ヒューマンライツ・ナウメールマガジン購読者の皆さま10月2日の時点でパレスチナ自治政府の申し出により国連人権理事会における決議が見送られたゴールドストーン勧告ですが、パレスチナ自治政府がすぐに立場を覆し特別勧告を招集いたしました。10月15日、16日と特別会期が行われ、この勧告を是認する決議に至り、賛成多数により承認されました。投票の内訳は、25カ国が賛成、6カ国が反対、11カ国が棄権、5カ国が投票拒否です。アメリカは反対、英仏は無投票、日本は棄権しています。この賛成決議により、これから舞台はジュネーブからニューヨークに移り、国連総会そして安全保障理事会で議論されることになります。そのため、ヒューマンライツ・ナウ及び、日本国内で活動するパレスチナ関係のNGO有志が集まり、・日本政府の国連人権理事会決議での棄権理由の開示と・総会、安保理でのGoldstoneレポート支持を求める下記の要請書
