Our member is the owner of an apartment building. He was in a three year lease with a company for washers and dryers to be used by the tenants living there. The leasing company was to maintain the equipment and provide monthly accounting for money collected from the equipment. The company was very sloppy in its record keeping. When our member tried to cancel the lease the company refused. After the Provider Law Firm sent a letter, the company agreed to release our member from the rest of the lease.

We recently had a member call in to have some documents reviewed. The member was planning to open a small web-based business to be operated from her home. She had been contacted by a company that proposed to set her up with credit card processing equipment and a merchant account for that business. Fortunately the member called before signing. A Provider Attorney reviewed the documents and was able to point out that the agreement was a non-cancelable four year lease that would have cost her substantially more than she ever anticipated earning in her business. The member elected not to sign the contract.

Our member had been attempting to receive a refund of $73 from a company for over a year. Both the member and the member’s family had contacted the company many times. The member had ordered merchandise that was never delivered. A Provider Attorney sent a letter to the merchant and within five days the company refunded the member’s money and apologized for the inconvenience.

Another member recently called in for what she thought would be a routine document review for a car she was considering purchasing. A Provider Attorney not only reviewed the document,
but was able to do some research on the book value of the car in question with several different sources. That research revealed that the dealer was charging substantially more than the fair market value for the car. There were also financing and payment terms in the documents that were completely different than what the dealer’s sales representative had initially agreed
to. Based on this information, the member opted to take her business elsewhere.

A creditor was dunning our elderly member for a service she had cancelled. A letter from the Provider disputing the charges was successful, eliciting the following response from the creditor:
"Thank you for helping us solve the problem on [the] account. We have fixed the mistake, and [the] account now has a zero balance. We are sorry if we caused you any trouble."

In another matter, our member was contacted by a telemarketer and offered a magazine subscription on a trial basis. The member attempted to cancel the subscription during the trial period, but the company had made it impossible to cancel according to the instructions provided.
The member’s bank account was being charged a monthly fee. A letter from the Provider to the telemarketer resulted in the cancellation of the service and a refund of all fees charged by the company.

A member requested a letter for the return of her deposit on the construction of a new condo in a development. The contractor responded by offering our member her choice of the deposit back or a $10,000 free basement in a different condo in the same development. Our member is very pleased and cannot decide which to choose!

A member had been trying for almost a year to get a refund of $73 paid in advance for a magazine subscription. The company never sent any magazines and ignored the member?s requests. An attorney letter went out Thursday. We got a response the following Tuesday with a copy of the check that was being sent to our member.

One of our attorneys received a call from an out of state police officer. The officer was trying to locate the owner of a backpack that had been turned in. It contained a number of valuable personal items, but nothing in the way of any ID or other way of identifying the owner. There was, however, a copy of a letter that our attorney had written. The backpack belonged to an Ohio member who was on vacation. Our attorney had written a letter on behalf of that member and she just happened to be carrying her copy of that letter in her backpack. As a result, our attorney was able to make a call to the member and tell her where she could recover her lost property before she even knew it was missing. This was something of a pre-emptive call and consultation.

Jump Start Your New Pre-Paid Legal Business With A Private Business Reception

The first thing people think about when they start their new Pre-Paid Legal business, is how to get the word out about their business. The most obvious place to start is with your family and friends. These are the people who love you, trust you, and want to see you succeed so starting with them should be easy. You can easily say something like, hey Ann, I need your help. I just started a new business and I want to get your honest opinion of it. Can you come by my house on.…? Ask for help and simply ask them to come over to your house because you are showing your new business, and you want their honest opinion. Be yourself when you invite people. You do not want to make them feel you are up to something, or you want to sell them something when you are inviting them to your home party. You just simply want to invite them over to show them something so do not try to sell them anything. You can tell them that they may or may not be interested but you want to get their honest opinion on what you are doing. Once they agree to come, change the subject so you do not tell them anything about the services. You want to save that for the presentation. If they ask, tell them you just got started and you do not know enough yet. Then you can change the subject and talk about the refreshments you are planning on serving, and maybe ask them to bring something because you are planning on having other guests, or ask them something about one of their family members.

Home parties are very popular in the home based business industry, and a great way to advertise and get the word out about your new home business. Pre-Paid Legal call their home parties private business receptions aka PBR’s. Many companies such as Tupperware, who market plastic containers and many other plastic items, Mary Kay, who market skin care and make-up products, and Silpada Designs, who market fine sterling silver jewelry, all have independent representatives who give home parties to advertise their products. Home parties can be used to market just about anything. New associates for Pre-Paid Legal are always encouraged to give their first private business receptiong within 72 hours of starting their business.

Having a private business reception to introduce your new Pre-Paid Legal business to family and friends could help you generate your first paycheck with the company. Many of your guests may like the services. In fact, they may need the service because they may be currently going through a legal situation so they may become a member right away. Your private business reception can also lead to future memberships. Once people try the services and like the service they will continue to use it. They may also tell other people about your services, and give you referrals on a regular basis. In fact, you can later ask them for referrals after they have tried the services. Private business receptions can definitely be the beginning of your word-of-month advertising.

The business opportunity should be apart of the presentation at your private business reception. Do not be surprise if a few of your guests want to join you in your Pre-Paid Legal business and become apart of your team. They may see the business as a way for them to earn more money and work from home as well. You just never know who may be interested in the business so the business opportunity should be apart of the presentation. Working with family and friends could be a wonderful thing. You can travel to the company’s big events together, such as the Las Vegas Leadership Summit and the OKC International Convention. The big events are fun to attend and it is nothing like having your family and friends in on the excitement of rubbing shoulders with the top leaders of the company and learning how your can too become a top leader.

When you have your first private business reception, let your sponsor give the entire presentation to your guests for you. Do not attempt to do it alone. Your first private business reception should be a training session for you; therefore, your sponsor should be trained and prepared to teach you how to give an effective presentation. You should be able to sit back, watch and take good notes while your sponsor gives the entire presentation so you can learn how to do it yourself. If your sponsor can not train you, you should find someone who can. You want to learn how to give the presentation yourself so you can teach other people on your team how to do the presentation.

If some of your guests want to join your Pre-Paid Legal business at your home party, this would be the perfect time to schedule the next private business reception at their home. Then you can practice the presentation which you just took notes on, and be prepared to give at least half of the next presentation for you new business partner. You can do half of the presentation and let your sponsor do the other half if you are not ready to do the whole presentation. This way you will still teach your new rep how to give the presentation while you are still learning it yourself. Just make sure they are able to sit back, watch and take notes during the presentation so that they can learn just like you did at your first home party. Don’t worry; the presentation does not have to be perfect. Just do it!

Having a private business reception to generate income and to train new reps starts the duplication process in your home business with private business receptions. You can make this process even more exciting and speed up the duplication process by taking a few of your own guests whenever you give a presentation for someone. This will help your business grow faster and teach others how to do the same. It is important that you and your team continue scheduling private business receptions so your business grows and go into momentum, and also start making you and your team an incredible income.

Although you want to really conduct business at your private business receptions, do not forget to make it fun too. It is still a party to launch you new home based business so have fun!

Pre-Paid Legal On Court TV!

Pre-Paid Legal Services was on Court TV this morning. Several PPL members were talking about the importance of having access to an attorney or a law firm whenever everyday legal events occur in your life, and how having Pre-Paid Legal's Life Events Plan with the Legal Shield, which is the PPL's family legal plan, could give any average income family peace of mind. You do not have to have a high profile legal problem to need an attorney. Your legal problem could be as small as the dry cleaners damaging or losing your clothes for you to need an attorney. It is not so much as needing an attorney in this case but using and attorney. Most people would not even think of calling and attorney or something like this but if you have a legal plan, you can.

They also briefly talked about the benefits of having the Identity Theft Shield along with the legal plan. Identity theft is more than just credit card fraud. It's someone actually using your identity things your are not aware of but eventually could cost you a lot of money and a lot of grief. With identity theft being a growing problem, it only makes sense for people to be proactive and have some kind of protection in place. You never know when you may be a victim of this crime that is sweeping country.

Harland Stonecipher, the founder and CEO of Pre-Paid Legal, was also on the show. He talked about how he founded the company due to him having a car accident that was not his fault but he was sued. That is odd but true. He ended up with a pile of legal bills after trying to defend himself. He decided that something needed to be done to protect people like himself. He had coverage for his doctor bills, car insurance for his car, and life insurance if he had died but he had nothing for his legal expenses. He did his research and found nothing here in America for legal protection. So along came Pre-Paid Legal which has been around for over 30 years. To have been around that many years, you must say they must be doing something right. Someone did think so because Pre-Paid Legal is publicly traded on the NYSE under the symbol PPD.

Mike Moore, attorney general for the state of Mississippi, was the host of the television program. Other attorney generals were featured on the program and they all believed that PPl's legal plan was a good product to give average people legal protection. They gave real life examples of how the legal plan can be used to help people with everyday legal problems that occur, which most people would normally do nothing about because of the high cost of legal representation. They showed how having access to an attorney at an affordable price can allow you to know and exercise your rights whenever you need to.

How To Help Your New Associate Start Their Home Based Business

Do you remember when you started working your first job? You probably went to work on the first day not having a clue what you were going to do, and you ended up in a classroom for orientation or training for the entire day. You probably spent a few days following around someone who was experienced at your new job and was responsible for training you.

Well when you start a new associate or rep with your company, you should pretty much take your new associate through a similiar process. The best thing you can do is take them through want is called OJT (On the Job Training). This has always been and still is the best way to learn any new job. Although this is a business, it's your job to train your new associate until they can fly on their own.

Teach your new associate what you do to build your business. Meaning you should have them follow you around for a while. Take them with you when you go prospecting. This may be when you are out and about shopping at the mall, or out for coffee. You should have them on the phone when you call prospects to setup an appointment or for a follow-up appointment, and have them go on an appointment with you to give a presentation. The next best thing you should do right away is to have them actually schedule an appointment with someone they personally know and can practice their presentation on. You should definitely help them setup the appointment and give the presentation the first couple of times but after that, they should have the hang of it. Once they have the hang of it, they should be able to teach their new associates what you taught them. That's duplication!

Treat your new associates like new hires, although, they are working for themselves. Let them know they are in business for themselves but they are not by themselves. Know when to direct them to the corporate office instead of you for problems or questions. You want to continue to build a business relationship with your new associate but you do not what to take the role of being their boss.

Internet Marketing vs. Network Marketing

Every since day one of becoming a Pre-Paid Legal Associate I was told over and over again by some of our successful leaders that I had to talk to a lot of people to become success. Now I know exactly what they meant. Talking to people is very important when you are involve in any business really but more important in network marketing. If you do not like talking to people, you should not get involve in a network marking business. You will not make much money if you do not talk to people.

For last year I have been doing more Internet marketing than network marketing and my results have been very low. Not only that, I miss actually talking to people and meeting new people all over the country including Canada folks.

One of my trainers once said that we would never meet her over the Internet, and she does not like prospecting over the Internet because it frustrated her. I agree with her totally. It could be very frustrating and it takes too much work. It you don't have time to do it, leave Internet marketing alone.

Network marketing involves actually talking with people and sharing business ideas and products with them. It's about meeting people and building relationships with them. I really like networking with a lot of people. When you build a relationship with people, it last longer than if you had not build a relationship with them at all.

I see that there is a lot of competion on the Internet. If you advertise your business on the Net, someone then tries to sell you something or tries to get you in their business. It's like if you look at mines, I might look at yours, or mines is better than yours kind of thing. I hate that personally! I'm looking for people who are really open to looking at an opportunity to change there lives, and someone that I can really build a friendship and business relationship with.

There aee a lot of home based business available these days. Some of them are good and some of them our bad. But if you are already involve with a company that you are happy and satisfied with, I would never try to pull you away from it to join my company, and I certainly would not want someone to do that to me.

I have a passion for want I do and the company I am with. I love helping people learn how to make money money from home, and I love to see our service help people with their problems and make their lives better.

This is just something I wanted to say today because I know I need to get back on the roll of picking up the phone and calling people who want help, and who are looking for a way to make money from home because they want to stay home with their kids or elderly parents, or they want more money for other things besides just making a living. How about money for a family vacation that they get to take this year because the money wasn't there? How about money to give to their elderly parents to make life easier for them? How about money to send their kids to the best schools or colleges?...

More money could mean a lot of different things for a lot of different people. What would it to for you?

It's true there are many ways you can make money from home but I've found that the best way is to find a company that YOU like and believe in and stick with it. Research And Questions Can Help You Make Money Online

By studying how other people make money on the internet and asking some questions, you will likely discover that you can make money online too.

People make money online with all kinds of different items from physical goods that are delivered to the customers to information and services. There's ebooks, works of art or writings, affiliate products and the like. You can even start up your own non profit organization and help other people. Non profit organizations can pay they employees of the company (i.e. you) but not make any money after expenses. If you're earning a wage, it's still money in your pocket, it's just not called profit. If your life long dream was to help any particular group, this might be the most rewarding for you.

The key to writing effective autoresponders is to have a clear objective from the beginning. Since autoresponders are being sent to those who are interested in your goods and services, chances are they have already visited your site or have made a purchase in the past. Autoresponders are a way to earn repeat business or to sell a new product. They should not be long and they should have a point that is easy to understand.

While many people use autoresponders as a way to reach a large number of people without having to send each person on their mailing list a personal message, you should keep in mind that automated messages do not sell products. Even though your message will be read by thousands of people, making each of them feel special is the goal. Those who receive your message should feel like it was to them from you personally. When writing your message, use a conversational tone. Always include your full name, your company name, and URL so customers can click on it easily when they want to visit your site. Your message should only be one or two paragraphs in length and should mention your web site once or twice.

Don't use autoresponders to plug everyday products. This is a waste of time and if those on your email list receive too many messages, they will want to opt out. Save autoresponders for holidays, special sales, new products launches, or any other time you have something important to say.

In your opening paragraph, introduce your product. Tell the customer when it is available and where they can find it. Since most people do not take the time to read entire emails from companies and small businesses, you should include contact information in the beginning and at the end of your message. After sending autoresponders, track their progress to see how many hits you receive as a result. If your message was effective, you will experience an increase in business a few hours after sending the message. Give it a few days to measure the success of your autoresponder.
