Troy Kelly You may have seen at Outpost Coffee Roasters we carry Sheldon Creek Dairy milk, which we have named 'fancy milk' or 'raw milk' (as close to raw as you are legally allowed here) this rich milk is perfect for making your flat white or cortado much creamer. Sheldon Creek milk is non homogenized, leaving milkfat globules intact to carry important nutrients like Vitamins A & D to the body. The Sheldon milk is enzyme-rich due to their pasteurization process, in which they heat the milk to 73 degrees celsius for just 16 seconds. These enzymes are crucial for digestion, as they assimilate nutrients into the body. This flash pasteurization process kills harmful bacteria, without harming enzymes. Since the milk is left in its natural form any people who have had issues drinking milk or milk allergies have been able to drink Sheldon Creek's milk!

]]> We’ve had to adjust our business drastically since the onset of the global pandemic affecting us all. We’re taking COVID-19 very seriously. In our shop, we’re leading the charge on precautions to ensure both staff and customer health and safety. First and foremost, all of our staff are ensuring they are 100% healthy. Anyone with even mild symptoms is required to stay home for a minimum of 10 days. Secondly, we’ve implemented protocols to reduce touch-points between customers, and where they remain, we’re sanitizing surfaces between each guest. Lastly, staff are diligently hand-washing many times per hour. Our priority is to do our part to flatten the curve, while still providing you with delicious coffee!

Here's how COVID-19 has changed how we are conducting business:

    • Our shop is not accepting cash to minimize touch-points;
    • Our gift cards work for both in-store and online purchases;
    • We are taking online orders and offering in-store pickup;
    • We have launched coffee subscription boxes;
    • We have increased production and are roasting Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays; and,
    • We started a local delivery option.

      COVID-19 RELATED DELAYS

      Due to the high volume of online orders you may experience slower than normal delivery times. However, your shipping timeline should be as follows: 
      • Orders place Friday–Sunday should be shipped the following Monday
      • Orders place Monday–Thursday should be shipped the following day

      We were looking for a scale that was portable, fits on the espresso machine, handles the weight of a full Clever or Chemex brewer, and was precise enough for measuring espresso shots. There are a lot of scales out there on the market, ranging from ones that are very simple to iPhone app enabled scales that are a coffee geek's wet dream. We looked at all of them, narrowed it down to three, then finally chose the SC-2KG because it just offers great value. 

       It doesn't have many bells and whistles. It's compact, precise, durable for everyday use, and uses AAA batteries or an included AC adapter. Put simply, it gets the job done and doesn't require your spouse to approve the purchase.
