Playing at the Pond and making Homemade Macaroni!

2015-10-06T07:07:00.002-07:00

Can't forget the sunscreen on my little alabaster white wee one.

Making homemade macaroni and cheese! My girls love to cook! The daughter is a natural at it!

These are shooting stars from the VBS at the Kinsman church. They were really fun to play with and throw. I think they went to four VBS's this summer. This is the first summer we have ever gone to so many. It entertained them and they got to do a lot of socializing.

Cortland Street Fair Parade!

2015-10-06T06:55:00.001-07:00

We are total parade goers!

They handed out flags and the kids all got one.

On our way down to go get some fair food! YUM!

Balloon Animals from one of the church's.

Candy! That has to be the best part of a parade!

Sunglasses!

2015-10-01T15:05:00.001-07:00

I got six new pairs of sunglasses from Roger's Flea market this summer for $5 each. The top red ones and the white ones are my favorite ones!

I got a new headband for $1 at the Hartville Flea Market.

I picked up some cool vintage earrings at the Hartville Flea Market for .50.

Me wearing some of my vintage flea market finds with my polka dot dress. I do love polka dots and vintage jewelry!

The daughter trying to steal my sunglasses!

Showing off some shirts I picked up for her at a garage sale for $1 each. I think I paid $2 for the skirt.

This shirt is her favorite.

Bee Sting and more VBS pictures!

2015-10-01T14:54:00.003-07:00

On the third day of VBS my daughter got stung by a horrible flying demon spawn while at home. She was in the house drying dishes and something stung her on the arm. She has no idea what stung her.

She started swelling up pretty quickly and this was her face and lips after just a few minutes. I took pictures so that I could have an accurate account of how quickly her symptoms were progressing.

This is about 25 minutes later when we got to the hospital. Her lips even ended up with fever blisters and she said her ears were on fire as well.

Her ENTIRE body was covered in hives!

She got an IV and started to clear up pretty quick. This was about ten or so minutes after she got an IV.

We were in and out of the ER pretty quick. I think less than two hours all together. She now carries an epi pen with her wherever she goes as a precaution because we will not know if the next reaction will cause an anaphylactic reaction or not.

The wee one looking cute standing on the porch.

A couple more pictures from VBS. My wee one with her cousin.

Me helping in the kitchen with snack.

VBS in June

2015-10-01T14:41:00.001-07:00

I was the picture taker for the Vacation Bible School at our church back in June. I took well over 600 pictures in 4 days of all of the kids. Here are some pics of me and my kiddos that were there.

Me and Deb rocking our matching outfits! Dressing in a red shirt and blue jean skirt was not intentional but we both sure did look cute. LOL

The oldest two helping with the computer slide shows and sound system.

Me and my friend, Kim. She is a dear sweet woman.

It was a Jungle themed VBS.

Nancy took a quick picture of me. So I actually have a snapshot of me even though I was mostly the picture taker the whole time.

Uh oh! She was unhappy about something.

Random pics, Hot dog Shoppe, working in the garden.

2015-09-26T09:45:00.001-07:00

I am a total sucker for this vintage jewelry! I pick most of it up for .50-$1. I have a basket full of it now. I love to wear these bracelets with my floral 1950's style dresses.

Working in the garden....which was a total waste of time because it completely and totally drowned this year. It was a total loss! I think this is the first year my garden has ever been a total and complete loss.

Yep...all of these tomatoes drowned too!

You can see how muddy it is. I could barely even walk around. (Yes, I do wear my dresses and skirts all the time. LOL)

We absolutely LOVE the Hot Dog Shoppe! I think I could eat there at least once a week. It is a good thing I don't live that close to it or I would.

A random pic just because she is so cute!

Drive In

2015-09-26T09:35:00.001-07:00

We went to the Drive In to see Inside Out and another movie. We have a Drive In about an hour from me that is $20 for a car load to see two movies. That is a great deal for a family my size!

The Park andThe Lake for Memorial Day

2015-09-26T09:31:00.002-07:00

For Memorial Day I took the kids to the local park to play for a few minutes.

Then we picked up a chicken bucket from the local grocery store and went to the lake to play for a couple of hours.

Some Random Pictures from Summer!

2015-09-26T09:23:00.001-07:00

I saw this wall hanging at a garage sale and had to have it. I got it for only $2 so that made it even more awesome! It is on top of my china hut now.

I got some bag flowers to hang on my front porch to go with my three hummingbird feeders. My feeders were crazy busy this summer. I had as many as 7 hummingbirds at my feeder at one time. They would even come buzz our heads.

I picked up this doll stroller for a $1 at a garage sale for my wee one. She loved it!

My wee one is so adorable! This is a teddy bear my mom made her out of my dad's old shirts. He is greatly missed.

Just because I love this dress I will post a pic of me in it!

It's been a while!

2015-09-25T06:19:00.000-07:00

I know it has been a while since I last updated...over a year. Where has the time gone??
Anyways, the kids and I have been busy traveling and I have been doing a lot of canning and I have published another book and I am working on getting another book published soon.
I have a million pictures from my adventures of this passed summer and I will try to update my blog when I can. I would also like to start posting some of my thrift store finds and some of my tablescapes that I create. I have really been enjoying putting those together.

I'll start with some pictures of The Boy's birthday. He turned 13 this year!

We went to the Extreme Air Trampoline Park.

Then to lunch and Imagination Station to play.

Then we went to Yankee Lake Truck night.

I got a little muddy. I had a hard time getting my short self up in Matt's lifted truck and as you can see I got some mud on me

We met Matt and he gave us a ride in his truck as a special treat for The Boy for his birthday! It was a lot of fun!!

Visiting Santa and Christmas Caroling!

2014-05-30T18:55:00.000-07:00

Selfies at church before we went Christmas Caroling. I absolutely love Caroling and I could just sit around the house every evening and sing Christmas Carols too!

She was not actually upset at all! She was trying to tell me something and I just wanted to take her picture and she refused to smile because she didn't feel that I was listening. It sure did make for an adorable picture!

Ringing the Bell!

2014-05-30T18:39:00.001-07:00

My boys all took turns ringing the bell at Jak's. The older two boys did it too, I just didn't get any pictures of them.

God Bless the cashier who had to listen to the bell ringing for hours and hours!
