The M4 carbine, the U.S. Military's primary weapon of choice, is known for its solid construction, durability, and sustained reliability, and things are no different with the RAP4 METS.

This marker is designed to replicate the look, feel, and action of the real M4. With features that mimic the M4, such as shell ejection after every shot, magazine fed paintball rounds, and the option of a collapsible or solid stock housing and disguising the CO2 cylinder. The RAP4 METS shoots .43 caliber paintballs which are loaded into alloy or biodegradable plastic shells. The latest improvements to the RAP4 METS line improve accuracy, range, and overall precision of the marker, not to mention the added realism of real-world functionality.

The added realism of the RAP4 comes from the implementation of part of the METS (Military Enhanced Training System) technology. This new feature locks up the trigger when the magazine is emptied, mimicking the standard operation of real-world firearms The RAP4 marker continues to set the standard for real-world paintball markers. With the release of the new updated and enhanced RAP4 METS, the best marker in the world just got better.

RAP4 METS key features include:

- Adjustable for semi- or fully-automatic fire
- Shell casings are ejected after each shot
- Clip-fed 20 round magazine
- Can be fully submerged in water
- Velocity of 350 fps to 450 fps (adjustable)
- All metal construction
- Air power source hidden inside the butt stock
- Simple to operate and easy to maintain

<a href="http://rap4.com/paintball/os/product_info.php?ref=49&products_id=1707&affiliate_banner_id=1" and for Law Enforcement personnel. Although capable of holding up to eight .68 caliber paintball projectiles in its magazine, the Black Hawk Tactical Paintball Pistol is the most compact paintball pistol of its kind.

The magazine holds a 12 gram disposable CO2 cartridge that powers up to twenty four shots before needing replacement. It is highly accurate with a built in regulator that stabilizes paintball velocity under any weather condition, especially during rapid fire. As well, the pistol frame is made of high impact stainless steel, urethane, and aircraft aluminum for the highest durability under rough use.The Black Hawk Tactical Paintball Pistol is the Law Enforcement version of the Tiberius Arms Tac8. This version has increased power - especially necessary for use with non-lethal and less-lethal applications - having a top velocity over 350 feet per second.

What is non-lethal and less-lethal?

Weapons that are explicitly designed and primarily employed so as to incapacitate personnel or material while minimizing fatalities, permanent injury, and/or undesired damage to property and the environment are referred to as non-lethal or less-lethal. This includes such compliance products such as rubber balls, OC Balls, and powder balls.

The Black Hawk Tactical Paintball Pistol is designed to fill a critical gap in the use of force and to provide law enforcement officers and correctional facility guards the safest, most effective non-lethal tools in a variety of applications.

NEW YEAR'S SPECIAL

Black Hawk Tactical Paintball Pistol <s>$279.00</s> $249.99

Black Hawk Tactical Pistol Magazine $49.95

Key Features of the Black Hawk Tactical Paintball Pistol:

- Highly accurate with an advanced regulator- Adjustable velocity 250-350+ fps
- Effective range 75 feet- Maximum range 150 feet
- Consistent performance under all weather condition and under rapid fire
- Quick release barrel for easy cleaning and maintenance
- Light and compact
- Innovative resealing CO2 system
- 8 round, magazine-fed system

FREE hard cover carrying case with foam padded lining.

Package comes with:

1 x Black Hawk Tactical Paintball Pistol
1 x Magazine
1 X Hard cover carrying case

NEW YEAR'S SPECIAL

Black Hawk Tactical Paintball Pistol <s>$279.00</s> $249.99

Black Hawk Tactical Pistol Magazine $49.95

Later,
Lee
Paintball Heroes

Tactical Paintball Vest

http://www.paintballheroes.com

Review of the New RAP4 Tactical Paintball Vest

The new Tactical Paintball Vest can be organized to accommodate paintball pods, standard AR magazine, standard MP5 magazine, all sizes of CO2 cylinders and air tanks (HPA). The dye inside is non-toxic, meaning that if you swallow it, it won't hurt you. However, the taste is not very pleasant.

Paintballs are manufactured by many different companies. As with most things, paintballs can be either low quality, or high quality. Of course, paintballs also come in a variety of colors. Paintballs can also be bought in many different quantities, with just as many variations in price.

Most paintball fields require you to purchase and use their paint. This is one way they make money. Therefore, in most cases, brand and quality of the paint will not be deciding factors.

The best way to determine which brand/quantity/quality of paintballs you should buy is to know how you will be using those paintballs. If you are using the paintballs for practice, you naturally will want to go with the cheapest paintballs. Quality will not matter much in this instance.

If you'll be using the paintballs for recball, again, quality is not quite as important, and you may want to go with the cheapest price. However, if you'll be using the paintballs for tournament play, quality matters a great deal. You want paintballs that won't break easily inside your gun or in transit. At the same time, you do want paintballs that will break easily when they hit an opponent. Many tournaments will require you to use the paint they're selling. Tournament grade balls tend to be resistant to "wiping," meaning that the paint is harder to wipe off. This discourages cheating.

You must also purchase the right size of paintballs for your gun. Paintball sizes are measured in calibers. The most common caliber of the barrel on a paint gun is .68. However, it is important that you check the documentation that comes with your gun to make sure you know the correct caliber of your gun’s barrel, therefore enabling you to purchase the correct caliber paintballs.

Both paintballs and paintball gun barrels range in sizes from .67 to .71 calibers. Just because your gun requires a .68 caliber paintball, does not necessarily mean that this is the best caliber for your gun. Paintballs are not perfectly round. You will need to experiment with different sizes, close to the caliber your gun calls for. It may be that a .67 caliber paintball works best in your gun, even if your barrel bore is .68. An easy test to see if a paintball will work in your gun is to put the ball in one end of the barrel. If it rolls out on its own, it's too small. It is a good fit if you can easily blow it out of the barrel. If you cannot easily blow it out, it's too big.

When choosing the color of your paintballs, it is necessary to consider the playing environment. If you are playing in the woods, bright colors may be preferred, as it's easier to see the paint. Some paintballs glow in the dark. If you're playing at night, this may be what you want.

A few brands of paintballs are made for cold weather playing. They're designed for better performance during the winter months.

Occasionally, paintballs will break inside the barrel of your gun. If this is happening on a regular basis, there may be a problem. It could be the gun. You may have your velocity set too high. The ideal setting for your gun's velocity is about 280 fps (feet per second). You may also break balls in the barrel if you don't keep it clean. Having too much oil or not enough oil in the barrel can cause paintballs to break. As well, too much air pressure, or uneven air pressure, can cause paintballs to break.

If the problem is not the gun, it's the paintballs. The most common problem will be the size of the paintballs you're using. Try using a smaller size. Dirty paintballs can also cause them to break. If your paintball hits the ground, do not use it in your gun. Take the loss.

Cheaper paint breaks more often than quality paint. Old paint breaks more often than new paint. Extreme temperatures also have an effect on your paint. Unless your paint is especially made for cold temperatures, avoid using it or storing it in such conditions. High humidity can also cause problems, by weakening and warping the paintballs. You should throw out paintballs that you have had for three or more months. Paint may also break if you are shooting the gun faster than what your hopper can manage. This is called over shooting the feed.

When storing your paintballs, keep these things in mind. High quality paintballs last longer than low quality when kept in storage. You will need to store your paintballs in a dry area where the temperature does not vary too much. Store paintballs in a sealed container or bag to keep dust and dirt out.

It's a good idea to purchase low quantities of different quality/brand/priced paintballs and try them out to see which one works best for you and your paintball gun.

Later,
Lee
Paintball Heroes

Tactical Paintball Gun

http://www.PaintballHeroes.com

Get Real Life Experience With This Tactical Paintball Gun!

Real Action Paintball just sent me a notice about the T68 CQB (Close Quarter Battle) tactical paintball gun. The T68 CQB was designed for the kind of full-blown combat that calls for instant and precise execution, as well as fast and furious shooting. Apparently, the T68 CQB is best for serious paintball players who want to take part in tactical scenario games where precise shooting is required, not just "spraying and praying."

The T68 CQB has an advanced hammer and power spring that can deliver a head shot at 150 feet (maximum range is 300 feet). Amazing!

This tactical paintball gun uses standard .68 calibre paintballs so it can be used at any paintball field. According to Real Action Paintball, it's one of the most precise, dependable and powerful guns for tactical and scenario paintball on the market. I can believe that!

By the way, the price is right at only $200.00!

You can see a full desciption of it here...

Do you like to play military simulation scenario paintball? So, here's my first bit of paintball product news...it's about a new paintball grenade.

Real Action Paintball just released the M68 Thunder Grenade for scenario paintball, recball and woodsball. The charger allows the player to manage the output pressure of every shot.

Be ready for a thunderous boom when The M68 Thunder Grenade is launched. Apparently, it's a hundred times louder than a paintball gun!

The M68 Thunder Grenade can also be filled with simulated smoke powder. The opposing team's players will hear a massive bang followed by smoke billowing skyward. You can easily use the massive noise and smoke as a diversion to help your team advance. Here's a list of the available (or not available!) print paintball magazines. Another time I'll research online paintball magazines.

Print Paintball Magazines:

1. Action Pursuit Games - This is the paintball magazine rated #1 by DirectPaintball.com. They have a free newsletter you can sign up for on their Web site.

2. Paintball Magazine - CFW Enterprises, the publisher of Action Pursuit Games, also publishes Paintball Magazine.

3. Paintball 2 Xtremes - Web site is current...always a good sign. A popular paintball magazine.

4. Crossfire Paintball Digest - This magazine has merged with Paintball 2 Xtremes magazine.

5. Deadbox Magazine - At this writing their new Web site was not yet up and running. They appear to be in the process of re-releasing the magazine and overhauling their Web site after a bad winter. Hmm...

6. Facefull - Apparently the first worldwide paintball magazine. They also claim to be more "in your face" (hence their name) and hotter than any other paintball magazine. I hope that doesn't mean more hotties and less information. Their Web site doesn't appear 100% up-to-date. Hmm...

7. P2P Magazine - Appear to be out of business or taking one heck of a long time to reformat the magazine. Hmm...

8. P8nt Magazine - Last update to their Web site seems to have been in January, 2005 when they mention "regrouping." Hmm...

9. Paintball Games International Magazine - Popular magazine. Web site is current. They have a newsletter you can sign up for and a news feed you can put on your desktop.

10. What Paintball Gear? - Looks to be directly associated with Paintball Games International. Reviews paintball gear, as the title suggests!

11. Paintball News - Not the greatest Web site. Last update appears to be about January events. Hmm...

12. Scenario News - Supposedly a forum connected to Scenario News magazine. Couldn't find a link directly to the actual magazine...not sure if it exists. Hmm...

13. Splat - Lots of hotties, if that's what you like! Web site is current and often humourous.

14. Velocity - Canadian paintball magazine out of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Couldn't find any more information other than that online! Hmm...

The Paintball Review Web site has ratings on the above paintball magazines. When you get there, click on a title to see the readers' ratings for each magazine. One question I get asked by them regularly is, "Do you have any tips for starting a paintball team?" While I don't cover this topic in my book in any depth, I do have some thoughts on the subject.

Here are a few tips for starting a paintball team.

1. How well do you know your potential teammates? The better you and your teammates know each other, the better chance of your team working well together...and staying together, especially when the going gets rough (can't find a sponsor, losing streak, etc.).

2. How long have you played together as friends? If you've been playing together for a few years, your chances of forming a successful team are much better than if you're planning on trying to throw a bunch of beginners together. The more seasoned players there are on your team, the better. However...

3. Don't overlook newbies if they seem promising. Some people are naturals...born paintball players. You'll be able to spot them during weekend games. Get to know them and see if they'd be interested in joining a team. Natural players will learn quickly, develop winning strategies and bring great enthusiasm to the team and to each game.

4. Dress nicely and go around and ask local businesses or companies to sponsor your team. Start with businesses that your team members work at or have relatives working at. That way you'll have an ice breaker when you start the conversation and a possible "in" with the person who makes the decision to sponsor.

5. This may be my most valuable tip for you: Find a captain for your team who is mature, responsible and practices outstanding sportsmanship. They should also understand how to promote the team and keep morale high. Your captain will be the person a prospective sponsor judges your team by.

(Note: The last two tips were taken from one of the bonuses that comes with my Paintball Heroes ebook. It's a report on finding a sponsor for your rookie paintball team.)

To find more tips for starting a paintball team, talk to everyone about paintball (for example, business people and entrepreneurs may have some great tips for starting a paintball team, even if they know nothing about the game), surf the Web, subscribe to paintball magazines, frequent the online forums, buy paintball books and ebooks, etc. You may get a little tip here and a little tip there, but put them all together and suddenly you have a strategy for starting your own paintball team.

Later,
Lee
Paintball Heroes

Paintball Scenario Games

http://www.PaintballHeroes.com

I was surfing the paintball forums a few weeks ago and came across a huge thread on what to bring to paintball scenario games. I decided to compile all the great suggestions into one comprehensive list. But first let me tell you what to expect when you get to your first paintball scenario game.

What to Expect When You Arrive

When you drive up, things will look pretty familiar: there will be a parking lot, a field (or several fields), and the usual staging area. There will also be a camping area where you can pitch a tent and cook your meals. For those of you who decide to book into one of the local hotels, you can still use the camping area to cook during the day. The big difference to a regular recball or woodsball game is that during the weekend, there will almost always be a game in progress (day or night). However, there may be scheduled breaks during the day and an evening supper break is often provided.

But, of course, you don't have to play all the time even when there are games in progress. There will be "insertion points" so you can get back in the game if you had to take an unscheduled break.

The rules of the game, the field boundaries, and the missions or quests will be explained at the start of the first day. There will be points or prizes for accomplishing certain missions or for reaching certain destinations. Think of a scenario game as a movie or role-playing game come to life. There may be special effects, like smoke screens, spotlights and pyrotechnics, as well as equipment and structures brought in especially for the game. This is not plain old "capture the flag" paintball!

You will find a detailed list of what to take (and what NOT to take!) to paintball scenario games here: Scenario Paintball Games.

Later,
Lee

P.S.
