Princeton now has a "bicibus", a very special school bus formed by a group of children and parents who bicycle to school together, with more joining on the way. Every year, 37,000 people die on American roads, including those in Princeton. So far, those traffic deaths have been reluctantly regarded as an inevitable price to pay for our mobility, but there is a fast-growing movement that says everyone deserves to reach their destination safely, and that the only acceptable number of traffic deaths and serious injuries is zero. In response to COVID-19, a segment of Witherspoon Street from Nassau Street to Spring Street has been converted to a one-way northbound configuration.
