Jill’s book, Teaching Parents to Teach, has been an inspiration as well as a great resource for me as I embarked on this journey. It has not only given me the tools and guidelines of which to base my lessons but also reaffirmed my belief and passion in multisensory teaching. I have had incredible results with my students over the last 6 months.

We are now at the end of November and have experienced all kinds of weather. My granddaughter, C, enjoys carrying her umbrella in the rain and wearing her new snow boots in the snow.

We returned home to carve the pumpkins, roast the seeds and make pumpkin cookies and soup. C enjoys wearing her fairy princess costume at home but is reluctant to wear it at the preschool and she doesn’t know why.
I had the privilege of watching two 3 year old girls playing yesterday. I visited a friend’s house and we chatted as her granddaughter and granddaughter’s friend played together. The children amused themselves without any toys. At one point they removed the pillows and cushions from the sofa and happily went on a journey collecting [...]

While driving downtown with my 2-½ year old son I witnessed a man collapse from epileptic seizures. I immediately called 911, parked the car, collected my son and ran to reassure the gentleman that help was on the way. My son, who is typically very chatty, was silent throughout, even when the ambulance and fire [...]
