We must confess we stole this idea from another blogger. Because it was cool. The idea is to describe yourself in as many simple sentences as your age in years. Move it to your Facebook Profile and add a sentence each year that covers the most important thing of the year - building an amzing track record

This is what this girlie did - just to give you an idea

1. I want to be a writer by profession, but have no idea what kind of writing I’ll do.

2. I’m absolutely in love with a boy named Blaine that I met the first day of college.

3. I am better friends with my momma than with almost anyone else and I refused to marry anyone who didn’t measure up to my dad.

4. I worship and love deeply the God of the Bible and would give up my life for His honor (if that’s too obtuse, then ask me what I mean!).

5. I love films almost as much as I love books.

6. My favorite color is red: the deep, pungent kind.

7. I was a child in France, an adolescent in Greensboro, NC, and a woman in Chattanooga, TN.

8. I have a dog named Amber that I just might run into a burning building to save.

9. I have never really gotten along with girls and felt very badly about it until I realized recently that NO girl really gets along with other girls.

10. My daddy always told me I was beautiful, and it made all the difference.

11. I cry more often when reading books and watching movies than in real life.

12. I have recently discovered myself to be an ENFJ: we’re less than 2% of the world’s population.

13. I have nightmares and usually end them by beating the crap out of the bad guy.

14. I want to travel so much that being home is a novelty.

15. I feel beautiful and sexy about 6 days out 7, mostly due to Blaine and how he treats me. That 1 day out of 7, I eat ice cream and oreos and don’t take a shower just to rebel.

16. I was violently mistreated in highschool by my peers and as such, only really trust middle-aged people.

17. I don’t want to have kids until we’ve traveled a ton and had a chance to find out who we married. Blaine agrees.

18. I want to have as many kids as I can.

19. I love my in-laws and wish I knew them better.

20. I want to be excellent at at least one hobby, language, profession, etc. before I die.

21. I want to play a musical instrument, but so far have been satisfied with a decent back-up vocal.

22. I can’t wait to go Home.

Wedding invitations are very, very special, whether you have them designed or make them yourself or buy them ready-made.
However, it is true that they are generally made of the highest-quality paper and soon thrown away by 90% of your guests. This means that wedding invitations are rather eco-unfriendly.

What to do? Naturally we've got the solution (would we've asked if we didn't?!) Have your wedding invitation on the web, on your personal wedding website.

We know, we know many wedding guru's say it is 'not etiquette'. Here we beg to differ with all due respect: we've moved on to an age that saving the planet is the absolute etiquette. We have to find ways towards a personal eco-responsible lifestyle ... and web wedding invitations certainly qualify.
However, the old-style etiquetists do have a point: wedding ivitations is about niceties and MOST of all about style. Doing a bad job of these two is never nice. We totally agree. Getting a proper web graphic designer is the way to get a beautiful wedding invitation on your personal wedding website.
Professional graphic designers can really create wonderful virtual wedding invitation designs, with lovely text effects, wording, any visual texture and any designs you may have in mind.

The design is then loaded onto your wedding website ... an eco-friendly and stunning invitation.

This is not a cheapie option (it could be, if you do it yourself). Costing will depend on how complex a card you need. The more complex, the more time-consuming (you'll be paying for design time). We suggest
(1) Ask to see examples before requesting a quote Designers can e-mail you examples or may refer you to website examples.
(2) Get an all-inclusive quote Rather get a quote for the job than a quote of x amount per hour. This means you know what you will be paying for.
(3) Arrange to print a small number of wedding invitations for yourself and for for your nearest and dearest who are really going to treat your invitation as a keepsake. You'll probably be printing around 10-50, instead of 100-500 ... which means you'll still be doing your bit for the planet. Printing can be done by downloading your invitation on a memory stick and taking it to a print shop who does small runs. You'll normally have a huge range of papers, or ask your designer to assist you.

It simply makes sense and usually more elegant and visually satisfying when the theme and colour scheme of your website design ties in with your wedding invitation. Paint your picture of you two in terms of your first experiences. After all, we are the creations of our experiences. Here is a list of traditional firsts, but do add you own flavor. If you are into sports or nature or arts you will have other, interesting firsts to add.
You'll also note that there is a second section which focuses on you as a couple, which is is quite romantic and revealing. Fill it in together and lump it onto your 'Our Story' page. Or fill it in separately and have it as your 'Who is the Bride/Groom' pages.

Another great bio idea for both of you is to answer typical magazine interview questions. We've compiled a list of those we've noticed elicits interesting answers. We'll be expanding the list, and do let us know if you have some nice ideas.

Another approach, based on the same questions, is to change the question to '3 things ...', as in '3 nicknames I've had' or '3 things you'll find me doing on a Saturday afternoon' or '3 stars I can identify by name' (This is a fun one: some of us will be listing filmstars, others sport stars, some birth signs, still others graphic designs and yet another group will be thinking of the Southern Cross or Pole Star ... or some stuff we aren't thinking of right now ...)

Choose any … sort them around a theme … add your own … answer them together ... answer them secretly and separately to see what you each put on the table ... BUT don’t answer all of them … you’ll just be exhausted!

www.OurWeddingPage.co.za/ has some of the most beautiful (not some ... the most beautiful!) designs for a personal wedding website. With us your homepage photo is framed beautifully, as if a professional lay-out artist or page-designer was at work on your homepage.

We've noticed another option, and thought it might be nice to know that you can have your personal picture on your home page as big as you can fit in. Here is how to do it:

1. Each homepage actually consists of two elements: an outer frame and an innner frame.
2. Both frames are beautiful, and it works equally well to use both frames or only an outer frame. (Anyone! Around twenty to choose from, and more coming up!)
3. If you would actually like your own pic to be bigger on your front page, choose the 'no homepage' option. You will then have only an outer frame.
4. Then simply load your pic on this page. Your pic will be bigger and beautifully framed.

Add your text, as you would have had you chosen a homepage effect. Your page is indefinite in length: it does not have a 'bottom' like a wedding invitation or a book

Writing Your Personal Wedding Website Biographies

Somewhere on your personal wedding website a biography is usually expected ... a page the friends of your partner are eagerly going to read, or at least skim-read. You are the celebrity of the day, after all.

But writing about oneself can be tough stuff, at least for some of us. If you are not a natural try a formula – journalists often do.

Another option is to each write about your partner. After all, saying how wonderful s/he is is easy – and it is great for your partner to bask in your admiration!

We’ve assigned titles to each formula to distinguish them, but you need not add the title to your biography. Use the examples and questions as triggers.

And although we used ‘partner’, 'me' and 'my' we think it would be so much nicer if you used your name or your partner’s name ... or your pet names

A Word of Welcome - Writing it Right

After the pic on your personal wedding website comes the text, and here you would like to make your first impression - one that lasts forever!

Why?
Because your Welcoming Note sets the tone not only of your personal wedding website but also of your wedding. It spells out 'stylish' or 'fun-loving' or 'formal' or 'elegant' or 'romantic' ... whatever message is perfectly you.

Getting it just right is a challenge. Some ideas http://www.ourweddingpage.co.za/ knows work well:

Start off with a quote. A romantic quote is easy to remember and usually contains a lovely truth worth carrying into your relationship. We collect romantic quotes - just scroll down on our blog.

Do a poem. Write your own poetry, or check the web or blogs for poetry. The lyrics of your favourite love song is often pure poetry!

Do the newspaper report. Choose a striking heading, followed by text answering the who, what, where, when, why and how. What for a heading? You've so often surprised and amazed us ... so go ahead and be creative!

List it with stars in your eyes. Invoke all the romance you can! Choose a slogan or catchphrase and expand on it, listlike. You need examples? How about 'We dream of ....' and list your dreams of the future
Another one? "With you ...." and list how you enrich each other's life. Quotes are often good starting points.

Do the formal announcement. 'We, John A Johnson and Christie-Anne Brinker, intend to be married on the first day of May 2007 at 5 pm at .... We are pleased to share this joyful occasion with you on our wedding website.'

Write your love history. Tell how long you've known each other and why a wedding has become the next step. Keep to the headlines with just enough to tantalise your guests. You want them to read your love story and how the engagement happened on your further pages.

Saying thank you. Thankfulness is as part of love as romance. You may feel like thanking your fiancee, and everything/everyone who co-operated in getting you together

Make it a letter. Write a personal letter, starting off with 'Dear Friends' or 'Hi All' or something similar, and inviting them personally to your wedding.

Do the informal thing. 'Hi! Guess what? ...'

Just add your wedding invitation. Of course you could be (will be? may be? should be? are? it depends on your take on etiquette!) sending out real wedding invitations. But a virtual wedding invitation is actually a very green, eco-friendly option. But celebs don't write about themselves. Journos fall over themselves to do that for them!
Yep, true. But you can copy the pro's and do a pretty fabulous job of your personal wedding website. Here's how to fascinate your guests on your http://www.ourweddingpage.co.za/

Step 1

Ever heard 'A picture speaks louder than a thousand words' ? It does. So get a good pic. One in which you two glow. We, your guests, want to see the love. Looking at your love is good for us! (and although there is no research to prove it, it might even make us more generous givers of wedding gifts ...)

A good wedding picture means one in which you two look straight to the camera. No side-way stares into the romantic future. The only other option is to look at each other - but then you'll loose eye-to-eye contact with us. It does not have to head-and-shoulders straight: you can jump or joy or do any fun/loving thing.

Do check the background. Something neutral, like mono-coloured curtains or nature works well. A TV in the background and clutter does not.
