From the time I was very young, I've always loved anything to do with electronics, technology, etc. I knew early on that I would have a career dealing with computers, engineering, and other technology-related fields. I was right! I absolutely love my job, especially the stuff I do with computers. Everyone is always asking me how I know so much about them, and I just tell them it's something I've always loved and it really just comes naturally to me. Whether it be a vlc download or something else, it just sticks with me and makes me eager to learn more about all the technology around us.

Playing the Cymbals

I've been reminiscing about my younger years a lot recently. I don't know if it's because I have a birthday coming up and will be a year older or what, but I sure miss some things from the good ol' high school days. I used to be in band and really enjoyed that. I played the saxophone, but also did a little bit with the drums and Meinl cymbals as well. It was a lot of fun! I actually would love to get back into doing something like that again. The cymbals were so much fun! Marching with them was not easy, but it was still a really neat time. Those were the days!

As I get older, I become more and more interested in investing. My Grandpa was great with money and had even purchased rare coins which were worth a lot of money when he passed away. My dad loves to do this too! I want to do the same. I've been looking to buy gold online, and although I haven't decided what I'm going to do quite yet, it's exciting to think what a great investment opportunity it could be. Thanks to the Internet we're able to look into things like this much easier. I so appreciate it.

Instrument Upkeep

For those who know me, they know I've always been into music. From the time I was very young, I enjoyed playing several different instruments... including the guitar, saxophone and piano. The thing with instruments is, they need to be kept up and looking great. I had a friend who played the cymbals and he needed to keep them clean. I don't think he knew about paiste cymbals cleaner, but that's something that would have really helped him out a lot. Me on the other hand, I probably should have took better care of my instruments as well. I still have them to this day, but they would look much nicer had I kept them up better.

Basement Remodel

My parents recently moved to a new home after owning the same one for almost 30 years. It was a big adjustment for them, but they are loving it..and their new town. The house was recently built, so there is some work to be done, including the basement. My dad did our basement in the house I grew up in, so I know he can do this one too. It's actually kind of nice, as they'll be able to make it just the way they want. He's getting started and getting together all the supplies...things like thumb screws, drills, wood, etc. I'm looking forward to seeing the progress each time I go back home.

Today we celebrated my nephews second birthday. His birthday was actually in December, but the day before his birthday he came down with strep throat and the party had to be cancelled. It was fun that we could still all get together and enjoy this time together. I got to see all of my nephews and my niece. It was a really special time spent with family. I'm looking forward to having kids of my own down the road and getting to share in this time with them too.

Everyday I'm reminded of how thankful I am for technology. Whether it be for my job or personal use, I find myself using technology...specifically the Internet on a daily basis. I am online a lot and always try to stay current on the latest POS Hardware, products and ideas out there. I enjoy keeping myself and family, friends, coworkers, etc up to date on all that is going on in the tech field. It's an interest of mine and always has been. I'm so thankful for technology, especially the Internet which makes it easy for me to stay connected and up to date on all that's going on in our world around us.

I was in our local department store a couple of weeks ago and saw school supplies already. It wasn't even August yet and school supplies were already out. Can you believe it?!? Now we're well into August and many teachers are actually going back to school already. That means lots of people are getting geared up for the school year...and for many, that means school supplies shopping. I remember going along with my mom at the beginning of each school year. It was quite an expensive shopping trip. That's why it's nice that there are discount school supply coupons
out there for parents to take advantage of. I know I will be someday when I have school aged children.

My girlfriend and I have been talking about engagement and getting married. I am not sure exactly when it will be, but it will be within the next year I think. Along with details about the wedding, we were talking about rings and I was wondering how to find my ring size. I guess you can go online and figure it out. It seems you can figure pretty much everything out online these days. What did we do before computers? I can hardly remember. Anyways...I think we've found the rings we both want. Now it's just a matter of ordering them.
