I don't care for sponge Bob but I put it on today to see what Lydia would do. It was so cute she laughed and kicked, made cute baby noises and waved her hands in the air. I guess its all the colors.

At Last

At last I have reached the two month mark with my little girl. I thought I would keep her home to cut down on chances of her catching a cold or worse the flu. She is now two months and I'm getting ready to take her out. This weekend will be her first time with me at church. I'm praying she sleeps through the whole sermon. :)

Lydia didn't want to go to sleep tonight. I couldn't get her to go to bed, so daddy took a turn at trying to get her to sleep. She just kept fighting sleep. She went to sleep at last when I laid down next to her.

Its about 3am and I just finished feeding her and putting her back to sleep, (well trying to get her to sleep that is.) She has laughed twice today and smiles in her sleep.

I am soooo sleepy. I guess I should have taken a nap today but I got busy blogging...lol.... and now I need to go make dinner before my little angel wakes up. She is about a month old now and wakes up only twice in a night. Last night my husband got up with her each time so I could sleep.

Everytime she cries I run to go pick her up. Richard said I have to stop doing that and let her cry a little. So last night when he took over watching her he decided he was going to get her to sleep in her own bed. He said she was crying for just a little and then fell to sleep. She slept all night in her own bed. He said I'm going to spoile her if I pick her up every time she is crying. :( I can't help wanting to run and get her each time though. I imagin she is thinking, "Why wont mommy come get me?"

Lydia is now a month old and I'm enjoying her. She still sleeps a lot during the day and keeps me up at night but I'm getting use to it. I will take a nap with her during the day so I can keep up with her at night. Richard had this last month off from work so he could have bonding time with her, but now I'm on my own during the day. At first I was a little worried about how that would be, but I am happy to say that it has been working out fine so far. She lets me put her down now in the day time for a nap and sleeps a few hours before she is ready to eat.
Bedtime is the part I'm still trying to get her to understand. She wont sleep in her bed if she can help it. I don't know why we even bothered to buy her a bed if she is always going to be in my bed.....lol....

I love it it feels like spring this morning! I got up around 6am, feed the baby, put her back to sleep. Had my time to get a relaxing bath. Clean the house, have my morning time with God, make a cup of tea and now I'm relaxing. :)

Ok here are some photo of me. I thought I better put them up before the baby comes. This weekend I was in labor and delivery again because my contractions were 5 min apart. I'm wanting her to come this weekend. I so hope she will.

36 Weeks!

I'm really excited today. I went to the doctor this morning. Baby Lydia is doing great and she has already turned and is in the head down position! I have dilated 1 centimeter. Now she can come at any time though I hope she waits at lest a week or two more so I can make it to 37 weeks. But the long wait is about over.

Baby Shower Update:
We decided to have the shower after Lydia is born because one I can't stand to hardly sit in a car for even 10 min and two it snows at my parents place and we don't want to get all snowed in :) So we are still having it but maybe a month or so after.

Now I'm really starting to count down the weeks. Last week I woke up one night with contractions that were 5 min apart and then moved to 8 min apart. I thought I was going to have to go into labor and delivery again but thankfully they stopped and I was able to go back to sleep. I went to the doctor first thing that next morning. She said the baby was fine. I'm at 34 weeks once I reach 37 weeks she can come without being termed premature.

I can tell she is moving lower now because I can breath better and have more room when I eat. But wow is she heavy!

Eating all day

The baby is so big now I don't have room to eat a big meal, so I'm eating all these little meals during the day, but it makes me feel like I eat all day long...lol... I thought that maybe since I was so small that the baby is small too but I went to the doctor and she measured the baby and said she is growing fine. :)

8 Months !

Today I reached the 8th month mark! That means its just around the corner now. They say the baby should be sleeping 90-95% of the day but she isn't instead she is wide awake kicking me, either that or she is baby sleep walking in her dreams. I still never got those strange food cravings, well other than wanting to eat something chalky. But I do crave oranges. I went shopping with my mom one Sunday at the flea market and bought a bunch of tangelos to take home. Well by the time it was about time to go I had to buy more I had eaten all but one or two. My second set barely made it home.

Thankfully this is the end because right now I can't do anything. Walking is a pain and I love to walk. If I set too long I get contractions, if I lay down too long my back hurts and if I stand, well lets just say everything hurts.

I listen to woman who say they loved being pregnant, saying what a joy it was. I smile but in the back of my head I'm thinking, "Whats wrong with you? This is a lot of work! I can't wait till its over." But I guess it really is easy for some people.

To anyone who has not had kids yet when you decide to please don't ask me what it was like unless you want me to talk you out of it...lol.... I promise to be one f those women who have only scary stories to tell. No I'm kidding I have a few good ones. I think my favorite will be how my husband completely spoiled me the whole time. If he had it his way he wouldn't let me do a single thing. Having someone make breakfast for you and tea is wonderful, and he always makes sure I know I'm loved. Without him this pregnancy would be so hard, but he is always there for me, reminding me that its almost over and how proud he is of me, and it makes me love him all the more. :)

Ok I really feel fat now

I know I know to anyone who has seen me, you will say I am still small. But I feel fat now. The little one is moving around a lot now. During this Thanksgiving dinner she was just as much at the table as I was.She squirmed the whole time I was trying to eat.

This week she has made it hard for me to do anything and I have had contractions off and on for about two or three days now. I can't wait till she is born so I can sleep without being kicked...lol...

6 Months!

Ok I guess it is a little over due time for me to post some news about baby Lydia. I am now at 6 months and they are the longest 6 months of my life….lol….Thank God its almost over. I find myself eating a lot! And its funny because people say I am so small and this is the largest I have ever been! People laugh when I say, “I feel fat.” But I really do.
Baby Lydia kicks almost non stop and I feel everything!.....lol…..she wakes up about 7 am and starts my day of with her kicks, and the little thing kicks hard enough for my husband to feel her kick him if he is laying next to me. Then she takes a little break and starts up again after I eat. The worst time she picks to kick though is around 11pm. Right when I want to sleep she kicks like crazy, why I don’t know…lol…but I can set my watch almost by it.
The mood swings stopped at last and I’m back to feeling like my normal happy self. I can concentrate now when I want to set up and read a book a lot better than I could before. This is really the best that I have felt in a while except for the fact that I stay sleepy and have this craving for chalky things. They say it is called Pica and that a lot of women get it. Some people think it is a calcium or iron deficiency, so I started taking more calcium, but it hasn’t done anything except make me want more chalky things…lol….
