I finally got the new King’s of Leon album, and I have to say I’m impressed. Definitely better than Only by the Night.

Does anyone remember Sister Sister? One of the best 90’s shows ever.

Nowadays, many criticise, but i don’t know…I think they had the right idea with some of their outfits. The tartan tights? The electric blue blue top tucked in the high-waisted shorts? That gorgeous effing waistcoat, the vivid floral top and the cropped jeans jacket?

I was in love and didn’t listen to anything else for a week.

I’ve been away, and now I’m back for good! blah blah blah. I kind of had the bloggers equilvanlent of writer’s block. I didn’t know what to post about.
I couldn’t find a lot of good pictures from the wedding but here’s…er…one.

…yeah. thats my new haircut! Rush is so amazing. and the guy that cut my hair? Ahem.
The dress I’m wearing is from Zara, a lovely cream lace affair. It’s not fancy or anything so i can definitely wear it out. I think I might pair it with a leather jacket or one of my lovely men shirts/cardi’s. My collection is slowly growing.
AND I FINALLY HAVE A M.A.C LIPSTICK!!!! AND IT’S MATT!!!! AND RED!!!! and it smells yummy. My only complaint is that it’s very (for lack of a better word) chalky. I need a base or smth.

Oh and I’ve finally started college. I must admit, I miss my old school but I know I’ll do better at my new one. Although that is slightly messed up. From private school to a state school, yet I know I'm going to do better (yes. yes I am a freak) It’s all suits and smart clothes but me being me, I can’t deal with being plain so i stand out a lil bit.

Anyway, I have loads of plans for OG for the rest of this year so yeah. New header and layout (yes AGAIN) and loads of posts and one or two giveaways.

My camera isn’t working. My ankle still hurts from a drunken attempted-jump-from-a-wall fall from over a month a go. To top it off I’m in a terrible mood (not so unusual).

cently, what I’ve been noticing is that when I think less about what I want to wear, my outfit turns out so much better.
I’ve been incorporating a grunge and Alexander Wang-esque look into all my outfits without realising. Granted, during A/W I’m going to work on the Alexander Wang look more, but atm I’m content with what I got.
I’ve been overwearing my many ripped tights and leggings, Primark men’s tops as dresses and my fake Doc’s. My mum is constantly at me telling me to swap the boots for my gladiator sandals (‘They were 50quid from Aldo and they’re just sitting in your room! 50quid! And you’re wearing those?!’) Yet I won’t give them away…

Yeah I want one. But I’m content enough to spend my money on whatever all the time.
On that note, a new Danish shop ‘Tiger’ has opened in Croydon (my local shopping centre/mall) and they have the most awesome art section. The black notebooks!!!!! I’m going to buy one soon along with some kiddy felt pens and black drawing pens. I want to start drawing again. Dunno why I stopped tbh…oh yeah I remember. I’m incredibly lazy (:
AND!!!!!!!! I booked an appointment in Rush avec my best friend Shenaid!!
Ok that doesn’t seem worth that many exclamation marks. BUT I’ve never had my hair professionally cut. I’ve had the ends trimmed by myself, my mum and crappy local hairdressers around 6-8 times in my life. I even cut my fringe myself. As a result my split ends go on and on.
So yeah. Proper excited. Except I’m not allowed to go super short.

I’ve been such a naughty blogger. Like ALWAYS, I have an excuse.
Although I had finished my exams quite some time ago, our school required us to partake in 2 weeks work experience.
Such fun –_-
But hey, I actually can’t complain with my placement. I finished it last Friday and I have to say it was quite enjoyable. I did my work experience at The Financial Times! I know I know, how the fuck did I manage that? My mum knows someone lovely that works there and talked to the Head of Product Development and got it for me.
I did my 2 weeks in the Product Development department of the FT and tbh most of the work consisted of data input, surveys, editing webpages; boring shit, albeit good experience. BUT I was given the opportunity to talk with the head of Design for FT.com Dan Skinner, a Web Developer at FT.com Chris Ware (omfg he was gorgeous hehe) and I was given an iPad to play with for a whole day. Plus the five people next and opposite to me were absolute DARLINGS! They proper looked after me, were hilarious and so bloody nice. And the lady that generally looked after me and gave me work to do was so so so lovely.
So yes. Some of the work was a tad tedious but all in all it was very interesting and quite enjoyable. Not to mention it’ll look damn good on my CV.
Hehehe anyhow, my post’s will definitely be more frequent now, and hopefully I’ll start posting more of my own photo’s.
I have my best friends 16th on Friday and a friends bday thing on Saturday so hopefully I’ll do a post on Sunday or if I can, Saturday.

Shoes shoes shoes.

We couldn’t really get anywhere without them (I’d imagine that would be pretty uncomfortable) and some of them are just amazing to look at.
It’s sort of like, stereotypically, women are supposed to have an item of clothing that they are obsessed with. Like bags, dresses or you know, shoes.
There are sandals, wedges, trainers, sneakers, flats (and in flats there are brogues, pumps etc) then you have heels and that just opens up a whole range of different types. I won’t even try to list all the types!

I have to admit a favourite shop of mines (yes...just to buy shoes) is Office.

I already have these in black, but they are so worn they have holes in them! Grr. But now Office do them in TEN different styles. I’m pretty sure Office is mocking me. But at only £20 a pair...

Also, I have a pair of converse from there too.

And as I’ve mentioned in a previous post, I’m madly coveting these (although I’ve given up having them):

Yes meggings. When I first heard about these a few months ago, I thought they were a joke. Seriously. Cuz leggings are just glorified tights, so why would any self respecting male be caught dead in them? Plus I’d imagine it’d be a tad uncomfortable in the er…crotch area?

It’s a funny book. and picture. it took a big black box to cover that up. But i er…digress.

Well I like Russell Brand. Emphasis on the like. Yum. His pins look better than mines.
Personally, I don’t think meggings are too bad under a pair of shorts, cuz idk…it livens things up abit. And if you’re slender enough to rock them as trousers, well, what's the problem?

And in other news, LEGGINGS ARE NOT PANTS!
Usually I don’t like using Americanised versions of words, but ‘leggings are not trousers’ sounds kinda lame.
I’d rather support MEGGINGS to be honest. If you’re going to wear any form of leggings, make sure your top covers your arse please. The public does NOT want to see your knickers (or lack of thereof).

Despite her being a ‘fashion icon’ and bloggers going on about her, I’ve never been too fond of GaGa.
I’m pretty much in love with her now.
Why? ‘cuz I watched the ‘Alejandro’ video. Firstly, I was so PLEASED with myself, as I now know how to say ‘Alejandro’ properly. In my head I was saying ‘Ale-jan-dro’ instead of ‘Ale-han-'dro’.
FEEL FREE TO LAUGH AT ME. I laughed at me too.
Anyway, despite many people going ‘Men in fishnets? why??’ or Katy Perry labelling the video as blasphemous…which I think is pretty silly of her. She said it was as bad as a comedian making fart jokes. Russell Brand (whom I love, adore, want to do bad things to etc etc) makes fart jokes. So shut up Katy Perry. Shut up.
I LOVE IT. It’s so fucking weird. And the military, monotone, erotic theme to it…it actually gave me goose bumps. No lie.
Only thing I didn’t like were those wigs that the guys wore. THOSE were awful. And that rifle/gun bra. That must have been awkward…
I loved her goggles for some odd reason.

Also, I’ve grown rather bored with my hair. I had it texturised last year (chemically straightened) and got a fringe but that's worn off now, and since last year I’ve been leaving my hair natural = curly.
So the next step would be to dye it. Nothing too drastic. My hair is naturally a dark brown, so it just looks black. I’ve decided i want to dye it a chocolate brown. And if I’m lucky, red highlights! Ahh and a full fringe.

I just looked up the hair dye I want to use and holy jimjam. I got pictures of girls who have used it and their faces have become so swollen they cant see. Feeling slightly scared now (correction – I’m metaphorically shitting myself). Ahh time to find a new hair dye brand now…

p.s. I hate flat clogs. But you have to admit the heeled Chanel ones are simply (for lack of a better word) darling. But can I really afford Chanel? Rhetorical question.
Ergo the Jeffery Campbell ones in Office! Which I want! But they’re £85! Which I don’t have!

Well it is the weekend so yes. A LITTLE bit of free time i guess. I have this thing for skater guys. I just find them insanely hot. And skateboarding in general is just so awesome. I’ve had a board for ages but i haven’t exactly got round to learning…

Skater fashion is kinda appealing too to be honest. It fits in with that whole grunge atheistic style. Which i like. a lot.

Right so I can't remember exactly when I first discovered Fashion Train but I do remember being extremely impressed, especially when I went all the way back to Becca's first post. I found it incredibly interesting to see how her blog had evolved and in doing so, how it gained more followers, readers and how it attracted businesses.
Since I discovered Fashion Train it has remained one of my favourite blogs as opposed to the more famous (but brilliant/fabulous/asdfghjklAMAZING) and well known blogs.
Fashion Train obviously attracts a lot of attention, yet it still remains...well...real. Becca buys her clothes from high-street and online stores at affordable prices instead of 'affordable' stores like A.A or designers. And she always looks gorgeous and unique.

Anyway, here are some questions I asked her...

When and why did you start blogging?

I made my blogspot account in December 2008, I did a few random posts but that was it, I didn't get into blogging properly until April/May time 2009.

Do you believe in following trends religiously?
I believe that everyone has the freedom to wear what they want.

What inspires you? (people, music, etc)
I suppose the people I see around me inspire me most, like when you are out shopping you see people with some really amazing outfits! People wise I'd say - Diana Vickers, Alexa Chung, Daisy Lowe all the indie/bohemian fashion lovers!

Where do you prefer to shop?
If on the highstreet, I'd say New Look or H&M. I barely go into Primark, and only into Topshop when it's the sale! Online Shops I love - Missguided, Desireclothing & Chiarafashion.
How would you describe your individual style?

I'd describe my personal style as Indie/Boho/Girly with a tailored twist? I love tailored shorts and blazers and all things floral!

Do your family and friends know you have a blog? and do they know how popular it's becoming?
My family knew about my blog about 4 months after I'd made it. When business' started contacting me! - My friends on the other hand - Most of them found out through my 'fashion-train' facebook page and couldn't believe it, but they think it's really cool. so it's okay.

What are three things you love, three things you hate?

I love - Family, Friends & Fashion
I hate - Marmite, Backstabbers & Sweede!
What do you want to do after A levels?
I would love to go into fashion retail or fashion journalism!

Any advice for new bloggers?
Advice. Hmmm.. Well - It's really hard to get into blogging, you can't give up. So my advice is. DON'T GIVE UP AT ANYTIME, reply to all comments you've received and update regularly!

So basically urm I'm currently on study leave, which means that I'm done with school (minus the impending doom that happens to be my GCSE examinations).
It's really crazy. I've been at my secondary school for around five years and it's only really just hit me that I'm never going back and I'm never going to spend school days hanging out with all the crazy girls in my class and year.

On the plus side, I'll be starting a new co-ed school, giving me the chance to make new friends and providing a VERY different type of education...so I'm pretty excited tbh >.<

But on a different note...I was going through my wardrobe and thinking about what I need for Summer, and I already incorporate a bit of rock/emo/grunge into my style (fake Docs, grey skinnies, lots of eyeliner etc) but I'm thinking about going more grungey-indie for the summer.

Okay okay, Joan Jett, Sid and Nancy are kinda punk, but I wanted to sneak them in. They're just so damn sexy.

After seeing someone whip out a typewriter on TV, I keep having dreams about them.
When I was younger I used to have this bright yellow, red, blue and green kiddy typewriter. Standard colours yeah? XD
But it got chucked aaages ago.
I'm feeling rather obsessed tbh...

I want this typewriter. It's just so ugh...

But I can't get it. For one it's way too expensive and secondly, my mum would probably kill me if I bought a typewriter.
I'm one of those people who will see things they just LOVE and then a week later, it'll just be sittin' there lookin' pretty.

Hahahaa what can I say? I'm a hoarder. I hoard things. I hate throwing most things away.
ESPECIALLY books.

AND OMG. I had my French Oral today. It was awful >.< At least thats 25% of my GCSE done now...

Ahh I can't stop playing that song at the moment.
And I'm really ashamed. It took me 15minutes to log in because I couldn't remember what I had changed my password to.
I haven't posted in THAT long.

But it were the holidays and I was...busy.
Lame but true.

Hehe well a lot has happened! I turned 16, I went to Underage Festival Easter Special, I went/had my first 'party'. Let's just say I'm 'interesting' when inebriated >.<>
The next day (with a disgusting hangover) my best friend Lucy and I went to see Ellie Goulding at an awesome gay-bar, Heaven. Her supporting act Primary 1 was brilliant and Ellie Goulding? WOW. Somehow, she's even better live...

Last Sunday I went to a pub with my best friend where her boyfriend and his band 'The Chase' were playing and it was really quite nice.
I always think of pubs as dirty places where people get into fights, but this pub was generally very nice. It was relatively easy to find and it might have helped that it was filled mainly with people near my age.
Open mike night is very interesting. Especially when people with great voices have enough courage to get up and sing!
The pictures I took were awful, but I thought I'd put them up anyway...
