Just a few HIDDEN costs of Acorn's Professional Advice to Pimps work:

One foster care child (born to a prostitute/slave/) might be seized because of post birth evidence the child has drugs alcohol damage from Mom.

There are the thousands of dollars in medical care, (usually much more money spent if the child is on drugs or otherwise damaged in utero!!!) pay for foster care staff, in training & investigating prospective foster care parents, in regular social worker visits and (in some cases) paid supplements for some foster care children till they are adults.

There is an untold EXCESS MEDICAL cost for Acorn encouraging (and not reporting to police) prostitution and child slavery---One child (age 3 at the time) required $100,000 surgery (to date) because of damage MOM inflicted before birth. This damage apparently was inflicted by street Mom in utero!!!

And there is an untold SCHOOL cost because some kids with fetal alcohol syndrom have some attention and learning problems...

UNTOLD MILLIONS that ACORN costs us!!!

What does it take for us to search and support ALTERNATE housing organizations that will have TRANSPARENT governing structures, regular audits by Qualified respected firms, and QUALITY self policing?

Any large organization will have a few bad, rogue employees. The key is to maintain quality accountability and quality ways to purge themselves of the bad persons whether low or high in the structure.

But it seems ACORN(with its years of scandals) is rotten at its heart...They feel no real need to be OPEN, ACCOUNTABLE, and HONEST! Truly a postmodern "charity"!!!

I have to take issue with your post.

First off, you characterize LA gangs as being non-diverse while the LA Times article you link to states "Predominantly African American are the so-called Crip gangs, with 10,306..."

"Predominantly" means most of them are black but not all. Most gangs in LA are not exclusively one race.

As far as the Avenues gang goes, I don't find 30 officers per person unreasonable considering the circumstances. Most of these people are armed and they don't live alone. They also don't live together. Their houses have front and back doors, might be in big apartment buildings, etc.. They may have confederates in the neighborhood who aren't being arrested who are dying to help. So, considering it's a gang, 30 officers per person isn't outrageous. No police were killed so that makes it a successful raid.

Okay, now down to the nitty gritty. How much do you know about the Avenues gang? Reading what you have written, one gets the idea you don't know much about LA gang life at all. If you are going to talk about Avenues, why haven't you mentioned that Toonerville (one of their rivals) has been decimated in recent months with arrests? And Timothy Joseph McGhee (a "non-diverse" white guy running a Mexican gang) was convicted in 2008.

I understand your beef about newspaper reporting being rather haphazard, but your own "copying" has proven to be haphazard too. Should I start an ombudsman site of my own focusing on your website?

That is the store in N. Scottsdale off Frank Lloyd Wright. The last box i saw, i bought in Payson. That was 3 or 4 months ago.

103K NICS checks gives us a lower bound on the number of guns in the last decade. During that time I have purchased many new guns without a NICS checks because I held a concealed carry license. And only one NICS check would be done in the case of multiple guns sold in a single sale.

These politicians voted Against the Nathan Deal Amendment, that would Prevent Health Care Benefits to Illegal Aliens. Simply put--it's not their BLOODY MONEY! So what! Do they care if taxpayers have to foot the behemoth bill, for anybody who snubs our laws and enters a sovereign country called America?
