The nine students involved came together from the Washington and Lincoln Elementary Gifted and Talented Program called ExPLore. The teacher, Mrs. McDermott arranged for a summer workshop through the sponsorship of The Charles City Excellence in Education Foundation. The students used their research, a walking tour, and their own photos to produce this episode they titled "Historical Charles City."
