The death of a great worship leader

Today, I have spent a long day in evangelism. I traveled more than 140 kilometers on the motorcycle and I am very jaded and tired. I went to the different villages and preached and visited the Christians and Muslims. In several names I would like to give the name Mr. Ghulam Abaas. He is a Muslim. He was crushed under a trolly of weight and lost his legs and back bone. He walks with the crutches that are like an iron stand to support him. I introduced him Lord Jesus Christ and told him about the healing power of Lord Jesus, he accepted and then I prayed for him; make sure to pray for him because he has small children whereas his earning is stopped.

Ernest Mall: Four or five days ago, Pastor Ernest Mall died because of heart attack. He is the legend and hero of our time. In the worship there are only two names one is Pastor I. D. Shehbaz who converted the text of psalms in poetry and then composed 405 tunes of the psalm in our native language Punjabi. He is legend because no work is comparable with this. Then is Pastor Ernest Mall, Who was born in Okarda, bred up in Lahore (Pakistan), moved to USA in 1990 and started worshipping and coming in Pakistan, India and other countries where Urdu/Punjabi speaking people were found. In short he is an international worshipper of Lord Jesus Christ. He wrote, composed and sang more than 500 songs. He taught our Pakistani brethren how to worship. Many people were healed during his worship. His voice was the sweetest. Now his wife and a daughter are in Belfry, USA because they are citizen of US. Pray for them.
I can not forget in my life when he spent 3 days with me in Karachi and we arranged a big crusade for him on 7, 8, 9 September 2005. In these three days more than one lac and forty thousands (1, 40, 000), people came and worshipped the Lord Jesus and more than forty thousands people repented and promised to walk after Lord Jesus Christ.

Another Christian Teen Age Girl Implicated in False Charge of Theft.

I hope you are fine and doing great job for Lord Jesus Christ. I am sending you some news from different cities and outreach areas of Pakistan and believe these news will bring many people on your site and will show the Christians current situation to all over the world people.

Lahore: March 29, 2008. Farzana Rasheed Masih aged 16 year belong to a destitute family. She used to work as a servant in the house of a Muslim named Muhammad Abid and getting Rs.500 ($8) Per month, resident of officers colony cantt sader Lahore. Farzana worked in Abid's house more then three months. Muhammad Abid got married two months ago. He decided to go Garanwala (a small city) to meet with his relatives along with his wife, four days ago. Abid said to Farzana we will call you when we get back home, so farzana went to her home.
During that time some of the neighbors of Muhammad Abid informed Mohammad Abid that the doors of his house are open widely. Upon that, Abid immediately came back and filed a case in the police station Shumali Chaoni, brought a charge of theft against unknown men, FIR # 345/08, offence 457/380, dated 26-03-08. Muhammad Abid claimed in FIR for the burglary of precious Jewelry, 250,000/ Pak rupees ($4150) and other valuable good of the house.
On 27th March 2008 Muhammad Abid called Farzana to come back at work as they got back home. Farzana stepped out of her home around 10:00am. She was just on the way when police arrested her and took to the police station where they cruelly tortured Farzana. At the same day around 11:00 pm police raided at the house of Farzana and arrested her old father and three brothers and tormented them as well. Upon that, the local people protested against the police's negative attitude around 2:00 am, police released Farzana's father and brothers because of the frights of the local people.
One of the Farazana's relative said that Muhammad Abid along with police threatened Farzana family for the severe consequences.
On 28 March 28, 2008 people were protesting again and rushing towards the office of Superintendent Police. This protest was comprised on 300 women and 200 men. Some of them have been holding cross in their hands. The S.H.O police station Shumali Chaoni Muhammad Anjum Tanvir trying to hampering the people. Police blocked the road with their trucks so that people couldn't reach to the office of S.P. And she is still in prison.

Greetings from Pastor Rehman,

I am very happy to hear from you. Actually, I have been very busy in ministerial affairs, my church members and local people had been suffering from many problems like money, diseases, worried ness, tension and physical problems. So I started praying for them and it is nearly two months that I have been praying for them with special zeal and zest. Now I have seen many miracles like instant bondages breakdown in Lord Jesus Christ, healings and other signs and wonders. There is a brother named Saber in our church, two Sundays ago, his ears were deaf and he listened nothing for many days, so when I called for pray, he stood and God healed him. That day, there were more than 50 people standing and they all were healed immediately.

On 17 April, Brother William called me whose son Danish was very sick. He was jerking, hands and feet twisted, releasing foam from his mouth. Note his age is just 3 and half years. So I started praying for him. God revealed on me that he was not demon possessed but was suffering from a kind of fever. So we took him to doctor, the child specialist. He treated him and now has referred him to CMH, main military hospital in Multan. He is out of danger and recovering. Pray for him.

Sister Nikki, I have been teaching on true worship since last three Sundays, the first message is based on John 4:20, actually, there have been a group in Pakistan preaching that true worshippers should not use musical instruments in worship. So I am proving from the Bible that we can use musical instruments in our worship (Ephesians 5: 19; Psalm 150). There are many references in the Holy Bible. Today, I preached; John 4: 21 “Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. 22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.” The blue part of verse tells us that salvation is of the Jews. It means true pattern of worship is found in Jews community. And we know very well that they used nearly four thousands musical instruments in their worship so worship is done through clapping, singing, music, with soul and spirit.

Easter 2008 Report

Cloths Distribution to 75 Children

Praise the Lord for the month of March 2008 and for this wonderful Easter: I want to thank you for your prayers for me and United Ministries Pakistan. On Easter 2008 United Ministries Pakistan has aimed to distribute cloths to 415 children but due to financial problem we were able to give just cloths to only 75 children. We are thanks to Lord and also thank to our brothers and sisters who help us in Easter program and also thanks to our brothers and sisters who prayed for our Easter programs.

Sunday Services

In February and March 2008 Sunday Services in different areas of United Ministries Pakistan were held regularly. Special Easter meetings were held in different areas. In our Sunday services strength of congregation increased in every meeting so we are praying for separate church building for each area. Please continue to pray for us and for our regular prayer meetings. The believers of the congregation involve in personal soul winning by meeting people individually and sharing the gospel. Please continue to pray for us and for our regular prayer meetings.

Outreach Gospel Program

Outreach Gospel program is going very bless-full in last three months. We won many souls for Lord Jesus Christ in Outreach Gospel Program. Outreach prayer meetings have been blissful in Chak Tanula, Warbartan, Chaman Zaar Colony, Rasool Park, Goal Patha, Amipur Bangla, Mubarikabad Colony, Chak # 6 RB, Goghuwal, Manawala, Nishatabad, waheed park, Samanabad, Saeedabad, Ghulam Muhammadabad, Gojra, Dasua, Korian, Chak # 26, Chak 192, Shorkoat, Mariamabad, Chinioat, Yousafabad and Railway Quarter. We need more then 2500 Urdu Bible for Outreach Gospel program and we are praying for Urdu Bibles and also we are praying for Ministry transport as we have no ministry conveyance and have to travel on public transport. By having ministry transport we can increase outreach Gospel program.

Biblical Teaching Classes for Youth

In last two months Bible Teaching classes were given regularly to youth in different areas. Young girls and boys are participating in these Bible Teaching classes. God is blessing them and they are learning the word of God with Great Spirit. We want to start more Biblical teaching program in different areas for youth. Please pray for this program.

Sunday School

Praise the Lord for last two months. In March 2008 we teach Sunday school children about the death and resurrection of Lord Jesus Christ. Through Sunday school United Ministries Pakistan is developing every part of a child – spirit, soul, and body – through worship, teaching, prayer, fellowship and evangelism. This program is running in four areas of Faisalabad namely Railway Colony, 213-Maryamabad, Waheed Park and Warispura Faisalabad. Sunday school system is a great source of Biblical knowledge for the children. Through Sunday School children are learning the Christian spiritual songs and through colorful story books they learn about the miracles of Jesus Christ. Please continue to pray for Sunday school classes.

Prison Ministry

Last two months we have visited to prisoners family and prayed with them on regular basis. Our team of prison ministry under the supervision of Pastor Rashid Emmanuel continuously visited in the families of Prisons and prayed with them. We are praying in our each congregational prayer meeting for prisoners. Please pray that Lord open door for our prison ministry section that we have to serve our prisoners brothers and sisters.

Women Ministry

Women Ministry is going very bless-full and last two months are really blissful for us. Jesus Christ blessed to Women ministry because women ministry is increasing day by day. Through women groups we are winning many souls for Lord Jesus Christ in different areas. Many women and young girls changed their lives after listen the word of God and now they are the member of women ministry and preaching the word of God in women and girls. We need Urdu religious literature for women ministry because when our Sisters are going for preaching in new community at that time they need religious literature for distribution. Also we need Urdu Bibles and Urdu New Testaments for our Sister. Please pray for the women ministry that God use our sisters for His Glory.

United Primary School

United Primary School is running smoothly throughout the last two months. New classes of children are running very smoothly. We arrange a special period of Christians study in every class on daily basis for children spiritual growth. Now children are learning the word of God from their childhood. We are praying for our own school building because many children are coming for admission but due to the lack of space we are not giving admission to new children. Please help us in this mission. We will be very much thankful to you for your generous donation for school children.

Sewing Center

In last two months Sewing Centre in Railway Colony Faisalabad was going very well. We want to increase the number of Machines in Sewing Center because more women and girls are coming and we don't have large number of machines. We are praying to Lord Jesus Christ for more sewing machines. Most important and the greatest gift these women receive the good news of Lord Jesus Christ. Before each tailoring session starts there is a short devotion time in which they hear the Word of God who loves and cares for them unconditionally. Please pray for our sisters who are learning the tailoring. In future we want to start the sewing centers in different areas where we are preaching Please pray for this mission of the United Ministries Pakistan.

FREE DISPENSARY

In last two months Free Dispensary in Railway Colony Faisalabad is running smoothly by the Grace of Lord Jesus Christ. We are giving medicine to the needy free of cost. Brother Riaz Masih is the incharge of the Dispensary and first he is doing prayer on patients and then he is giving medicine. Every patient is demanding to our brother please pray for us before giving us medicine. People are healing very quickly because they are asking Jesus heal us through prayer. Please pray for this mission of the United Ministries Pakistan.

United Care Center

United Care Center is running very smoothly from last two months. We are currently giving food shelter and education to 11 orphan children and you can see their pictures on the website. Due to limited recourses and limited place we are unable to accommodate more orphan children. We are giving shelter to orphan children in rented place. Therefore we are praying for our own orphanage center where we can accommodate 30 to 40 orphan children. We need $440 for 11 orphan children on monthly basis. We need your help in this mission. Please adopt orphan children as you can easily. This will be great help for us in this mission. We are waiting for your help for orphan children.

Healing Conventions

15^th March 2008 Healing Convention

We arrange one day healing convention in Gokhuwal. About 400 people attend this healing convention. Many people healed in this healing convention and they gave their testimonies.

20^th March 2008 Healing Convention

We arrange one day healing convention in Tamboo Colony. About 600 people attend this healing convention. Many people healed in this healing convention and they gave their testimonies.

Healing Conventions in April 2008

We are going to arrange two healing conventions in April 2008. One is in Chak Tanula on 10^th April and second in Chmanzar Colony on 15^th April. Keep these healing conventions in your regular prayers that Lord bless us and use us abundantly for His Grace. Keep our financial needs for these healing conventions in your regular prayers.

Dear Brother Aaron,

Greetings in the name of Lord Jesus Christ!

My assistant Pastor Samsoon is married on 05 April this Saturday. It was raining when we went to the city of bride that is Toba Tek Singh. Toba Tek Singh is our district and it is 30 kilometers away from us. So every thing was fine and good. Before wedlock we had time and I worshipped for half an hour for this couple. On the very next, we also offered a service of gratitude after the normal Sunday meeting.

Nowadays, I am preaching about the ‘True Worship’ of Lord. I think it will take me 3-5 Sundays to explain this topic. This Sunday, there were also many sick but they all were healed immediately.

Dear Aaron, after a long run of lack of water, there have been raining all over the Pakistan and this rain is destroying the crop of wheat that is just at the point of harvesting.

Water resources and revenge killings

Aaron you are doing a good work for the nation of Pakistan. Any email that you have received from me until now you can post them on the Pakistan blog.

Here are some stories and news that you can post.

First of all, on March 30, 2008, it is Sunday and the electricity disconnected from 7am to 10 pm. We conducted the Sunday service without the sound system and I had to speak in a loud voice to convey the message of God from the living Word. In the night there were a lot of mosquitoes who were biting the children and adults as well. So I heard the cries of children nearly from every house. The reason for mosquitoes is that nowadays the crop of wheat is ripening and maturing as there is dew from the sky so this moisten is the best producer of these mosquitoes. As soon as the warm season will be intense the mosquitoes will die with this heat. About electricity our governmental department says that the water in the dams is below the dead level. So Pakistan is facing the problem of lack of natural water. This situation will be worse in the near future. Perhaps people will cry for the drinking water. With the passage of every day the price of petrol is increasing and the prices of things are touching the sky. We have only one option of praying.

Here is another story: On day of Easter, a Christian family was living in Karachi. There forefathers live in a near village to us. On the day of Easter, this family went out for entertainment. While driving there car struck with the car of a Pathan (Pathan is nation mostly living in Northern parts of Pakistan but they are also in Karachi in a great number, they are actual inhabitants of Afghanistan). So both Christian and Pathan fought on the road with blows, kick and dragged one another. In the same night, the Pathans knocked the door of that Christian family and as the younger brother came to open the door, they killed him, then they killed the second brother, the eldest brother came in the last, he resisted so they beat the gun on his head and it was torn. He lived in the hospital for three days and died. The three brothers are killed; they were all married and had children. Now there are their widows and orphan children left. One of reason is that they were Christians. The other problems you can imagine what is happening to their families.

Pray for that family. There are a lot of stories like this in this country. God bless you!

Why this blog?

My name is Aaron D. Taylor and I'm the moderator of this blog. At the time of this writing, I've been to Pakistan twice and I've been itching to go back ever since. The last time I was in Pakistan was in April 2006 when I was there working on a feature length documentary called "Holy Wars." Since then, I've been in contact with at least three different ministries in Pakistan and each of them have sent me regular updates about their ministries along with stories of how their people are starving due to the severe discrimination that Christians face in Pakistan. Up until now I've felt pretty powerless about doing anything of significance to help my brothers and sisters in Christ in this troubled country. But a couple of weeks back an idea started brewing in my head. What if I could create a blog that allows Pakistani Christians to tell their own stories to the outside world? And then what if the blog became a well known hub for anything and everything related to Pakistan's Christians? Once the idea logged its way into my brain, I couldn't let it go. There are too many stories that need to be told. So there you have it! There are two assumptions undergirding the reason for why I started this blog. The first assumption is there are Pakistani Christians that want to tell their stories. The second assumption is there are Christians in the West that care. Only time will tell whether these assumptions prove to be true.
