity has united against him portraying him as a villain and demon crushing the free-speech rights of the people . This has gathered momentum and fetched the media baron some sympathy in the eyes of neutral people .

Criticizing the media in an objective manner helps oneself in discrediting the media of opposition party but at the same time one should understand that such media barons do not have any fixed loyalties as long as they dont have personal grieviances .If the media targets you it is very helpful even though the coverage is negative , like it happened with MR Narendra Modi . But the whole volley of hate campaign can be turned on it’s head only if the person is honest and hardworking for his people .This is exactly what happened with N.M ..He turned the entire emotion on it’s head by consistently performing good work .Infact the best way of dealing with media is the Narendra Modi way . His way is to gauge it but not get unnerved or worked up about the lies that were spread of him ..He knew that his good work will turn the whole monster on it’s head and Narendra Modi has become a Monster for those media groups to deal now .The more they deride him the more it’s viewers get attracted to N.M , this is ironical but is true .Please check out the polls on IBN for various candidates for P.M and you will end up seeing more votes for N.M . .So this means people are not going to buy motivated propaganda for too much time , one should keep doing their work honestly and he will get his due . Inaddition to that in the midst of the whole hate campaign that national news channels it so happens that they have to praise a word or two about the good work and that will translate into huge credibility for the politician becos if a person who trashes everyday comes out and say something good about you then that has more credibility than running 24 hours eulogy programmes owned by politicians .But one should be accessible to media without any personal animosities and better to beat them on their own courts by answering their questions aptly . Blacking out media channels is counter-productive .The best way to prove your political prowess is to go for a boiling interview on rival media platforms . This shows courage more than anything else and one can annihilate the media group on their own platform with effective and reasonable arguments .

The most important lesson from my policy towards media is that never should one pick up a personal grudge against a media group . One should appreciate that the entire process is due to ones political existence and politics is something that should be viewed with ice cold unpersonal eyes .Reason is the most powerful way of connecting to ones people ..

The Telangana Riddle ...........

Lying on my bed , i am melancholic about the state of affairs in Andhra pradesh ..I am taking a deep look at the tactics adopted by TRS , it's possible impact on the congress party at the centre .I shall unravel the parameters of the whole political equation in that riddle .

Looking at the mood of the congress party at the centre there are good reasons to believe that they have developed cold feet over telangana . All the claims of economic injustice have been proven wrong by Srikrishna Report , this leaves congress party at only one argument . Should we divide the state because people of Telangana desires so ? The capital city Hyderabad and Ranga reddy district together consitute 25% of Telangana constituencies . These places have never voted for TRS and never will vote to them obviously due to the economic factors around Hyderabad . There is wide spread fear that there would be a flight of capital from Hyderabad. The fact that TDP lost so miserably in 2009 elections in Hyderabad-Rangareddy region was attributed to this pro-telangana stance .TRS did not even put up candidates in the greater hyderabad municipal elections as they were very sure that they would not win a single corporator .After 2009 election when TDP broke off from TRS it won as many seats as the ruling congress itself . So should the state be divided and Hyderabad be handed over to Telanagana even if the people of Hyderabad dont want it .They would not speak out openly though . Andhra Politicians were not smart enough to rally opinion in Hyderabad . The division of state is also feared to trigger similar demands across the country . Governor Narasimhan has reportedly adviced against the division as Telangana could become a hot bed of naxalism in future .

The other three districts of southern Telangana Mahabubnagar , Khammam and Nalgonda are the bastions of TDP and Congress respectively . TRS will not win a single seat in those districts despite all the rabble rousing pyrotechnics . So the whole movement is concentrated in the Northern Telangana . Northern Telangana constitutes of Adilabad , Nizamabad , Karimnagar , Medak and Warangal . These districts form the core of the movement and are significantly to go the TRS way .One could get a measure of the movement in the 2011 AP local elections .very clearly .

The congress party will inevitably calculate its political costs and in a divided state it will only be trounced . If at all a division happens the political space in the Andhra region shrinks and will be occupied by charismatic leaders like Chandrababu Naidu and Jagan wiping the congress out of Andhra completely ..Andhra is a state driven by leaders , not by parties . Without a leader Congress can go nowhere and people will not forgive the congress leadership if it chooses to force-divide the state ..It will be a huge psycological blow for the people in Andhra region which has more than 2/3's of assembly seats and they will erupt and the congress party will have to face an unbelievable crisis if such a decision is taken .. Politically it means congress will be wiped of Andhra . In Telangana region TRS will take credit for this entire fiasco and congress will lose there as well .The worst fears of congress about BJP will become true there . All in all that would be one nightmare for congress party to see itself decimated in AP which is it's bastion .

The riddle of Telanga does not end there .. Even if Andhra legislators agree for the division then the real problems will arise . The fight is about three major things 1. Hyderabad 2.Water sharing 3.The psycological blow of becoming a dwarf state . The residents of Hyderabad which ever region they belong to are against division , TRS knows this fact and that is why they dont contest local elections in Hyderabad .In the divided state Andhra people will feel insecure as they will become objects of political dispensation if division ever happens . It will be far more nightmarish for the congress party to build consensus around division of the state . Forced division will be the death knell for congress party . Andhra pradesh is a volcano right now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While the party chief does a good job of bringing himself and his reputation in to the discussion when asked about many non-issues which do not even deserve a discussion on a national news channel, Burkha Dutt limits the questions to rumors, media's (and her) wrongly perceived image of 'a party that's fallen and on its way out', media's obsession to the crown prince-bar-no-achievements 'baba'.

Its high time media recognizes the importance of the presence of such a party as the BJP in Indian politics and concentrate their efforts on questioning the party on policy issues vis-a-vis economic policy, agriculture, infrastructure, taxation etc on which the party has not yet made clear its alternative policy although, for the record, it opposes the policies of the Congress.

Why do i disagree with Women's reservation bill ?

I happen to be on the side of the guys whom i hate the most .. I am with Lalu yadav and Mulayam singh yadav on the women's bill. Women's reservation bill is by and large the most significant infringement on Indian Democracy . Well i am obliged to reason out my opposition before calling names .

Sonia Gandhi , Sushma Swaraj , Mayawati , Jayalalitha , Mamta Banerjee and Vasundhara Raje all of them are powerful names in Indian politics .And these women are made of metal . Was there a single moment in the parliament where a bill to empower women socially and economically and legally been blocked in the parliament despite the house being filled mostly with men . If something significant or even trivial bill relating to women is not blocked then why does women feel deprived politically in this country . How many times have the above mentioned women raised and dealt with Women issues in parliament ? If the most powerful position of every major party in this country is occupied by women then what kind of political deprivation are the women suffering .By and large what does more women in the parliament mean to the women at large in this country ? Nothing ! Political empowrement is a romantic clause .Without really questioning what it really means to the women at large there has been a blind rush to make a significant breakthrough in empowering women .

What about the good politicians who work in a consitutency for years and wait for a chance to represent their people not get a chance ?What is the quality of the women politician that go to a parliament through reservation ? We need independent tough women and they are made only if they struggle through the system and the dirt . How can there be so many powerful names in the list of women politicians if our system is regressive towards women ? Our country has lot of prejudice against women . Those are our intricate social problems that are a result of centuries of illiteracy and historical baggage which we are successfully fighting now . Those pro's dont argue that prejudice towards women will end , it's such a laughable argument that women will get better treatment in the society with more women in parliament .The fight for gender equality is a slow evolutionary process ,shaking up a reasonable political system assuming that such a shakeup could change the state of Indian women is the gravest of naivety .I disagree I disagree I disagree with this bill .

BJP and the path to 2014

Elections, local, state or central, it seems are now looked at as casual affairs by the party. I would be very surprised to know that anybody in the party's central brass is disappointed at the results.

We know that Rajnath Singh's tenure is coming to an end in a few months. ( Remorseless being that he is, he was expecting to get a renewal of license to further damage the party. Thankfully the RSS has stepped in.)

Before we talk more about the leadership change I think it deserves mention here that party policy forbids an individual from holding two positions at the same time.

It also deserves mention that the RSS, which is being more assertive on party affairs these days, is more vocal about its aversion to politics driven around personalities. Its belief that the situation the party finds itself in currently is a result of personality driven politics is not going to help further larger cause.

The party should not try to please the RSS when it tries to address the leadership issue.

That it is Narendra Modi who can bring the party back into form is an incontestable truth. But how eager the party is to accept this fact and to expedite the process of anointing him the chief is to be seen.

A look at the issue from the 'BJP & Gujarat' perspective:

Is Modi ready to takeover immediately?
Is the PARTY ready to shift Modi from Gujarat to Delhi considering the fact that Gujarat goes for elections in 2012? Its going to be looked at as a gamble. Is the party willing to go into the elections without Modi being the CM candidate? It has to if it wants to put national affairs ahead of anything else.
What if the party choses to wait until after those elections, which would be around the same time when the new president's tenure comes to an end? Party might want to take Modi off Gujarat after winning it. I dread this possibility. Truth is, it would lose precious time and will never be able to recover. BJP needs this time badly not just to instill confidence into and reinvigorate the strength of its cadres but also to reach out to possible allies in crucial states. To approach these issues casually is to concede defeat this early.

Once the party decides in a sure manner which way it wants to go it can then face the task of convincing the RSS. The RSS may be trying to play the big brother but that is only because BJP is being erratic and dysfunctional. Once the critical issue of leadership is resolved, putting its agenda across the table to the RSS, with Modi in the driving seat, is a battle half won with the RSS.

The RSS on its part has to chose between understanding the realities on ground and taking to principled positions. Its aversion to personalities is a cause that helps neither the BJP nor the nation. India as a nation is still too young and not discerned enough for the kind of polity the RSS wants to prescribe. There is no harm dreaming for it and trying to work towards creating a more mature political space in the country. Those changes if and when they happen would certainly do a lot more good but it has to be a bottom-up approach starting with block level units of the party.

It is a process that has to run parallel to the running of the country, something the BJP could hardly afford losing focus on trying to do, and cannot be done by pulling all the stops on everything else. The sooner the RSS appreciates this fact the better it is for the party.

The Chinese threat ...

After the recent visit to Arunachal pradesh by the prime minister China has 'demanded' that the PM not provoke them by making such tours . Dalai Lama's visit to Tawang late this year will be another TV time for me . Chinese were not 'demanding' such things so aggressively and so openly in the past . The recent chinese incursions into Indian territory and in some instances painting the rocks in the region 'red' had infuriated the media . There rose a typhoon of 'chinese threat' , confusing and terrifying ordinary citizens .

So for all those people who rants about the possibility of china attacking India before 2012 they would have tell us what political objective does the chinese have to wage a war against India ? The terriotarial claims of the chinese are vacuous . Tawang and Arunachal pradesh were supposed to be a part of Tibetan empire some where in history , and so everything Tibetan is Chinese , they claim .Tibet itself was forcefully occupied by Chinese . The question is will China wage a war and create an international crisis by waging a war for a piece of land that was never theirs . The people of Arunachal pradesh are completely Indian , they have accepted the Indian democracy so fondly that 70% of people turned out for the recent election . So why does the chinese achieve through such ranting ? Bargaining chips in the ongoing negotiations and pressure on India to stop any anti-chinese alliances in south-east asia and across pacific and Indian ocean with US , Japan , Australia and south eastern countries . It's a message that Chinese would raise the stakes for India in the region if it dares to have strategic relationships with it's ideological enemies . India might not have 60 submarines and chinese airforce could be 3 times the Indians but if India has a strategic military cooperation with US and Japan that would catapult it's defence preparedness and would nullify chinese military superiority .The border incursions , aggressive cooperation with south-eastern countries and Arunachal pradesh is a simple book tactic by the chinese .

Having said that i am for completely modernising and augmenting India's military strength proportional to it's threat and not rely on it's 'allies' . We have to engage with China economically and culturally to raise the stakes for both the countries if China decides on something crazy . If China ever wages a war against India then it's image will take a severe beating in the world and the entire free world will turn against china . Even without any of those allies India can inflict unacceptable damage to chinese economy by blocking out Indian ocean . Chinese did not build those beautiful cities only to be destroyed in a nuclear for a piece of land called Arunachal pradesh that was never theirs .while we shouldn't get into the business of predicting we shouldn't be unnerved by Chinese pressure tactics . We should pursue our strategic relationships with US and Japan in the region , increase our co-operation both militarily and economically with south eastern coutries which have conflicts with China like Vietnam , Indonesis , Malaysia and Singapore . We shall move in silence towards conflict resolution with China by engaging with them through more trade and cultural exchange .

The Indian state is at war . We are faced with war against naxals a war which we have to fight to decimate the communist insurgency . For years there has been a debate on the strategy that the Indian governement needs to adopt . Naxals were seen as victims of state insensitivity and not as a motivated and organized communist movement . As a result the government has always been consumed by morality and refused to take sweeping actions against naxals . Not even when their own statistics say that 1000 people are killed in naxal violence every year . Police man walked into those remote police stations only to be ambushed by a superior numbered naxal force , people were kidnapped murdered and in extreme cases of brutality even were beheaded , but the human right activists argue about the governments insensitivity to peoples problems and the naxals fame with the tribals . The human right organization is taken over by communists who believe that the problems of this country can be solved by communists autocracy .

In the last 5 years approximately 3500 innocent law abiding citizens of this country have been eliminated by naxals . A lot many were injured by naxal attacks . No body can dispute the fact that politicians could have done more to alleviate the problems of this country but it should be well acknowledged that this country's problems are huge and despite the best political effort there are going to people suffering from poverty . Of all the political systems tried in the history democracy is considered to be the best system . Democracy offers the country to change it's leadership peacefully which is denied in anyother autocractic systems . There is no place for violent armed struggles in a democratic system . This country needs more enterprise , more freedom and more democracy to move forward . As a country we should re-structure and re create our institutions to solve our problems . Violent armed struggles in a political system where there is genuine possibility to echo and manifest your political views is criminal . Naxals have committed those crimes for 4 decades now . They simply dont realise how big and powerful Indian state is and how much the democracy has been accepted by it's people .

This struggle is not about land struggles are government insensitivity to tribals and poor people .This is an ideological war and human right activists and intellectuals who are communists themselves wear this mask of activsts criticizing the government and protecting the insurgents from civilian anger . The Human right activists and left leaning intellectuals are valuable propaganda elements . Abraham Lincoln has declared a war against his own people . Your own people might adopt and cultivate and idea which would decimate the state , leaders should realize that not all problems could be solved by persuasion and absolute use of force is a necessary evil . It is necessary to decimate the naxal movement primarily to enhance the internal security of the country and to demonstrate to all Indians that a group of people cannot take weapons and threaten the very democracy of this country .Operation "Green hunt" will exactly do that .

At the heights of Vietnam war when 500 American marines were dying every week , Richard Nixon has authorized Kissinger to talk to Vietnamese . That is a situation of collateral damage and perfectly understandable if you intend to talk to your enemy .But this is a case of terrorism . Pakistan has used terrorism as a bargaining tool and we all admit pakistan has achieved something out of it , atleast Indians were talking about 'options' .

Pakistan having realized this fully will keep the terrorism card open unless it gets a favourable terms on Kashmir . First they intend to get autonomy for Kashmir after that they will foment another political struggle to actually favour a merger with Pakistan . It will only complicate matters for India if India accepts any of the proposals linking Kashmir .

Terrorism should not be traded with concessions on Kashmir , it would be naive of India to believe that Pakistan will give up terrorism if some concessions were to be given on Kashmir .Pakistan has 1971 to avenge and will believe terrorism works if India gives concessions on Kashmir .

To give a death blow to Pakistan claims India should completely integrate Kashmir abolishing the special status Kashmir has today .India talking means offering concessions on Kashmir . This is frighteningly naive . Pakistan will reward concession on Kashmir with more terrorism . India should carry out hot pursuit , international pressure and internal sabotage . India should threaten pakistan of same treatment forcing pakistan to understand the vanity of it's terror policy .

Who should take more credit for Indian freedom ? Should it be Gandhi or Adolf Hitler ?

Adolf Hitler , the everest of human wickedness has a contribution to India . It is still unbelievable to me that one man could create so much destruction in the world . The gory incidents of world war are petrifying and we all pray that never this world should ever give birth to such a man again . Although his actions were cruel he unintentionally freed so many people across the world .

What was the status of Indian Independence moment in 1939 ? Britain being the strongest country of the world enslaved it and treated it's subjects brutally . The pre-ww2 was a different order . It was not wrong to suppress and humiliate the populace of another country , It was not inhuman to occupy others lands and brutally deny the aborigines their rights and even deny them their self-respect . It was not criminal to exploit the natives for the larger ambitions of the empire . It wasn't criminal to attack peaceful protests and send those people fighting for Independence to gallows . Bhagat singh , Sukh dev , Raj guru , Ras behari bose , Kartar singh , Ram prasad Bismil , Balwant singh none of these revolutionaries ever seen their 25th birthday .
Scores of Innocent people regularly terrorised to subject it's populace to fear . Their lands seized at the slightest protest and communal tensions incited to 'divide and rule' . The order of the world in 1939 was different . The order was whatever Britain thought it to be .

Even the now powerful America advocating against expansion and colonisation could weild little pressure on the mighty British . Then came the Nazis ,lead by a brutal dictator unleashed a war against every nation in Europe . Britain , France and other european countries that have colonized the entire world have been torn apart and unleashed a hope for the freedom fighters in India and else where in the world . Britain could not sustain empire anymore . Having been cut down to size they were forced to yield to the movements in the world . Even in 1945 Winston churchill made frentic efforts to keep the empire intact . It was not to be . The empire crumbled under it's own weight, as the struts were brutally cut down by Adolf Hitler . I thank those brave men for stopping Adolf hitler . But the question remains ....

This isn't an unusual title i suppose . It's political matter when BJP leader praise Jinnah . Some of the top BJP leaders called him secular , complex and a layered personality . Jaswant held both Patil and Nehru equally responsible for the division of the country . Patil and Nehru were prisoners of unimaginable situations . Not even the immediate generation could really figure out the complex political situation that Patil and Nehru lived in .

Mohammed Ali Jinnah demanded a special arrangement where muslims will be ruled by a Muslim political party . When that was inconceivable he raised the stakes and streamlined the muslim insecurity , organized them into barbaric militant outfit and unleashed them on innocent hindus to create pressure on the government and to gain vital bargaining chips during negotitions . What Jinnah talked in 1911 or subsequently advocating secularism was not to be history , the history was to be the carnage , the unimaginable violence and the wounds that would not heel after half a century . The history would see for the man who could show leadership to make that happen . It was to be Mohammed Ali Jinnah . Exculpating Jinnah from the blame is naive of our leaders . Jinnah's only parallel in this world was Adolf Hitler , nobody else could conceive such violence against innocent people to achieve political goals .

BJP finally acted with muscle ... The decisive party it was . We dont need Jaswant's and yashwant's and shourie's whose only Job is to criticize the party in the public domain to settle personal scores .
