My baby is 10 months old! I remember when I wished for Max to grow up fast! now, I wish for Gere not to grow as fast as his brother...
The true is, that Max's first year of live was hard hard hard ( it might not be enough hards in here) I actually don't remember much of it...seriously! but with G it was just so easy, maybe because we already had some experience or maybe because he is a easier baby to take care...god knows why. But certainly this second time it's a piece of cake! (comparing with the first time!)

Guess is more easy when you are seeing this smile all the time...
Love my babies...I know...even at four Max still my baby and I ask to myself, for how long?Martahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13514739349525922337noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6720587733794135317.post-77034536976601463192010-12-01T13:10:00.000-05:002010-12-01T13:10:01.141-05:00Thinking about...My City -Medellin- at night. Last night I have a thought... and the image that came to my mind was very similar to this one...

Can wait to go back and have a pick of my city at night, is been couple years since I have a view like that one... not to mention a view of our Christmas lights, they are just amazing, I'm just waiting to see what is going to be the theme this year, at soon I get photos from my sis I will post them here...

Lot to do...

I'm a new soul
I came to this strange world
Hoping I could learn a bit bout how to give and take.
But since I came here,
Felt the joy and the fear
Finding myself making every possible mistake

la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la...

I'm a young soul
In this very strange world
Hoping I could learn a bit bout what is true and fake
But why all this hate?
Try to communicate
Finding trust and love is not always easy to make

la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la...

This is a happy end
'Cause you don't understand
Everything you have done
Why's everything so wrong?
This is a happy end
Come and give me your hand
I'll take you far away

I'm a new soul
I came to this strange world
Hoping I could learn a bit bout how to give and take.
But since I came here,
Felt the joy and the fear
Finding myself making every possible mistake

I'm a new soul... (la, la, la, la,...)
In this very strange world...
Every possible mistake
Possible mistake
Every possible mistake
Mistakes, mistakes, mistakes...
Take take take take take... take a mistake
Take, take a mistake
Take, take a mistake
(oh oh oh oh...)
[fade out]
(oh oh oh oh...)

The best part... "this is a happy end..."
you can hear it here Yael Naim new soulMartahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13514739349525922337noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6720587733794135317.post-50188095161946796592010-11-23T17:21:00.000-05:002010-11-23T17:21:55.532-05:00MichiganHello there,
PS I'm tired, please forgive my bad writing.Martahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13514739349525922337noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6720587733794135317.post-14342028629650542712010-11-17T16:43:00.000-05:002010-11-17T16:43:41.112-05:00Too longHoly cow.

It's being almost a year since I wrote on my page (not an easy year) but I am back... this time my purpose is not only write about the house but about our lives here in Morgatown, and the ultimate goal is to make an entry every day! *Sigh* did I really said that?

Anyway, now that I'm not on bed rest, the house doesn't need to be fixed (as much as before) and I have a lot of projects to be exited about, I decided it is time to share again...

What have I been thinking lately? Well, Thanksgiving is coming, so I thought Max is at the perfect age to understand why are we having this holiday. Still having most of our books in boxes I went to the library, and to my surprise it seems like the rest of the moms around here were thinking just like me! If I found 10 books on the shelf I'd be exaggerating (like a good Colombian girl), but I guess the librarian saw my frustration and decided to put some more out. Lucky me, between those books I found this one:

And I just love it!
Enough for today, I will try to keep my promise.
A little corner under the stairs is looking very warm to me right now. It does not have the furniture I was dreaming of (a little console, a standing coat rack, and a new lamp) but it is working pretty well with what we have right now! So, I'm happy!
I should have a blog! It's supposed to be good therapy and at the same time I will keep family and friends posted about our new life here in Morgantown, WV.
We just moved from Boston, Mass., and coming from a big city to a small town has not being easy for me. Thank God I'm being entertained by my toddler son Max, and my new obsession, fixing and decorating our first home (no more renting, yipee!), an old and beautiful 1936 house that needs what we call a lot of TLC.
So, this is the beginning. I will be posting pictures from before, and of course after, and probably the many questions I have about what to do and what not do when you have all this empty space to decorate, and not so much money to do it. Hope you can help me with some answers.

Marta

Martahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13514739349525922337noreply@blogger.com3
