David Beckham’s eldest son Brooklyn is training with Queens Park Rangers just days after dad's retirement.

The recently-relegated Premier League club confirmed he had been training but denied he had joined the Under 14's academy.

A QPR tweet said: "Contrary to reports, Brooklyn Beckham has been training at #QPR but has not joined our academy."

Brooklyn, who was 14 in March, started playing at Spurs as a four-year-old, spent time with the Under 14 team at LA Galaxy and would join his dad in training at Paris Saint-Germain.

QPR train near the Beckhams’ new family home in west London, making it easy for him to attend sessions and for his dad to keep a close eye on his progress.

In January it looked like Brooklyn could end up playing for Chelsea after he had a trial there alongside Gordon Ramsay’s boy Jack.

The two lads took part in an under-14 session at the Premier League club’s state-of-the-art training ground.

Brooklyn was cheered on from the sidelines by David – much to the surprise of other parents at the trial.

Tanzania is expected to host the biggest visit ever in early July of this year, when President Barack Obama of the United States will grace the honor. Obama is the first African-American elected President in the United States.

Briefing the African Diplomatic Corps and press earlier today, Minister Bernard K. Membe (MP) of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation said that President Obama will be accompanied by his Family and close to 700 delegates consist of CEOs of various companies.

According to the US' White House statement issued earlier this week, the visit embarks the US’ “commitment to broadening and deepening cooperation with the people of sub-Saharan Africa.” President Obama is scheduled to visit Senegal, South Africa prior to coming to Tanzania on July 1 to 2 of this year.

Hon. Membe noted that the Obama’s visit will overlap the Country’s hosted Smart Partnership Dialogue on June 28 through 1st of July this year, in Dar es Salaam.

The theme of this year’s Dialogue is “Leveraging Technology for Africa’s Socio-economic Transformation: The Smart Partnership War”.

The Minister further said that important dignitaries from all over the world are expected to attend the Dialogue, including "the US former President George W. Bush and his wife Laura Bush", said Minister Membe, adding that the main agenda of President’s Obama visit is “Power Africa”.

The agenda of "Power Africa" is earmarked to spearhead energy conservation among the African nations, stomping energy sector as a vital component of the economic development sphere in the Continent. While in the Country, President Obama will host a businessmen forum that will gather groups from various development sectors in both countries.

In another development, Hon. Membe briefed the reporters about the African Union’s Golden Jubilee celebrations, slated for this Saturday 25 May 2013 at Karimjee Grounds in Dar es Salaam.

Detailing the program, the Permanent Secretary Mr John Haule said that the theme for the AU’s 50 years’ celebration is Pan-Africanism and the African Renaissance. Other activities to mark the celebration will include the Panel’s discussion on the role of AU in the Struggle for African Liberations and Self-Determination.

The press conference was attended by H.E. Juma Alfani Mpango, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps and the Ambassador of Democratic Republic of Congo - DRC and other Ambassadors from Mozambique, Namibia, Algeria, Nigeria, Malawi and Zambia. Also in attendance were Ambassadors from Sudan, Somalia, Egypt, Zimbabwe and other countries in Africa.

'BABY FACTORY' UNCOVERED IN NIGERIA.

During raid in Imo State, police found young girls forced to become pregnant and give birth repeatedly.

The tiny building that housed a baby factory in Umuaka, Imo State in Eastern Nigeria was dilapidated and filthy. Nobody knows how many pregnant girls and teenagers passed through the factory or how long it had existed, before it was raided by Nigerian police.

The girls were set free. It was understandable that locals were not suspicious about what was going on there. At the front of the compound that housed the baby factory, there was a small informal mineral water packeting factory, fully equipped with machines and water packaging boxes everywhere.

But not far behind, behind a few small trees, bushes and oddly built walls and open air passage ways, the baby factory lay. Girls were crammed into four tiny rooms where they slept on nothing but straw mats, without beddings.

The police told us that babies were conceived in these rooms, right on the floor. Girls were often lined up and forced to have sex in full view of other teenage girls, one after the other. The girls were impregnated by an elderly security guard, who watched the gate of the "mineral water packaging factory" during the day. And impregnated the girls at night.

It is also believed that a 23-year-old man found living in the compound was hired by the factory owner to impregnate the girls.

The factory owner, a woman known only as "Madam One Thousand" fled the factory during the raid. But some of the girls showed up at the factory pregnant already.

They were tricked into thinking it was a safe haven for teenage girls who did not want to keep their babies, but did not want an abortion either. They intended to give their babies up for what they thought was a formal adoption. But once they were in the compound, they were held prisoner by Madam One Thousand - and forced to get pregnant again and again and again.

The police have discovered that babies were sold for as little as $600. They are still investigating how many were sold, and where they might have ended up. The pregnant girls have told police everything they know. They are now being given counseling and are being taken care of by Imo State government.

Some of the girls we met are very worried about their future. Some of the girls parents do not even know where they are. But at least now their in safe hands and out of the hands of Madam One Thousand.

Baby-trafficking is becoming a problem in Eastern Nigeria of recent. Another raid in Enugu saw six girls all under 17 freed, from a similar baby factory. And just two weeks ago several pregnant girls were freed from a baby factory in Abia state.

The Nigerian authorities recognise the seriousness of this problem. But a month ago the European Union published a report saying that human trafficking is the third biggest crime in Nigeria.

The lucky invitees received a fully functioning music box complete with a twirling ballerina who bears a striking resemblance to reality TV star Kim.

It is thought that Kim will follow in the footsteps of sister Kourtney who both of her baby showers to celebrate the impending arrival of Mason Dash and Penelope Scotland in the grounds of her mum Kris Jenner and stepfather Bruce Jenner's Calabasas home.

Hosting the party are Kim's mum and manager Kris, her two sister Kourtney and Khloe Kardashiana and Shelli Azoff who is the wife of music mogul Irving Azoff.

Beyonce and Black Eyed Peas' Fergie are among the invitees, according to US Magazine.

According to reports in January, Kim, 32, requested that rather than bring gifts, all the guests made donations to charity instead.

The socialite and her rapper boyfriend are said to have banned all invitees from bringing presents for the baby, preferring that they use that money to help a worthwhile cause.

Their generous gesture may well have been inspired by another celebrity couple – Shakira and Gerard Pique.

Shortly before welcoming their baby boy in January, the singer and her footballer love launched an online baby shower via UNICEF in support of some of the world's most vulnerable babies.

"In lieu of receiving gifts for our baby with a traditional shower we would like to offer support for babies who live in conditions of extreme poverty throughout the world," the new parents wrote.

Having the baby shower to organise should help Kim take her mind off of any anxiety she has about becoming a first time mum.

She admitted to having a few nerves ahead of her July due date.

"As I’m counting the days until I finally get to be a mother, I’m a bit nervous and anxious but also excited knowing that I learned from the very best" she wrote in a heart-warming blog post for US Mother's Day.

The mum-to-be praised her 57-year-old mother and manager Kris Jenner, saying she is "a strong and ambitious career woman " who "still manages to put family first and continues to look out for us every day."

The fashion designer praised her big sister Kourtney in the touching blog post saying she is "the most incredible mum" to Mason, 4, and 10-month-old Penelope.

WOOLWICH KILLINGS: BRUTALLY ATTACKED & KILLED SOLDIER NAMED AS DRUMMER LEE RIGBY ,25.

The soldier hacked to death and beheaded by two Islamic terrorists in Woolwich yesterday has been named by the Ministry of Defence.

Drummer Lee Rigby, 25, from 2nd Battalion, Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, was mown down in a car before being brutally butchered with knives and meat cleavers in front of horrified witnesses in the brazen broad daylight attack.

Mr Rigby, from Crumpsall, Greater Manchester, was father to two-year-old son Jack with wife Rebecca, who he is believed to have been separated from.

Known to his friends as 'Riggers', he joined the army in 2006 and was selected to be a member of the Corps of Drums and posted to 2nd Battalion The Royal Regiment of Fusiliers, attached to the Regimental Recruiting Team in London.

He had served in Helmand province, Afghanistan, where he was a member of the Fire Support Group in Patrol Base Woqab.

A life-long Manchester United fan, he had also stood outside the Royal Palaces as part of his battalion's public duties commitment.

Lieutenant Colonel Jim Taylor MBE, Commanding Officer Second Fusiliers, described Drummer Rugby as a "dedicated and professional soldier".

He said: "He was a real character within the Second Fusiliers. Larger than life, he was at the heart of our Corps of Drums. An experienced and talented side drummer and machine gunner, he was a true warrior and served with distinction in Afghanistan, Germany and Cyprus.

"His ability, talent and personality made him a natural choice to work in the recruiting group. He will be sorely missed by everyone in the Second Fusiliers.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this incredibly difficult time. Once a Fusilier, Always a Fusilier."

Sergeant Barry Ward, Drum Major Second Fusiliers, added: "Drummer Rigby was a loving father, with a very bubbly character.

"He was an excellent Drummer, loved his job and was a highly popular member of the Platoon."

A shocked and tearful neighbour outside the family home, a council house on the Langley estate in Middleton, Greater Manchester said: "He had always wanted to be in the army since he was knee high."

The woman, who did not want to be named, added: "He was a lovely lad, he lived around here for years and went to Middleton Tech."

But it is understood the men are most likely to be British citizens converted to a radical form of Islam.

Boko Haram is the most prominent terrorist threat in Nigeria. The group's extremists aspire to establish Islamic law in Nigeria and carry out attacks across states mainly in the north.

In 2011, Boko Haram claimed responsibility for the bombing of the UN building in the Nigerian capital of Abuja, which killed 23 people in an act that showed the group could target Western interests.

The group, whose name means "Western education is sacrilege", was blamed for nearly 800 killings last year alone.
