Potato Stories: Lazyness

    Hi, my name is Grimp, but some people call me Girp, I am here today to tell you my story about how incredibly lazy I am. In fact, it took me 76 years to completely finish this story after the sheer amount of time I wasted just being so lazy.

   I was in my last year of secondary school, which is pretty much a school you go to if you live in a school district without middle schools, and I had tons of homework to do. I went to a school that goes by semesters, so I only had 4 classes for each half of the year, phew. First up was Geography, the teacher said that it was due tomorrow at 3pm, so then obviously that means that I don't have to do it yet. Next was Calculus, which was also due tomorrow but in the morning at 8:20, so that means I could also procrastinate on that and not do it. The next one was English, I had to write an essay about Ox Migration. It had to be a 10 page long essay, and it will be worth 50% of my grade. It's due two days from now, and even though I haven't started it yet, it's all okay. My last class was French, because deep inside, I wanted to become a cool person like that Napoolion Bonaparte guy. No wait, Bonaparte is from the movie, who I actually wanted to become was the harsh self-proclaimed emperor of France Napoleon Dynamite! I have a gigantic group project due tomorrow, and I haven't even started on my part of the project yet, but you know, it'll all be okay.

   It's now 4am at night and I'm deciding to do my homework, so then I start off with the least important which was Geography. All I had to do was label some countries, but that seemed like such a pain to do, so I just went to sleep. Once I woke up, ate breakfast, brushed my teeth, and changed my clothes, I told my mom that I would be walking to school, so then I walked out the door. Then I figured that it would be too much of a hassle to walk to school, so i waited for my mom to leave for work, then I just went back into the house and slept some more. The next day when I actually bothered to go to school, everybody was mad at me for some reason, I don't know why though. Since they were pestering me so much, I just went outside the school and decided to take a nap in the bushes. When I woke up, I was in the Nurse's Office. I looked around and asked why I was in here, but nobody was there! I decided to walk back home, no matter how much effort it took, just so I could go and play some of my video games.

   Once I got home, I saw a letter on my door. It said, "Someone as lazy as you should just die!". I thought about that letter, and decided that I would just go to the nearby harbor and try to drown myself. After 3 days of dragging myself to the harbor, which was only 5 blocks away from my house, I rented a boat, and sailed off to the sea. I decided I would tie a cage to my leg, and throw both the cage and myself off the boat. I was about to tie the rope but it just seemed like so much work, so I decided to just take a nap. Something shook the boat, and woke me up. I looked at what was shaking it and then I saw it...A GIANT HUMPBACK WHALE IS DESTROYING THE ENTIRE BOAT! The Humpback Whale then crushed both the boat and myself, ending my life. How am I writing this story you ask? 42.

Hey hey! Today marks the first of October. And you know what that means! Yeah, orange leaves and red leaves and yellow leaves and brown leaves. Oh, and pumpkins. Pumpkins which we use with knives of some sort to completely kill the pumpkin with by carving out holes on the bottom and then taking all of it's innards out and then continue to carve out even more holes and then put in candles or lights of some sort to burn them from the insides for our amusement. We then put them outside of our houses for people to enjoy the sight of these pumpkin carcases. Not one, but millions of pumpkins are massacred each October. Crazy stuff eh? Oh how we love you so much, October.

Speaking of October, in Canada, we have Thanksgiving in October. We get a day off and stuff one month before you people in the US. Hurhurr... Just think about all that turkey and food and turkey and food we get to have before you. Mmmm... Anyways, back to my original point, October is pretty much known for Halloween, so that's what I'll talk about.

Halloween is a holiday which was originally known as All Hallows' Eve back in the 16th century. Historian Nicholas Rogers, exploring the origins of Halloween, notes that while "some folklorists have detected its origins in the Roman feast of Pomona, the goddess of fruits and seeds, or in the festival of the dead called Parentalia, it is more typically linked to the Celtic festival of Samhain, whose original spelling was Samuin".

Anyways, all of that stuff probably means nothing to you folks so I'll go ahead and talk about the modern Halloween that you can actually take part in. Nowadays, the main attraction people do on October 31st is Trick-or-Treating. What is Trick-or-Treating you may ask? All of you may already know what it is, but let's tell the viewers about it, just in case. Well, Trick-or-Treating is when everybody go around the streets at night in costumes, going from door to door asking complete strangers for candy. Yes, it's all very safe, everybody should do it. Also, as I said before, people also carve pumpkins as decorations and put them at their doorsteps each year.

There are also lots of Halloween attractions around this time of the year. It's pretty much just like your typical carnival except it takes place at night and everything is pretty scary. Spooky huh? No, of course not. I'm super brave, you just don't know it yet. Hmmm. There's still a lot more to do during Halloween, like how people tend to play tricks on Halloween, similar to April Fools day. And there's Halloween costume parties going on everywhere with apple bobbing and all that other stuff.

Oh, hey look. There's an unnecessary picture of a Halloween bonfire? I wonder why it's there. Oh, maybe because PEOPLE GO CAMPING ON HALLOWEEN TOO. Yeah, uh huh. People go camping with a roaring bonfire as the campers gather around it and tell spooky ghost stories at night. The wind whistles through the withering trees and the wolves howl in a distance. Then suddenly a zombie comes out of nowhere and rips everyone's brains to shreds and eats them!!! Pretty good eh? I made that up like 2 seconds ago. Don't judge me.

That's pretty much all that people do on Halloween. It's all really festive ( not in a Christmassy way, but more like a holiday-ish way since Halloween IS a holiday celebrated throughout the entire world) around this time of the year. A lot of people actually contribute to decorating their houses and stuff as opposed to some other less celebrated holidays like St. Patrick's Day or Easter. And oohhh man, general stores sell so many Halloween decorations and food and clothing and awww man, you name it. Even restaurants and convenience stores get decorated. This really helps set the mood.

However, even among us festive peeps, there's always that one tiny group of really "Grinch" type people who don't decorate, don't attend parties, don't do anything Halloween related AT ALL. They just stay home watching horror movies. Augh. Ikr. So boring. No wait. It gets even worse. Some people don't even watch horror films at all. THEY STAY HOME AND PLAY THEIR ****ING XBOX. THOSE FREAKIN BNSFIUBGEIL AAAAUUUUUUGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! AIBFISUBSFUIBGUISLBLI!!!! GODDD.

Teaching Potato How To Play LoL

What's up guys so as of late I have been uploading a lot (and I mean A LOT) of LoL videos on youtube. Due to the concern of you guys getting bored of just watching me with my regular Tryndamere, Master Yi, Xin Zhao, Veigar. I have decided to teach a very special somebody how to play LoL! Yes I know, amazing right? Who would be this somebody you ask? You should already know, yes!! It's everybody's favorite guy wearing sunglasses and a cape! It's...*Drum roll*... Potato!!! That was quite sudden was it not? Well it was to me myself. Now that you guys pretty much know the situation I shall explain certain events (including events that have nothing to do with LoL) without further adue.

First of all the main purpose of the "Teaching Potato How To Play LoL" series is to of course teach Potato how to play LoL. It is also so the PaintPotato staff can have time to chill and play video games together.(Stress relief) Doing this series is also beneficial to the original LoL series I'm doing as well. Why you ask? Due to me starting to play LoL not long ago I do not have many champions nor am I skilled with many of them. This series with Potato can certainly improve my skills as well as help me gain IP points to buy even more champions for more fun times.

Now now..... Speaking of collaborations I will be doing quite a few with another commentator like myself on Youtube. Since this is what I consider top-secret information I shall not leak any of it. I'm looking forward to do this collaboration with *************** so look forward to it! P.S. The game we will be playing is Spiral Knights. Seven Deadly Squarepants

So recently (and by recently, I mean a long time ago but I didn't feel like posting it at the time so I didn't) I found a connection between a childhood favourite show of mine and the seven deadly sins. So of course, out of curiosity, I went ahead and searched it up on Google. There, I found a few people who had already talked about that and so I decided to you know, take a little bit of there stuff and put it here... Yeahh... before you sue me for plagiarizing, I DID add a little link somewhere at the bottom. So ha! Can't sue me now, can you!

1. Sloth-Patrick
Sloth is the sin of laziness, or unwillingness to act. Obviously this is Patrick. He lays under a rock all the time and doesn’t really do anything. In fact in the episode “Big Pink Loser” he got an award for doing nothing the longest.

2. Wrath-Squidward
Wrath involves feelings of hatred and anger. Squidward hates his life, usually hates SpongeBob, and is pretty much angry most of the time.

3. Greed-Mr. Krabs
Obviously Mr. Krabs is greedy and desires money. How could Greed not be Krabs? He actually sang about the power of greed in “Selling Out”.

4. Envy-Plankton
Plankton is envious of Mr. Krabs because The Krusty Krab is a success while The Chum Bucket is a failure. His envy drives him to try to steal the Krabby Patty secret formula.

5. Gluttony-Gary
I actually think this one is pretty funny. Did you ever notice the running gag in Spongebob where they say “don’t forget to feed Gary” or Sponge says “I gotta go feed Gary”. Gary even ran away that time when SpongeBob forgot to feed him. Gluttony usually refers to the overindulgence of food so I’m guessing this one fits him pretty well.

6. Pride-Sandy
Sandy takes a lot of pride in who she is and where she comes from. She takes pride in the fact that she is from Texas and likes to let everyone know it. She also takes pride in the fact that she is a mammal and a land creature, like in the episode “Pressure” where she tried to prove land critters were better than sea critters.

7. Lust-SpongeBob

Ok, I know what your thinking. It does seem a little weird and curious at first but I have given it a lot of thought. Lust in one definition is “excessive love of others”. I think this one works best for Spongebob. He shows his love of others with his overeagerness to do good and help people. If anything is true about SpongeBob it’s that he loves everyone around him, even if they don’t exactly love him back.

Pretty good matchup, don’t you think? And here’s my addition for Mrs. Puff:

8. Despair-Ms. Puff
The list of deadly sins traditionally included Despair (a.k.a. Depression, Sadness, or Acedia) which was later replaced with one of the current seven. However you define it, this is Ms. Puff. She’s always unhappy and especially around SpongeBob. The only time she is ever happy is when she’s in jail or SpongeBob is cut out of her life. One definition of this sin is a mental instability and in one episode Ms. Puff started seeing things while in jail.

Villains are so much cooler than Heroes

With an exception of anti-heroes of course. But movie directors and book authors are all too lazy to make a little change to the typical (and boring) heroes and villains. Well since there's almost no anti-heroes in existence, it's hard to talk about them. So let's just skip to the part where I talk about how villains are so much cooler, stronger, and better than heroes. Logically, villains have an enormous advantage in any war or battle.

First of all, almost 100% of the time, the bad guys are on the offense. Why? Because most of the time, the villains are the ones who want to take over the good guy's territory, or trying to steal their prized artifact or all those other evil plans. Being on offense allows for multiple advantages over the war. First of all, being on offense means you get to strike first. The first strike gives an overwhelming advantage to the villains because they get to plan out their strategies beforehand as the heroes won't know when they'll strike, which adds in the element of surprise.

Also, the good guys usually care for their teammates. I'm not saying that's bad once in a while, but they do it too freakin' much. Heroes tend to act all dramatic and stuff going all like "Oh no, you're hurt", "It's okay, go on without me...", "I can't leave you here!" Heh, yeah. I know. Cliche and stupid. It's just a scratch, he can deal with it fine. On top of that, do you know how much time you spent with your little chit chat? Enough time for the villains to fatally injure your OTHER comrades or perhaps even kill them. Smart choice, bro.

Furthermore, have you noticed that the bad guys always have secret weapons like laser beams, along with elite soldiers and a billion minions on top of that? While the good guys bring along like 1000 people on their war. Pfft. STUPID. Even if all 1000 of them were Sparta, it still wouldn't be enough. Another thing is that heroes are the citizen's role models. They have a reputation to live up to and will fight for justice. That's great and all but villains had no reputation to begin with. They could go around and use puny tricks and set up pesky traps against the heroes and they're reputation wouldn't go any further down, since it's already at 0. The villains can cheat all they want and it'd still be okay for them. Sometimes, it's these tiny little things that change the tide of war.

I decided to post this just cause i thought people might get addicted to it and maybe come back to our blog just to listen to it, or you could just go on Youtube and....
