2. RT International's Southern Tabler's Meeting - STM 2010 in Cyprus from 25th to 28th March'2010. Registration is 250 euro and 5star hotel on the beach at 45 euro double room per person incl breakfast ! Details attached herewith.

3. Here are the details for the RT Sweden Masstour from 7th to 13th May' 2010 their AGM in from 13th to 16th May' 2010, where you will get a chance to meet 1000 Tablers and Circlers at their AGM. More info available at www.rts.org/vikingtour and www.rm2010.se.

RTI World Meeting 2010‏

Welcome to the first email ‘ flash’ about the RTI2010 World Meeting that is being held in Dubai Sept 29th to Oct 3rd 2010.

The purpose of this email is to keep you up-to-date with the event so that you may communicate this to your Tablers, 41ers and Circlers.

Please could you distribute this if possible to your members?
May I say that I have been overwhelmed with the response so far and only hope that you and your Tablers are going to take advantage of this once in a lifetime chance to attend an RTI World Meeting and have a family holiday for a fantastic Joe Tabler price.

REMEMBER YOU NEED TO BOOK A ROOM TO GET A CONFERENCE ID

A) I must inform you that the last date for the Early Bird Registration Price is Feb 28th. After 12 midnight GMT the prices will increase to the normal level. If you have registered but not paid, then unfortunately the price will also increase for you. We cannot have the state of affairs whereby 400 people have registered but only 100 have paid! Help us to make it better for you by paying early. The prices list is as follows: ( you can only register with a conference ID)

B) The hotel bookings are going exceptionally well and the first 100 heavily discounted rooms are selling very fast! Remember you will NEVER again find a 5 star resort in Dubai that is offering these prices. Also do not forget that you can extend your stay by simply adding 100 AED onto whatever room you choose. That includes both the hotel and the Spa!! WOW. The Palm Tree Court and Spa suites are awesome and are a 5 min walk from the hotel through lush palm trees. The rates are:

Invitation for the National Board 2010-11‏

Dear Friends,

At the outset, please accept warm greetings from your President (Elect).
As you all know, Ours is a Young organisation and very much transient in nature.

The Current National Board ,under the able leadership of President Himanshu, is doing a wonderful job. The new National Board will take over at the CoB at Bangalore on 10th July 2010.

The Process of forming the Tabling Team for 2010-11 has started. We requested the Area Chairmen to suggest names of Tablers who they feel have the potential to be part of the National Board. They were kind enough to suggest names. Few names we got through our various visits to the different tabling centres in different areas.

Currently we got a list of close to 100 tablers and it is very encouraging to see tablers coming forward to serve RTI.

To make the process more democratic and also in line with my belief that everything in RTI should be accessible and approachable to all tablers and an equal opportunity should be given to all tablers , I hereby invite you to be part of the National Board for year 2010-11.

If you think, you have an urge to serve RTI by being member of Tabling Team at the National Board, and are committed to give your time,energy,skills,creativity and positive attitude, kindly send an email to me as a confirmation.

Do highlight your skills and strengths, which portfolio you will be interested to work (give three preferences) and what are your commitments level. The list of current NEX portfolios are also attached.

We shall follow a transparent process of selection and based on evaluation and analysis of skill set and commitment, the best tabler for the concerned portfolio will be selected.

I can assure you that each and every member of the Tabling Team at the National Board will have enough freedom to work and will be supported and nurtured to enable achieving the vision and goals of RTI.

The last date to send in your email ,confirming your interest to work on the National Board, is 8th of March 2010.

IRO Round Table TUNISIA

CTM meeting of RT International at Liege,Belgium

Dear Friends,

Returned back yesterday after participating in a wonderful CTM meeting of RT International at Liege,Belgium. Wish to give you a brief highlight of our trip.

Participants: Sq. Leg Jitender Gupta & Tr. Jitendra Prasad from RT 118, Tr. Deepu Paul from RT 71 and yours truly.

CTM meeting and Gala Dinner - Liege - 27th February

    * The proceedings were conducted by RT Belgium President Tr. Stijn in the presence of EMA Chairman Tr. Daniel 'Tabasco' Forsberg.
    * VP RT Belgium Tr. Robby gave a presentation on their Extension Plan, which is to have 15 Tablers in each Table by the year 2015. Tablers were asked to get in prospectives keeping in mind the following: Keep the family involved / Give meaning to meetings / I know somebody/somewhere / upholding the RT image.
    * EMA Chairman Tr. Daniel spoke about Extensions to the following countries: Latvia, Spain and Georgia.

    * I was given an opportunity to give a presentation on FTE which was appreciated by all present there. Also invitedIRO RTBI Tr. Steve Lord to give his views on his association with our project.
    * The next CTM will be at Luxembourg.
    * EMA Chairman Tr. Daniel gave a presentation of the RT World Meet at Dubai, which led to a lot of debate on the high pricing of the event.
    * During lunch, we had the Banner Presentation wherein I exchanged President Himanshu's Banner with theirs as well as handed out RTI watches.
    * We were taken for a walking tour of Liege, which has the largest railway station in Europe and were made to climb almost 400 steps to have a view of the entire city. No complains at the end of the walk, as we were treated to varieties of cold beet and cheese. FYI, Belgium produces 150 varieties of Beer.
    * The evening dinner was a sit down 3 course dinner with a live band. Every participating country's national anthem was played and it came as a pleasant surprise to us when they played our national anthem too !!!

Had the pleasure of all of us being home-hosted by Tr. Stijn at his lovely farmhouse, an hour away from Liege. It was great on Stijn's part to make his father take us to two world heritage cities of Belgium - Ghent and Bruges on 28th and 1st.

RT Belgium Board Meeting - Brussels - 1st March

    * The National Board meets up on the 1st monday of every month to discuss plans for the month. Among other things that they discussed one thing that caught our attention was the 'widow fund'setting up of aWere invited to address and give our FTE presentation to the Board. They were amazed at the work done by us and posed quite a few questions.
    * The highlight of the meeting was when we were invited to apply for their "Golden Fleece Foundation" wherein upto 5000 euro is sanctioned to assist a country's community service project. This opportunity came our way thanks to our presentation but more importantly from the personal experience of President Stijn who has visited our schools recently. The funds would be handed out at RT International World Meet at Dubai.
    * Was carrying a couple of our Sergeants Band and handed them over to the 5 Area Chairmen as well as watches to 2 retiring National Board members.
    * After the meeting, we were taken around Brussels and then finally ended up at a Tabler's house who home-hosted us for the night.

All of us are thrilled with this international Tabling experience which had a lot of warmth and great hospitality. It definitely was a pleasure to meet up with old friends and make new friends as well.

Invitation to the International Tennis Open 2010 at Hungary

Dear Friends,

We invite you and every round tabler of India to Hungary, to take part in a great sport event in the summer of 2010!

The International Tabler Tennis Open has been organized since 2002, by the Hungarian RT-3, in Eger. All the tablers, their family members, and friends are widely welcome to this sport program.

The organizer RTH-3 offers Tabler Tennis Open not only for professionals but, for everyone who is interested in this sport. (or in drinking wine J) Traditionally this event runs at the same time as the Winefest of Eger, to guarantee the joy outside the tennis court as well. Because of this reason, every tabler will have a nice weekend, thanks to the cheerful programme full of quality wine, and to the populous international tabler crowd.

The most prestigious event of the Tabler Tennis Open is the Competition of the nations. In this category different nations' doubles are playing for the challenge-cup. We are looking for those doubles, who deputize their national Round Table organization on this event. More doubles can enter for this cup from one nation, but only one can win the final.

I would like to ask for your help to advertise this competition in your area, and see if some tablers would deputize India in the „Competition of the nations”.

Venue: Eger, Hungary

Time: 8th-11th July, 2010.

Proud moment , help was needed in USA

Dear Friends,

Right now, I am really proud to be a Tabler.

Since the day I joined Tabling I always heard that Tabling is very powerful and comes to help when in need.

Today morning, at 9 am, I got a call from HT of BRT 7, Tr. Anil Kesavan saying that a squareleg of BRT7 Pankaj Singh's sister is in need of help as she and her husband were in Mexico for a holiday and unfortunately, her husband passed away in Mexico. Also that she was alone there, not knowing anyone and needing help to reach Dallas (USA) with the body of her husband urgently.

All I did was send an email to the National Board of Round Table and a few Past Presidents of Round Table India. AND THE RESULT:

AND WITHIN 2 HOURS: a Tabler in Mysore, Arjun's client in Mexico had called her in her hotel room to comfort her and to help out.
A past President, Vagish Dixit, who is out of the country himself, contacted the ex ambassador of India to Mexico to use his good offices for helping her
Pramod, Chairman of RT 33 got a link in Indian Embassay in Mexico and gave me his contact for help there Past President Girish's friend has called her in her hotel room and assured of all help Abhishek saraf, from lucknow, contacted his business associates in USA who have a office in Mexico to help Kireet Modi, from Hyderabad gave a contact of a person having a factory in Mexico, who could help.

And all the above didnt know Pankaj Singh. This is the power of Tabling. We are blessed to be a past of this organisation. You are blessed to be a part of this organisation.

Lets pledge today that we will together always do our best to strengthen this organisation of ours and not let anyone harm it in any form or nature. Lets strengthen this organisation in all forms - communication within, international relations, maintaining relations with 41ers etc... Every single aspect has its importance which is seen only in times of need.

You never know when someone in future may need the help of this organisation.

We, at Udaipur Lakecity Round Table 206, are seeking for Children Film Festival wherein we would like to exhibit 2 short documentaries on current issue to the students of class 5th & 6th (numbering 1500) in a local theatre.

This is part of our community service and to gather media publicity and awareness in Udaipur for Round Table.

The agent to whom we have contacted in Mumbai is asking for a very high amount for the rent of the documentaries we have selected.

Our request is to those tablers who are associated with film fraternity and can arrange for short documentaries at a reasonable amount so as to enable us to showcase the same.

The documentaries which we have selected are : An Inconvenient Truth and Flow :Both released by Paramount Pictures.

Tables desiring to be considered for any of
the Trophies and Awards should send information in brief in the order and under
the headings for which points are set out. It is not necessary to send
information for the Best Secretary, Best Area Secretary, Prakash Nair Trophies,

Attendance Award - Donated by MRT1

Certificate of Merit and Rs. 501/- towards the
Table’s Project will be awarded for the Table which has the maximum number of
its active membership attending each Convention irrespective of the distance
traveled and the strength of the Table.

12. Peacock
Award

The Peacock Award levy as specified in Article
IV, Section 4 b ii) will be paid to the Fund by each Chartered Table. Any Table
which has been involved in the Inauguration or Charter of a Table during the
qualifying period may send in its application giving details of the extension
efforts put in and the amount spent by the Table. The National Executive
reserves the right to award the amount collected through the Peacock Award levy
to more than one Table based on the merits of the case. The award applications
should be submitted along with the ‘C’ Forms.

Round Table Fellowship Award

2. National Delegates attending the AGM in
person or Tablers holding a proxy are not eligible.

3. The nominated Tabler, should be a new
Tabler inducted into the Table movement on or after 1st of January of the Award

Eligibility for the Award and selection
Criteria

1. Every Area Chairman can nominate one Active
Tabler from his Area.

2. The adjudication of the award will be by
the President RTI.

3. The award will be judged on the floor
member’s fellowship activities, participation in Club and Association events
and individual efforts made to their success. It will also be judged on the
floor member’s service activities and his involvement in Projects through fund
raising or actual work on projects either at Table, Area or National level.
Every nomination should cover activities over a period of one Table year.

Nominations for the award are to be made by
the Area Chairmen giving the name of Tabler, Table, date
of joining, offices and Convenorships held under a resume of the activities of
the floor Tabler so as to reach the National Secretariat on or before the 15th
of October every year.

PTBAT conducted in Davangere

Dear Friends,

PTBAT
was conducted in Davangere on 24th Jan at Hotel Sai International. It
was discussed during the last AEX meeting & Chairman DRT 76 Tr
Shivkumar had made all the arrangements for having such a successful
programme. Sq leg Chari
was just a phone call away & readily agreed to come along with AST
Area 6 Tr Mukesh R & HRD convenor Area 6 Tr Kutty. They all reached
Davangere on Sat evening for a FIRE (red chilly with Vodka) fellowship
hosted by DRT 76....

Well
the next morning HRD started with Benne Dosa at the famous Dosa
joint....When our AHT DK is around all these joints start blooming up.

Back
to PTBAT it was my pleasure to introduce our trainers to all the
tablers & prospective’s of Davangere. We had 100% strength of
tablers, 02 prospective from DRT 76, Tr Rishi from HART 153 in total
make a strength of 14….

Self
introduction round will always be remembered with Tr Kamina Kutty
expressing Kamina in a filmy style & with all others followed in
their own style….

Tr Chari kept on the session go on well explaining the facets of tabling in detail.

After
the lunch we started with Mock table meeting….Oops really it was very
interactive if not most of us would have gone for a nap after having
Naidu Chops & Biryani….Well Tr Mukesh assisted the proxy chairman’s
on how to conduct meetings… hope this will surely help Davangere table
to move to great heights….Tr Kutty as sergeant during the mock meeting
entertained the floor by objecting for every proposal….

Well well it was time for vote of thanx & a photo session for the good work done…

Would
like to once again thank Sq leg Chari, Tr Mukesh, Tr Kutty, AHT DK, Tr
Rishi, Tr Shivkumar, Tr Srinivas & all tablers & prospective of

Ek Sham Gujarat Ke Naam

Wish u a very happy n prosperous new year.

We at HART 153 had a great, n different fellowship filled with lots of fun n entertainment on the 26th December 2009 at Hebsur Bhavan.

We started the event at 8pm, it carried the name and theme “EK SHYAM GUJRAT KE NAAM” hosted by our adorable tablers, Tr.Hitesh n Smt.Krishna and Tr.Sachin n Smt.Nisha.

Tr.Nikhil Dubeer and family honoured the request, as the guest for the event.

All tablers and their families dressed in typical gujrati style attended the fellowship, an excellent attendance we had. Games n prizes were arranged for the Kids under the banner of “Little Genius Club” and also games n dandia dance was arranged for the ladies and the tablers. A big screen was put up, screening the dandia dance so the tablers and the ladies along with the kids can see n perform the dandia.

Special attraction of the evening was the scrumptious, mouth-watering snacks n dishes spread at the venue. Chats, sweets, main course, rice, ice golas, etc made the crowd feel to be in gujrat itself. I was surprised to notice that nobody actually remembered that there was nothing non-veg in the menu.

Special attraction was the celebration of our area legend Sq.Leg, Srinath’s Birthday. We cut a cake n decorated his face in an artistic manner.

Best dressed couple, best dancing couple, six best kids performance prizes were given and also return gifts for all ladies n kids.

Kids, Ladies n Tablers, including guests enjoyed dancing in the night. And parted late night with wonderful memories to cherish.

Would like to share this experience of Area 1's Mega show Rock On.

One MEGA show which I have never seen of that magnitude. I would like to share these observations with you and I am sure you would feel the same as I felt.

There were huge hoardings in many places.
There was van at the entrance with a mobile Huge LCD display , showcasing RTI activities only.
All the workers ( helpers ) were wearing FTE printed T shirts.
The boundaries of barricades were covered by RTI brand ambassadors ( Kajol & Ajay) promoting RTI posters / huge frames.
The Stage was no less than FIFA Film fare awards stage with RTI LOGO at the centre.
Lightings , Lasers , world class sound and stage with lots of film / TV personalities shared the stage with their songs and dances.
The crowd was around 7000 + I guess.
The arrangements were immaculate. No complaints at all.
Every segment of ticket had a separate entrance and ROUND TABLERS had a privilege box.
The show started perfectly on time. with our President Tr.Himanshu , Tr.Sujay Giridharan, Tr.Rakesh Convener ( CEO what they call ) lighting the lamp.
Almost all the tables of the Area were there, Deepu, Venu, NHT John Chakola, Sejoe. Tr.Sendhil & Tr.Sumanth of MART 156 accompanied me.
The whole introduction was only about Round Table only by both MC and Circler.
When the show started in Gods own country, drizzle too started.
Believe me when I say, Not a soul moved out, Shankar Mahadevan kept the crowd rocking and None of us stepped out to cover.
Then the showers too stopped and the show was a MEGA hit.
Its heartening to see the crowd, dancing for every rocking number he was singing.
Sujay would be sending more detailed report from the organisers view.

Overall , as a spectator it was an wonderful experience and as a Tabler I was very proud to be there and felt an experience of a life time. Sujay & Rakesh and the Rock on team, superb show. I am sure its a bold decision to take this show of that magnitude. But at the end, the kind of publicity RTI earned is unmatchable. Well done A1.

Biggest rock concert, ‘Rock On’

Cochin just witnessed one of the biggest rock concerts ever thanks to Round Table India Area 1. ‘Rock On’, our publicity event for the year, was a rock show featuring Shankar Mahadevan, Karthik and a few notable names from the south. The show took place on December the 27^th at the Jawaharlal Nehru International stadium, Cochin.

The show was definitely the highlight of Area 1 activities and generated tremendous publicity for Round Table India as a movement.

We had maximum publicity for the event – over 40 hoardings across Kerala, frequent radio announcements on Radio Mango and regular advertisements in all leading newspapers including Malayalam Manorama, India’s leading daily. We have also raised a decent sum of money for our Area FTE projects.

The rock show saw a great overall turnout. Shankar Mahadevan performed all his ever green hits in Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam. The audience was captivated by his performance and crowd participation was terrific. Overall, the entire show was sensational and a huge success for Area 1.

I would personally like to thank National President Tr.Himanshu Gupta for attending the event.\

Rock On definitely gave tabling and publicity a New Dimension.

RT Finland visit to Coimbatore

Guys

I have a request here. Tr Risto Mietenen ( Raviola Rt # 9), Chairman Area # 1 , RT Finland is visiting India. He was in Goa for the past one week and is travelling to Coimbatore today.

Yesterday , due to the untiring efforts of Tr AJ Handa and Sachin Tegninkai , they reached Hubli from Goa. AJ and Sachin swung into action at the last moment and ensured everthing went off well. Many thanks to them ( Even though AJ has threatened to whack me if i ever said thanks).

Today at 1PM :- They will reach Bangalore in the Intercity Express from Hubli. They will then travel to Cbe on Road.

Today at 8 PM :- RT # 9 and RT # 9 are hosting a joint special meeting in his honor at the Cbe Club.

18th , 19th - Stay in Coimbatore .

20th Sunday :- They leave Cbe on road to Bangalore. They are scheduled to reach Bangalore by 1 PM.

I request the Bangalore tablers to take care of them until they board the Volvo Coach at 8 PM to Goa. Tr Risto and Cr Minne are travelling with their children aged 14 and 8.

I would highly appreciate if Blr Tablers would show them around the city, maybe take them around shopping etc...

Procedure to Open a Bank Account

Due to the rigid banking norms these days, Tables and Areas are finding it difficult to maintain and operate a bank accounts including opening new ones or changing signatories annually. Hence I would like to share a small brief on the procedure that should be adopted. I trust this information would be beneficial to you/your Table.

The same procedure would be used for the Area Bank Accounts.

Procedure to Open a Bank Account

A copy Charter certificate issued to your table at the time of charter can be produced to your banker as a proof for formation of your table. (Few Banks may not insists on this certificate)
Your table must have its model table rules, which is the bye laws/constitution of your table. If your table does not have any separate table rules, please submit a copy of the “Model Table Rules” as given in the Blue Book, which is deemed to be adopted by your Table. There need not be any separate trust deed for your table, as it is applicable for a registered organization only.
Please note that Round Table India is an Association of Mutual Persons and is an unregistered organization. Since Round Table India's income is only from its own members, the same is not liable for tax on the principles of mutuality, as its activities are confined to its members.
Your Table can pass a resolution in your Table Letter Head for opening of the bank account and it can be submitted to the bank along with specimen signature forms, mandate of operating the bank accounts etc.
Photograph of the authorized signatories, PAN Number/Passport xerox etc., of the authorized signatories can be produced to the bank.
With the above documents, it would be easy for you to open and operate the bank account.

Corporate Alliance , Fund raising

The objective of Corporate Alliances is to make the corporate feel Round Table India is the best organisation to partner with.

We are planning to do one MEGA show to raise funds. The show shall be Round Table India Art competition for disabled.

The action Plan:

We shall be holding in 100 centers min ( all tabling centers )
in Metros we shall have multiple centers.
We shall have ONE title sponsor for Rs. 1.0 Cr min ( 1 lakh per centre ). The best part in this is the Corporate is giving the amount from CSR and not from their marketing funds. For Corporate, the amount shall be matched by Round Table India and shall deliver 2.0 Cr worth of schools under the corporate name. ( Need all your support and approval )
We also shall have Co sponsor for the event ( State specific for ex. Joy Alukkas can be for Area 1 ) and the publicity shall be nation wide for them. The amount for Co sponsor shall be at Rs. 5.00 lakh each.
All the funds raised shall go to Round Table India Trust Account.
The tables can match FTE project and avail the funds back to the table.
The show shall be publicised and promoted by all our brand ambassadors.
We shall be promoting the show through all medias ( paper, TV, Radio etc )
99.9 % none of them shall charge for this. We shall be taking them as our partners. Shall work with Times of India and Star TV .
We shall be making a small video clip of all the brand ambassadors for telecast and publicity.
Shall be working on SMS fund raising system ( I believe one Tabler in Hyderabad who has got this SMS fund fund system.) I request your help in this.
Individual tables can raise funds on this show easily as it is publicised nation wide and such raised amounts shall be with Tables only.
The 10 winners of the competition shall be printed on our Greeting cards ( Need approval ) please note.

As of now the progress on work is..

We have 35 centers sponsored by Oxford library ( Thank Tr.Setu for your support through out )
Has approached coffee day for some more centers.
Requested Sq.Lg Paresh for the entry into the corporate. He has promised to do so. We shall be approaching the corporate for sponsorship this month.
Making a request letter to all our brand ambassadors and taking their appointments to meet them personally.

Request all incoming Area Chairman to appoint CAT conveners.

Area Cat's shall identify champions, who can get access to celebrities. I shall be sending the duties of Area CAT convenors which Area Chairmen could add and send it across to their respective CAT Convenors.

Tr.Sethu is helping out with on all the ways possible. I sincerely thank him for his help.
