Bank Holiday Opening & Motorbike Panels

Firstly just a quick update to inform you that we will be shut from Friday 22nd April for the Easter Bank Holiday and reopening on Tuesday 26th. We WILL be OPEN for business as usual on Friday 29th April (The Royal Wedding) and Saturday 30th.

And with the recent summery weather we have had an influx of motorbike panels.

These came in peppered with stone chips picked up on a track day. After the necessary repairs were made the black basecoat was applied and blended into the exsisting black section and then the entire panel was laqured to produce an invisible repair.

This tank was part of a set taken from a 16 year old bike. We had to strip off layers of rattle can paint to eventually expose the original stickers that had been laquered in. After stripping the tank right back we were able to apply a deep black gloss.

Diamond Cut Alloy Wheels

Alloy wheels with a diamond cut finish can be found on many modern Volkswagens, Audis & Fords. Whilst they look attractive they are prone to laquer lifting allowing moisture to become trapped inside causing the alloy to corrode. This leaves the wheel covered in milky looking skabs. Whilst we are unable to recreate the diamond cut finish we can remove all of the laquer and repaint the wheels in the usual alloy wheel silver.

As the rest of the wheels were in good condition & in the intrests of keeping the costs to the customer down rather than removing the tyre completely we have broken the bead to allow us to get good coverage all the way around the lip and masked off the tyre.

Jaguar alloy wheel repair

The wheel here sustained kerb damage during the bad weather at the start of the year. It was brought to us this week for repair.

Seat sill repair

This badly damaged sill let us make full use of our stud welder and slide hammer. Time invested in repairing the metalwork means only a thin skim of filler is required.
