Price per square foot for Palos Verdes Drive East houses that sold in the first half of 2026 increased to $718 from $715 in 2025, a 0.4% increase. Average sales price for Palos Verdes Drive East homes sold in the first half of 2026 decreased to $1,968,917 in 2026 compared to $2,109,534 in 2025. The most expensive Palos Verdes home sale in Palos Verdes Drive East was $3,435,000 and the lowest priced Palos Verdes home sale in the Palos Verdes Drive East neighborhood was $1,300,000.

Currently, the Palos Verdes Drive East neighborhood has 9 Palos Verdes homes for sale. Palos Verdes Art Center 6th Annual Fall Orchid Show & Sale 2026

The Palos Verdes Art Center will be presenting the 6th annual South Bay Orchid Society’s Fall Orchid Show and Sale this weekend on Saturday, September 19, and Sunday, September 20, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The show will feature dozens of award winning and blooming orchids on exhibit from various genera grown to perfection by society members who compete for ribbons, trophies, and awards. What a great opportunity for Palos Verdes homes owners to meet local commercial orchid growers and learn about hybrid orchids, companion plants, succulents, bromeliads, hoyas, ferns, exotic and rare plants, foliage plants, growing supplies, fertilizer, bark and designer orchids for sale. These growers will offer a variety of unique species and hybrid orchids that do well in our Peninsula gardens.

There will also be volunteer members in attendance to answer your questions. There will be an hourly raffle which will be part of the show and a plant hotel will be available to house your purchases while you enjoy the show. The galleries of the Art Center will be open during show hours and attendees are invited to tour the various works and art exhibits.

Parking is free, and the show and sale are both included with your paid admission fee of $5 for adults and children under 12 are free. For more information click here.

Palos Verdes Joins Strides In Recovery With Palos Verdes Trails 5K 2026!

Palos Verdes homes owners can join the 5th annual Strides in Recovery, Palos Verdes Trails 5K event on October 4, 2026, at Ernie Howlett Park. The event is meant to invigorate your Body and Soothe your Soul at this outdoor experience which takes place at Ernie Howlett Park, with an exciting 5K trail run/walk course on a beautiful city equestrian and hiking trails. There will be age division awards for each age category, chip-timed results, music by a DJ, premium event T-shirt, custom finisher medals and a vendor expo.

This great event starts at 8:00 a.m. and is a wonderful opportunity to get out and enjoy this beautiful area while supporting a local non profit.

The cost for the 5K walk is $51.88, and the 5K run is $54.00. Packet pickups are on Friday, October 2, 2026, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Vista Sotheby’s – 35 Peninsula Center, Rolling Hills Estates, and on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Road Runner Sports – 25359 Crenshaw Blvd, Torrance or on Race Day October 4, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. 8:00 a.m. at Ernie Howlett Park. Strides in Recovery is a nonprofit organization which helps newly sober individuals grow physically, emotionally and mentally stronger so they can do their best at the hard work of recovery. Palos Verdes Homes Sales August 2026

Palos Verdes real estate sales August 2026 for Palos Verdes homes decreased compared July 2026. 57 Palos Verdes houses sold in August compared to 62 homes in July and increased from the 45 homes that sold in August 2025. There were 57 Palos Verdes single family homes pending in August which decreased from the 67 homes pending in July. The number of active Palos Verdes homes for sale in August (162) decreased from the 176 homes for sale in July.

Average sales price for Palos Verdes homes sold in August increased to $3,774,000 compared to $2,611,000 in July and increased from August 2025 at $2,445,000. There were 2 sales over $15,000,000. Price per square foot for Palos Verdes houses that sold/closed escrow in August decreased to $1108 from $909 in July. Average days on market in August was 39 days which increased from the 37 days in July. Months of inventory (months it would take to sell existing inventory at the current rate of sale) was 2.8 months in August which is exactly the same as July for Palos Verdes homes for sale. A “normal” or balanced market is considered 3 to 6 months of inventory (less than 3 months is a seller’s market and more than 6 months is a buyer’s market). Currently, there are 151 single family Palos Verdes homes for sale. 59 Palos Verdes houses are in escrow (32 homes have pending sales and 27 homes are active under contract). Additionally, 21 homes have sold/closed escrow in the first 11 days of August.

Dogtoberfest At South Coast Botanic Garden 2026!

Palos Verdes homes owners have a another opportunity to enjoy the beautiful South Coast Botanic Garden with their fur babies. This fun event is where beer festival meets dog parade at the South Coast Botanic Garden to become Dogtoberfest!

Back by pup-ular demand, Dogtoberfest is returning to the Garden for its third year this October—and it’s bigger, better and barkier than ever! Inspired by the beloved Bavarian tradition of Oktoberfest, this one-of-a-kind event brings together dogs and their humans for a festive celebration filled with live music, beer and plenty of tail-wagging fun every Saturday and Sunday from October 10 through November 1, 2026.

In the park, you can enjoy a gorgeous walk in the Garden with your pup while you taste a variety of beers. This year’s Dogtoberfest features exciting new additions including a larger band with dancers, more Oktoberfest-inspired competitions, an expanded VIP Beer Tasting experience along the Pup Crawl and a VIP Dog ticket. Guests can indulge in Bavarian-inspired food and beer for purchase from Dottie’s at the Koi Pond and also sign up their pup to compete in dog races. With all of the festive decor and increased community seating, the Garden’s Upper Meadow will transform into a cheerful beergarten atmosphere that welcomes pups and people alike.

This great event is a timed ticket event with three time slots (morning, midday, afternoon) available for purchase. Each 2 hour time slot includes the same activities.

Palos Verdes homes sales in the city of Rolling Hills for the first half of 2026 increased to 7 single family homes sold in 2026 compared to 6 in 2025. Price per square foot for Rolling Hills houses that sold in the first half of 2026 increased to $1,121 from $1,051 in 2025, a 6.6% increase. Average sales price for Rolling Hills homes sold in the first half of 2026 increased to $4,984,286 in 2026 compared to $3,850,400 in 2025. The most expensive Palos Verdes home sale in the city of Rolling Hills was $6,500,000 and the lowest priced Palos Verdes home sale in the city of Rolling Hills was $3,675,000.

Currently, the city of Rolling Hills has 12 Palos Verdes homes for sale. There are 12 single family homes for sale ranging in price from $3,200,000 for a 5 bedroom/5 bath, 4,916 square foot home, to $19,800,000 for a 5 bedroom/11 bath, 9,463 square foot home. There are no condo/townhomes in this area.

Palos Verdes Home Owners Join The 2026 International Coastal Cleanup Day!

Palos Verdes Homes owners are invited to participate in the 42nd annual Coastal Cleanup Day with Los Serenos de Point Vicente. This worldwide cleanup program is held in more than 100 countries and is said to have the largest number of volunteers on the planet. California Coastal Cleanup Day was started in 1985 by the California Coastal Commission and is typically the third Saturday of September.

Coastal Cleanup Day has gained importance as debris has washed up on our coastline not only from old storms, but also our own local waste. Our local annual Coastal Cleanup Day is scheduled for Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, beginning at Founders Park and cleaning up to Rancho Palos Verdes Beach & Ocean Trails Reserve. Los Angeles County alone has more than 60 sites participating in this clean up. Los Serenos de Point Vicente will combine efforts to help improve the health and safety of our coastline.

Palos Verdes has some of the cleanest beaches and we can all do our part to keep them this way. Heal the Bay reports every year on the Palos Verdes beaches and coves. Due to the heavy rains this year, we did not make the top Honor Roll list for California. Heal the Bay assigns weekly grades to more than 500 sites along the West Coast for summer dry-weather water quality and to another 60 locations that are on year round monitoring. Heal the Bay is a nonprofit environmental organization dedicated to making Southern California coastal waters and watersheds safe, healthy and clean. They use science, education, community action and advocacy to pursue their mission.

Come and join neighbors and friends at Founders Park and be a part of this largest volunteer day. You can participate in this worldwide event by volunteering right here in your own backyard while enjoying our beautiful coast at the same time. This year, event organizers are providing gloves, trash bags and refreshments. Disposal bags will be provided to hold recyclables and trash. No RSVP is needed. All volunteers are required to sign a waiver and volunteers under the age of 18 must have the appropriate liability waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian before they can participate.
