This is my blog about the books I read about Leadership and Management. My name is Eric Hansen. I'm a licensed civil engineer (structures) and a project management professional (PMP). I am currently a supervising bridge engineer at WSP in the Murray, Utah office. I'm an avid reader, but I read so much it becomes a blur to me. I plan on using this site to 1. Slow myself down. 2. Help me retain the good stuff I learn about leadership and management in a journal of sorts. 3. Share it with anyone willing to sit through my ramblings with the hope they'll find a book they like.

Just a little more about me. I love leadership and management because of the challenge, but also how much I love serving others and helping people achieve greatness. I am by no means perfect, and I wouldn't want to put off the air I know everything, but I do like to read and learn new things and share that with others. I earned the PMP in 2017, and I am currently studying for the Six Sigma Black Belt.

For my first book, I'm going to read through "The Dichotomy of Leadership" by Jocko Willink and Leif Babin that came out a couple months ago. If you haven't read their excellent book "Extreme Ownership", I highly recommend it. Not that you should take recommendations from someone you don't even know yet, but still. It's a really good book about leadership and "The Dichotomy of Leadership" is a followup of sorts to that volume.

Anyhow, that's my first post! If you find this blog and have any suggestions of good leadership books, or comments on Extreme Ownership or The Dichotomy of Leadership, feel free to say something.
