We constantly stumble upon ridiculously cool diy ideas that for some reason we don’t make ourselves. We do want to share them with you, though! One project I absolutely adore ist this starburst mirror:

It is such a classic that could cost you quite a lot if you buy it. This diy version, however, achieves a great effect without the added cost. The tutorial can be found here.

Pinboard redo

For our office, which we’re currently working on, we have recently spruced up a standard magnet/cork board combination. Here’s the cheap office helper (only $ 4 at our grocery store!) before:

It was useful but just too boring. To make it a bit more interesting, we got out some leftover paint from this project. We made sure to tape the cork and magnet surfaces off securely and got started on the wooden frame. Since the frame was so thin we used a small pencil here.

We made sure to let it dry completely before removing the tape again:

Wrapping Christmas presents: 2008

I am seriously behind with my Christmas presents this year, which is very out of the ordinary for me. So, instead of sharing how I’m wrapping my presents this year, here’s what I did last year:

For the deocrations I used moss, fake mushrooms, some felt shapes, as well as a ceramic deer and some simple diy gift tags.
