How I’m using ‘Teaching Parents How To Teach’

Jill’s book, Teaching Parents to Teach, has been an inspiration as well as a great resource for me as I embarked on this journey. It has not only given me the tools and guidelines of which to base my lessons but also reaffirmed my belief and passion in multisensory teaching. I have had incredible results with my students over the last 6 months.

C is delightful with her baby sister, playing with her and making her laugh. She is empathetic and understands her needs, loving her and consoling her when she cries.

We are now at the end of November and have experienced all kinds of weather. My granddaughter, C, enjoys carrying her umbrella in the rain and wearing her new snow boots in the snow.

We returned home to carve the pumpkins, roast the seeds and make pumpkin cookies and soup. C enjoys wearing her fairy princess costume at home but is reluctant to wear it at the preschool and she doesn’t know why. We are pondering this one...
