I turned 50 on the 4th, and it dawned on me I've been in class for 10 years, and still no Bachelors degree. Oh well. I wouldn't do it if I didn't love it.  Last week's assignment in drawing was to do a composite. This drawing is actually taken from bits of three photos. I like it even if the professor didn't. I just lucked out

Well, today starts another semester. One drawing class, and a watercolor painting course. It's good to be mixing it up again. I haven't touched a pencil in a year. As I look over my past work, I see stuffy, pretentious, forced drawings. They make me mad. People say, "Drawing really isn't your thing." Why???? I work my ass off on these things!!!!! My kitchen smells amazing! The sprigs of Cilantro and Parsley are in the dehydrator, and that is always a good thing! But what I am really happy about are the mints. I have two beautiful windowsill pots of banana mint and peppermint. They got a judicious pruning since they were beginning to overgrow their confinements.

Well,  Looks like the warmer weather may be upon us soon. This has been the  weirdest weather ever this year! And it is still plaguing the nation.  They will be in my prayers for quite a while.
My  daughter graduated from college this month, and I was pleased as punch  to see her take that walk to get her sheepskin! I don't know where she  is headed from here, but I know she will excel no matter

My professor says the happy fellow should be a mask, with something else lurking behind it in the form of a bust. This idea sounds really appealing to me, except I'm not really sure what that bust should be. I do have a couple of half-baked ideas, nothing concrete.

It was a very cool, dry summer. In a rainforest, this is not necessarily good news! Now my lemon tree is going through a second growth spurt for the year! So is my hibiscus.
