After getting his heart broken by Jen, Dawson sits by his window staring at her house and moping. Joey tells him to get over it but he tells her that he can't. Meanwhile, Billy sneaks into Jen's room upon hearing that she broke up with Dawson. Unsure that she was clear enough for Billy, Jen tells Billy that nothing will ever happen between them because she is not the same girl she was in New York.

Billy decides to pay Dawson a visit at Capeside high in a whole misery loves company move and explains that they now have something in common: both were left broken-hearted by the same girl. Billy tells Dawson that they need to get their minds off of Jen and proposes a road trip to Providence. Dawson agrees hoping that it would take his mind off of Jen. Pacey sees Dawson getting ready to leave and decides to follow and join in.

Joey was given a ride to school by football star, Warren, who claims no strings attatch along with the ride to school. Joey finds out later from Jen that warren used the car ride to fuel his rumor that he had slept with Joey. Joey is broken down at the thought that everyone thinks she lost her virginity to Warren and Jen proposes revenge.

Her plan: to convince everyone that warren got her pregnant and left her. So that he would get ragged on by his peers. It worked until Joey got some unwanted attention from the school nurse and Joey thought warren went through enough.

Josh Jackson Goes "Beyond the Fringe"

With "Fringe" set to return tonight to FOX for this, its fourth season, fans of the genre hit received an extra dash of excitement -- and adrenaline -- earlier this week when DC Entertainment released the first issue of its new digital comic series "Beyond the Fringe." Set deep within the mythos of the TV series created by sci-fi/fantasy heavyweights J.J. Abrams ("Lost"), Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci ("Cowboys & Aliens"), "Beyond the Fringe" is written by the show's star Josh Jackson, better known to fans as Peter Bishop.

CBR News spoke with Jackson following the release of the first issue of a scheduled three-issue arc, titled "Peter and the Machine," and found that the actor's venture into comic book writing is more than a publicity stunt. Jackson is genuinely touched by the fan support "Fringe" receives and has become so attached to Peter, he's dreamt up "tons and tons and tons" of story ideas and plot points to further flesh out the character.

"Beyond the Fringe" has provided Jackson with an avenue to share some of those ideas and he's eager to see how fans react. His story is set squarely between the pages of the script for last season's cliffhanger and without the restraints of a production budget, Jackson takes readers to places that even Walter Bishop would find unimaginable. Beyond the comic, Jackson also teased what's to come in tonight's season premiere and how life on the fringe changes without Peter Bishop holding court. CBR News: First off, congratulations on your first writing gig.

How did this come about?
Joshua Jackson: We haven't done it every season, but for three out of the four, we've done this limited run of comics. I'm not sure who came up with the idea to ask me if I wanted to do it, but when they did, I pitched them this idea, It's a bigger idea than just one comic, so it ended growing from just one to three issues. And now I'm a comic book writer. [Laughs] And while I don't think anyone is going to confuse me with one of the all-time greats, it's actually been a really fun process.

When you were growing up, were you a comic book reader?
Jackson's "Fringe" comic takes place "between the pages" of the Season 3 finale's script Is there a single guy from my generation who didn't read comics?

Only in Canada could you buy your comic books and your hockey cards at the same place. The store, which was a weekly hangout, was right next to Sophie's Café and that was the place to be. I just read the first issue, and it's a lot of fun. It answers a lot of questions that many fans of the show didn't think would ever be answered. Plus, you come-face to-face with an apatosaurus, which obviously would have been a pretty expensive shoot had it happened on the show.

Joshua Jackson: Right. Well, that's it, exactly. Because it's a comic book, you can do bigger things than we can achieve on the show, budget-wise and scheduling-wise. But what was more interesting to me, other than big action scenes, was that I really think that the cliffhanger we had at the end of the last season was a really cool story point. When they gave me the opportunity, the story I thought would be most interesting to explore was diving right back into that moment. Well, actually, first I thought I would tell the story of Peter before he became part of Fringe. But then I thought, we're kind of past that point. Now I think the most interesting point is explaining some of the pieces of how the story got to where it was by the end of last season. And what Peter's part in all of that was.

You haven't done any other writing before, comic book or otherwise, have you?

Joshua Jackson: No, this is my published debut. And I'm not going to lie; I had hand-holders, because while I have written things for myself, they've never been published. Writing for comics is a very different thing, so I worked over the story with a couple of people, and they sort of helped me turn the idea into a comic. It was actually a really fun process, especially going through the co-editing process of really looking at every panel and deciding, "Okay. This panel has to do that. And that one has to do this."

There's no wasted space. Every panel has to have a purpose, and as a writer, you have to be really concise about the ideas you are trying to get across. Have you been hounding Bob [Roberto Orci] and Alex [Kurtzman] ever since to let you in the writers' room and join the writing staff?

Joshua Jackson: [Laughs] Yeah, they've created a monster.

I'm not sure how much input you have in terms of Peter's dialogue as an actor, but how much did you enjoy scripting your character in the comic? Was it difficult to find Peter's voice?

Joshua Jackson: That was really the draw for me. After playing the character for so long, I have tons and tons and tons of ideas about who this guy is. To actually be given an avenue to play some of these scenarios out is amazing. I just had a conversation with the guys about this, but it's so cool that they are allowing the story I came up with to be part of the grand mythology of "Fringe." That's the reason I wanted to do this, more than anything. I have all of these ideas I wanted to share, but the story of "Fringe" is not the story of Peter. It's the story of "Fringe." There will be no other avenue for these stories to be told, so it's nice to have a place to put them.

Did you like how you were drawn by Jorge Jimenez?

Joshua Jackson: [Laughs] I look like me, which is a solid upgrade from a couple of the previous "Fringe" comics.

How much fun is it to be a part of show where the fans are so into it, you have to make comic books to expand the universe?

Joshua Jackson: It's a beautiful benefit that you can't possibly believe. It's hard to describe. I have been working for a long, long time. I've done some good things. I've done some not so good things. I've done things that I thought were good that didn't get an audience and I've done some things that were kind of mediocre that got a huge audience. There is a lot of different ways these things come out. But "Fringe" is a really particular show in that it's not a hugely popular show, but the people that are into it are really super-dedicated. As an actor, and I think the writers and the producers would say the same thing, it's about the best fan relationship you could have because you know the people that are taking it in and actually give a shit. They're not just flipping through channels.

Your comic ties into last season's cliffhanger. It's been a long summer, so for those who can't remember how the season ended, or for those who were perhaps a bit confused following the series-changing events, what's happening with Peter when Season 4 starts?

Joshua Jackson: When the season opens, we're dealing with the post-script of our cliffhanger, which we've been building towards for three seasons, with two alternate universes destroying each other slowly over time. It was Walter's original sin of bringing Peter across which was the reason for these two worlds falling apart. At the end of last season, Peter recognizes that he is the problem and sacrifices himself to save the universe -- but mostly to save his dad, save his girl and save the people that he cares about. The repercussions are that they get to live and he doesn't. The first big section of this season is our world without Peter and what happens when this guy makes this sacrifice. All of sudden, he's just erased from time, completely. For me, that's why getting into the comic was so much fun. I get to tell the pieces of the story that we didn't have time to tell, or just decided not to tell, last season.

Like how the doomsday machine came to be and what the choice was that Peter actually made. If Peter no longer exists, what role does he play in the show when the season opens?

Joshua Jackson: Premiere night, I get to play audience member. [Laughs] The writers live by the sword and they die by sword. We made a strong choice at the end of last season, and that choice has to be followed through. When we start the season, there will definitely be less of Peter, but in a very natural and organic way. The story is going off in a different direction and the characters all have very different dynamics now. Without Peter around, Olivia has had to become more of a caretaker of Walter. They've actually grown closer, but Walter is much more fragile. And without Peter around, Olivia is single. Lincoln is on the scene now. Astrid is out of the lab, finally. She's more of a field agent. Broyles is still pretty much a hard ass but beyond that, it's all new!

The much-anticipated So You Think You Can Dance finale is finally upon us, and rounding out an action-packed season are celebrity guest judges Katie Holmes and Kenny Ortega.

Although Katie is best known for her television and movie roles, she has an extensive background in theater and dance. She made her Broadway debut in 2008 in All my Sons and is a founding member of Nigel Lythgoe's Dizzy Feet Foundation.

Kenny Ortega, who directed all the High School Musical films, has worked with everyone in the biz from Gene Kelly to Michael Jackson. In 2009, he began working on Michael's international This Is It tour, and directed the This Is It documentary after Michael's death.

The SYTYCD Season 8 finale airs next Wednesday, August 10 in a two-hour live episode starting at 8 p.m. ET on FOX.

According to reports in Grazia magazine he had become concerned after seeing recent photographs of the working mother looking gaunt and tired, with black circles under her eyes.

'Katie has been looking skinny and depressed and, like any concerned friend, rather than do nothing Joshua wanted to check everything was OK,' the source told the magazine. 'They haven't spoken in a while and, naturally, he was worried.

'So he just decided to drop by. It was really sweet, he just turned up unexpectedly with a bunch of flowers and said: 'Hello stranger.' Katie was shocked, but so happy to see him. It was a wonderful surprise. She gave him such a big hug.'

It opens with a frustrated Dawson bored with everything but old classic movies, where the guy could be a total geek and still get the girl, and an exhausted Joey who is suffering to sleep depreviation due to the new addition to the potter home: Alexander. Pacey complains that capeside is a snooze fest and nothing exciting ever happens when a rugged guy from New York speeds by asking for directions to Capeside High. The guy happens to be Jen's Ex-boyfriend from New York: Billy and He is not over her and Dawson agrees to let him stay with him until morning. Mitch and Gail still struggle with their relationship.

Pacey confronts Joey about her feelings for Dawson and the real reason she's excited to see Jen's ex-boyfriend in town.

Pacey: You know, I really don't know, but if Jen did ditch Dawson for Billy the Kid, wouldn't that please a certain someone we both know?

Joey: Look you know me, Pacey, I'm not one to stand in the way of true love. But if Jen has a connection to this guy, which seems like she does, you know, what can we do about it?

Pacey: Look, Joey, I've never really taken a particular interest in your life *he stands up* cuz frankly your life has never been particularily interesting but there is one thing I need to know. You're really, really enjoying the fact that Jen's ex is in town, aren't you?

Joey: Well, it's intriguing, Pacey, I mean, even you have to admit that.

Pacey: But you know what? This is the wedge you've been waiting for that's going to drive Jen and Dawson apart, right?

Joey: No, Pacey, you're such... it's not like that at all. You don't know what you're talking about.

Pacey: See, the three of us have been friends too long and up until now, I've just kind of stood idly by and watched this all go down. But it's time to lay this on the line, okay? You have some raging hormonal obsession for our friend Dawson and you just can't wait to get your hooks into him but good, can you? Huh?

Joey: Bite me, Pacey.

Pacey: Busted.

Pacey tries to convince Joey to join him at Cliff's Party. She declines listing the litany of things she must do but Pacey counters with "Dawson will be there, alone." Bessie agrees that Joey needs to go have some fun and tells her to go on.

Pacey and Joey Moment:

Pacey: Not that I care, but you may want to pace yourself with this stuff.

Joey: *trying to lean against him* Pacey, I know I don't say it enough but you're a really terrific friend.
Pacey: *pushing her away* Ah, ok, thanks, yeah

Joey: Come on, please leave, Pacey.

Pacey: *grabs the Blond Guy away from Joey* Alright, cowboy. Party's over.
*The Blond Guy tries to hit Pacey but Pacey knocks him to the ground*

Dawson talks to a drunken Joey and says that he's sorry that he wasn't there for her and he will be when she needs him to so that she doesn't have to handle everything by herself. Joey Kisses him.

Pacey tries to find a way to quiet the baby down and remembers what Joey had told him about the English patient and starts reinacting the movie.

Pacey: So then, the guy who ends up being the English Patient and the girl, they're stranded in the cave. And she looks up at him.*with a British accent* She's like oh, please don't leave me. Promise me, you'll come back someday. And he turns around. Hey, hey, listen, listen to this, he turns around and he's like don't worry, darling, I'll come back for you, unless of course, my plane is shot down by Nazis and my face is burned beyond recognization after cutting off William Dafoe's fingers.

Mitch and Gail talk about their relationship and decide that it's not new things that is going to mend it. They need to go into the past that brought them together in the first place and they share a dance.

Dawson dishes to Pacey about Joey's odd behavior and exclaims, "Joey was so out of it."

Dawson: she kissed me
Pacey: Wait, wait. She kissed you?
Dawson: Yeah.
Pacey: She kissed you like an aunt on Thanksgiving kiss or she *kissed* you?

Jen: To what? Dawson, I'm sixteen, I've, I've never stayed home on a Saturday night. i've never gone stag to a school dance. I mean, I'm pretty, I'm lucky, I'm fortunate and I am still way too unhappy most of the time. I told Billy today that it was over with us.
Dawson: I know. He told me.
Jen: And now I have to say the same thing to you.

It's only a short distance from his New York pad, they note. So all he had to do was nip down the ladder from his bedroom window and swim the creek.

Katie Holmes can count on one familiar face in the audience of All My Sons besides Victoria Beckham: Her former Dawson's Creek co-star Joshua Jackson!

Asked at Monday's NYC Fringe premiere if he'll see Holmes on Broadway, he told reporters: "Of course! Of course!"

But he said he doesn't really keep in touch with his Creek co-stars.

"How often do you talk to your college friends?" he asked reporters. "I mean, I talk to Michelle [Williams] every once in a while. I talk to Busy [Philipps], who is just about to have a baby, every once in a while."

Meanwhile, Jackson said he recently moved in with his girlfriend, Diane Kruger, in NYC.

It opens with Dawson and Joey watching a movie where a girl has to choose between two guys. She chooses the guy with the fastest car therefore leading them to race. Dawson finds this to be too unrealistic and Joey protests. When he claims that Pacey and himself do not go around competing all the time, Joey replies with "You don't like to lose. Pacey has bigger biceps." This sets Dawson against Pacey and in indirect competition due to Dawson's insecurities that Jen does not find him desirable.

Pacey discloses to Jen that Dawson's nickname growing up was Oompa-Loompa.

Soon, each Capeside kid finds themselves in detention.

Jen disagrees with her teacher about perspectives of Euthanasia. She then uses the "bitch" word in frustration and is sent to Saturday detention.

Joey hits a jock after he tells her she must be in service to him.

Dawson, out of jealousy and his frustrations with Jen, throws a basketball at Pacey's face as he was trying to get the cheerleaders' attention.

Pacey is not telling what he did to get him in detention. Abbie tells the group she's in detention due to a estacy gang-bang in the boys locker room.

After boredom sets in,

Abbie suggests a game: Truth or Dare.

Abbie asks Pacey. Pacey after getting truth and asked why he was in detention decides he'll go with Dare. His dare was to kiss Jen for 10 seconds.

Pacey asks Joey. When Joey picks truth, he asks her who is she in love with. When Joey decides not to answer and go for dare, Pacey dares her to kiss Dawson for 15 seconds.

Joey asks Jen if Dawson was the one she was most attracted to and after an argument erupts between Jen and Joey, Dawson decides it's time for a Jail break. Jen thinks a new game, guess my butt, will lighten the mood between the group but it backfires when Dawson and Pacey get into an argument. Dawson and Pacey decide the only way to settle things is a basketball game. Winner gets bragging rights and if the winner is Dawson, Pacey has to disclose why he is in detention.

While the boys are competing on the court, Joey competes with Jen off the court. Abby enlightens Jen about Joey's feelings for Dawson. Joey struggles with hating Jen because she's so nice. Abbie announces that they've overstayed their time in the Gym and have to get back. They return to see Mrs. Tringle waiting for them. Because they left the room, Mrs. Tringle makes them call cards. When they finish, Mrs. Tringle enlightens the group to the real reason Abbie is in detention: excessive tardiness.

Dawson and Joey open up to the group. Dawson talks about being a virgin and his insecurities. Pacey discloses his reason for being in detention: getting excited due to the cheerleaders being nice to him, and trying to relieve the tention in the bathroom but not soon before the coach got an eyefull. Jen tries to reassure Dawson that she does want to be with him. Joey breaks down while Dawson tries to talk to her and comfort her. She expresses thtat she has strong feelings but cannot tell Dawson about it. Dawson says things between them will not change but Joey knows it will. Mrs. Tringle returns telling the gang, "You have served your detention."

Pacey and Joey Moment:

The Truth and Dare scene. Where Joey insists on Pacey kissing Jen because she wants to hurt Dawson and Pacey is aware of it. Pacey returns to her after the kiss and tries to get her to admit her feelings for Dawson.

The way they play with each other in that scene hints at the wonderful chemistry they have with each other but don't know yet.

Dawson's and Joey's very first kiss takes place in this episode.

Someone mentions Emilio Estevez in The Breakfast Club (1985) and Pacey ('Joshua Jackson' ) says, "He was in those Mighty Ducks movies. I love those movies." Joshua Jackson was in the main character in the Mighty Ducks movies (The Mighty Ducks (1992).

Kevin Williamson created the character Mrs. Tringle based on an English teacher whom he'd had in real life who had a very negative impact on him. She was the basis for his villainous character in the movie Teaching Mrs. Tingle (1999), in which Katie Holmes also starred.

DVD Summary: Joey's sister goes into labor and there's no one to help but Jen's disapproving grandma, who uses the opportunity to persuade Jen to believe in God. Another student overhears Pacey telling Dawson about his affair with Miss Jacobs, and the rumor spreads like wildfire.

My Recap:

Movie night gets too complicated as joey wants to leave due to being uncomfortable around Jenn and Jenn can't stay if Joey leaves. So the solution becomes they both leave and movie night only consists of Dawson.

Pacey wants to pursue a real relationship with Tamara including going out in public. When he tells Dawson, in the school bathroom, that she may consider it, another student overhears and spreads it across the school.

In an attempt at damage control, Pacey takes Dawson's advice of Letting the students comments roll of his shoulder in hopes that it will not get back to Tamara. Unfortunately this doesn't work as his classmates crack jokes about Pacey and Tamara's inappropriate relationship. Joey comforts Pacey and realizes they have something in common providing gossip to the small town people. When she returns home, she finds her sister going into labor. They both row their way to Dawson's house and her sister finds herself in the hands of two teenagers: Dawson and Joey.

Pacey and Tamara argue about word getting out about their relationship. Pacey swears he's not to blame but Tamara tells him that the only boundary that she had on the relationship was that they didn't talk about it and wonders if he's not adult enough to deal with it. She breaks up with him. Meanwhile, Joey turns to Grams' for help when she realizes helping her sister, Bessie, deliver the baby is something her and Dawson cannot handle. Grams agrees.

Pacey has to deal with his brothers condescending comments when word about his relationship with Tamara reaches him. It is then Pacey finds out that the school board is recommending that charges be brought to Tamara. Pacey denies the aligation that Tamara had a physical relationship to the school board. Tamara decides to resign shortly after.

Bessie's birth causes concern for Jenn and Grams as she is losing way too much blood. Grams uses this moment to get Jenn to Pray. Joey has a hard time with seeing Bessie in pain and leaves the house because Bessie reminds her too much of her mother.

She talks to Dawson about how she dealt with her mother's pain that resulted from cancer. Dawson asks her why she stood by her and she responded that her mother needed her. Dawson says, "What makes you think that Bessie needs you any less." Bessie has a boy, named alexander.

Pacey and Tamara say goodbye as Tamara's resignation includes leaving capeside and going to Rodchester.

DVD Summary: A hurricane hits Capeside, but the damage it causes is nothing compared to the destruction left behind from the emotional storms that are about to erupt in the lives of its citizens. Can there possibly be a rainbow at the end of it all?

My Recap: Due to inclimate weather, all distractions are postphone, work and school are cancelled until the storm is through. But, the storm brings hidden secrets to surface for the Leery family and tensions are high for capeside. (This is such a powerful episode)

Dawson finds it difficult to deal with his mother's secret rhomps with her co-anchorman, Bob. Mr. Leery decides to invite Jenn and Grams to ride the storm out. Pacey is forced to help his brother, Doug, out with securing capeside. He does have a little fun poking at Doug's sexuality, trying to get him to admit that he's gay. Also, Joey convinces her sister and Bodie to stay at Dawson's for the remainder of the storm. Also, a relunctant grams and Jenn take salvage. Even with knowledge that Joey and Dawson are aware of her unfaithfulness, Mrs. Leery still continues on with her extramarital relationship.

As Jenn tries to help Dawson cope, she suffers from dawson's "verbal vomit" and insecurity as he criticizes her for her past and sexual relations with multiple partners. Joey does no better at conforting him as he wants nothing to do with her because he feels betrayed that she didn't disclose dawson's mother unfaithfulness. After Dawson calls her out, Mrs. Leery discloses to Joey, that she is ending her relationship with Bob.

Pacey get's to Mrs. Jacobs house as he realizes Doug is already there securing the place. He is stuck with him as they all stay at Mrs. Jacobs house for refuge and her safety. He tries to make the best of it even though it's hard to hide his jealousy as Doug begins flirting with her and he reveals to her that his brother is a closet gay.

Mrs. Leery finally comes clean to Mitch (Mr. Leery). "What Iam saying is for the past two months, for the past 62 days, every time that I've come home late, every time that I've made an excuse to leave this house, every time that I haven't been with you I have been with someone else, another man, having sex with another man."

Mitch responds with silence and then mumbles around for batteries,which when he does lash out in anger throwing everything on the floor, Gale (Mrs. Leery) is taken back by it and cries. Mitch responds, "Don't you cry. You don't get to cry."

(This scene is amazingly accurate and John Wesley Shipp performs so well in this scene with Mary-Margaret Humes. It's so emotionally driven.)

Mitch reveals to Gale that he chooses not to love her anymore but instead to hate her. The next morning it is revealed that Hurricane Christopher has fled capeside but not without causing some damage emotionally in its residents. Dawson apologizes to Jenn about his behavior after Jenn reveals most of her past to him. Pacey returns to Tamara's house after he and his brother left. He reveals that he is falling in love with her and that he's jealous of everyone because he cannot be out in the open with their relationship.

Mitch and Gale talk about her reason's for cheating on him. Gale reveals that she "wants everything she's lost." Mitch replies, "Let's just sit here. I don't want to talk no more." Dawson finds Joey and patches up their friendship resorting back to a child activity in order to restore it.

Katie Holmes has gone from girl-next-door to a desinger's dream celeb in just a few years. Her sophisticated and classic sense of style have earned her a place among Hollywood's best dressed.

Katie started out her career as preppy girl Joey Potter in Dawson's Creek and her fashion sense off the screen wasn't a million miles away from her character's immature, girly look.

Since beginning a high profile relationship with Tom Cruise- Katie's fame has rocketted which has meant she has had to adopt a more sophisticated and glamorous wardrobe to match.

Katie's style is very classic and elegant. She loves fashion but stays away from anything that will make her stand out too much or look like she's tried to hard.

She loves to wear great classic tailoring with an asymetric twist to give it an edge. This is a look that is very popular at the moment with designers like Roland Mouret, Ann Sofie Back and Stella McCartney adding extra seams and pleats all over the place.

Katie is also a fan of the classic Mac and often teams a long coat with simple jeans for a daytime look.

Katie's formal evening look is also very classic. She is usually seen a feminie full length floaty gown with only a little detailing and no fuss. One of her favourite designers in Caroline Herrera who is known for classic lady-like designs.

Katie likes to stick to simple colour schemes and rarely wears fussy patterns or prints. Red is a great colour for her complexion and hair colour and she knows how to work it.

So although she may have been a slow starter when it game to fashion game we think Katie has more than made up for it over the past few years and is definitely worthy of a place in our style icon hall of fame!

Fringe star Jackson is true to his Vancouver roots

Vancouver actor Joshua Jackson, who stars in Fox's new drama Fringe, has played many roles but he is best known for playing the angst-riddled teen Pacey Witter in the long-running TV series Dawson's Creek.

Once described as a teen heartthrob, the 29-year-old actor, who is of Irish descent, was born here but spent the first eight years of his life in California before returning to Canada.

At age 11, Jackson decided to pursue acting, according to the movie database, imdb.com. Knowing how cruel an acting career can be, his mother, a casting director, took him to his first audition in hopes of discouraging him. Instead, he landed a commercial for potato chips. Since then, he has had a career ranging from theatre to television.

The junior leading man who has squired Katie Holmes and German beauty Diane Kruger has dual Canadian/U.S. citizenship. He moved to Los Angeles when his parents split up, an experience he described as being very traumatic. "And then after, it was just me, my sister and my mother and we went at it alone," he is quoted as saying in the database. "I went from being a very well-off little kid to having a couple rough years, to rebuilding. My mother did that. She and I are very close."

Last year, in the film One Week, he portrayed a cancer sufferer who rides from Toronto to Tofino on a 1973 Norton Commando 850 motorcycle.

"I couldn't have taken this job I don't think if I didn't know how to ride a motorcycle because nine-tenths of the film is on the bike and about what being on a road trip is and feels like," Jackson said in an interview on the movie's Toronto set.

In an interview last year with The Observer in the U.K., Jackson had this to say about male/female relations: "There'll always be sexual tension between male and female friends -- we're animals after all, wired to accept each other on a sexual level at all times. Of course we all agree to a variety of social restraints, but it doesn't mean the basic impulses aren't there and I don't think sex is an unhealthy impulse. Part of post-feminism is women taking responsibility for themselves, and for what makes them happy. There's more progress to be made, but I don't think many of us are raised with sexist ideas about women any more. I think we're moving towards equality."

Finally, he was quoted as saying, "I love Vancouver. I can be with my family. I can reconnect with the guys. It will always be my home."

S1E4, Discovery (Carnal Knowledge)

Dvd Summary: The script of Dawson's life is being totally rewritten and he's in for a major reality check--can he handle it? In the meantime, Pacey gets a reality check of his own when, overcome with jealousy, he confronts Miss Jacobs regarding her relationship with Mr. Gold.

My Recap: Dawson view the tape for his previous shoots and realizes he's got a little more than he bargained for, after remembering he left the camera running in the process of his great escape, when he finds Miss Jacobs having sex with another person on his tape. When they break the news to Pacey, Pacey starts to freak out when he thinks his secret might be let out of the bag. Grams starts to question Jenn about her relationship with Dawson afraid Jenn has taken a step back into her past.

Pacey: Hey, Dawson, I think I should get to take a look at that tape.
Dawson: Sure. We'll arrange a private screening for you.
Joey: Yeah, so you can flog the bishop in privacy.

Dawson returns home only to find Pacey trashing his room in an effort to secure the tape. When Dawson confronts Pacey on it, Pacey let's Dawson in on his secret. Joey accompanies Dawson in his search to find his parents an aniversary gift. There, they run into Dawson's mother and her co-worker, Bob. Dawson continues to work on his movie when they go to his mother's work to work on Jenn's shriek, they discover his mother kissing Bob.

Jenn tries to confort Dawson but he shuts her out and turns to Joey. He becomes angry at her, though, when he finds out that Joey knew about the affair the whole time and kept the information from him. He believes she was not acting as a friend and may have tore their friendship apart.

Pacey struggles with his jealousy as he sees Miss Jacobs hanging around Mr. Gold and Dawson decides to talk to Jenn, afterall. He's not ready when Jenn reveals her secret past to him. He is taken back by the fact that Jenn doesn't live up to the pedastol he has put her on. Dawson feels betrayed by all the women in his life. Pacey confronts Miss Jacobs about his insecurities and jelousy.

Dawson talks to Pacey about Jenn's past and Pacey tries to assure him that things aren't as bad as he thinks and that no one should be put on a pedastol and to take things as they are. Dawson decides as he talks to pacey about his parents, that he will not confront his mother about her affair but to tell his dad. He then bails when his mother enters the room. Feeling hurt about Dawson pushing her away, Jenn turns to Joey for advice. Joey finds Dawson and tries to mend their hurt friendship and warn him about messing things up with Jenn.

S1E3, Kiss (A Prelude to A Kiss)

Dvd Summary: While Dawson continues to swoon over Jen, Joey finds a nice distraction when she meets a cute guy with a sailboat and gets her first kiss. Dawson finally locks lips with Jen, but while both he and Joey are having their first kiss, Pacey is getting his first taste of a more adult form of affection.

My Recap:

Dawson, a romantic at heart, envisions his first kiss with Jenn as only celluloid and its movie magic can offer. Joey disagrees and says you cannot plan your first kiss and it's not how it is in the movies. Dawson calls her cynical and Joey wonders where his inner cynic has gone. Dawson tries to help the film class salvage their film. Pacey discovers from Miss Jacobs that he's failing across the board and tries to get some private tutoring lessions from Miss Jacobs.

Joey begins to notices a guy who own's a sailboat. When she decides to take a break and hears him play she chats him up and pretends to be Debroah Carson, a daughter of a wealthy family to keep his attention. As Pacey begins to succeed and begs Miss Jacobs for a reward, Miss Jacobs points out his sexual inexperience. Joey gets a chance at a romantic movie-like first kiss with Anderson on the beach when she goes sailing with him but checks out. Nevertheless, she does manage to get her first kiss with him but only after giving away her secret that she's not who she says she its.

Dawson, after almost ruining his first kiss, sneaks away to a corner with Jenn to hide when they believe the owners have returned to their land leaving them vulnerable to trespassing charges. Meanwhile Pacey is running around playfully with Miss Jacobs (without anyone the wiser). Dawson finally gets his kiss with Jenn when he doesn't try so hard to force it and Pacey he gets more than a kiss when he loses his virginity to Miss Jacobs.
