Sometimes people come into your life
and you know right away that they were meant to be there,

How to find absolute path on a web-server (using PHP)

When using PHP, the simplest way to find the absolute path of your files/folders on the server is by creating a simple path.php file with the following contents:

Put the new file anywhere in the web-accessible folder on your server,
then just access that file from your favourite web-browser - and you'll have the absolute path shown to you.
Alternatively, you may use the following code:

This also should display the absolute path on your server.

Enable Advanced Features in PhpMyAdmin

This is what I did to enable the advanced features (using the latest version 3.4.x)

First login to phpmyadmin and create a new database called phpmadmin. When you have created the database select the import tab at the top of the page. Click the Browse/Choose file button and navigate to your phpmyadmin folder and open the scripts directory and select the create_tables.sql file. Click open to close the window. Then press Go (bottom of page). The database for the control user has been setup.

Next to setup the control user. Go to the phpmyadmin home screen and click the privileges tab. Click the add a new user link. For the username type phpmyadmin. Set anything as the password (Make sure you remember it). Choose the option to Create database with same name and grant all privileges And then click the Go button.

You have now setup the control user and the database for phpmyadmin. You now need to configure phpmyadmin. Open the config file (called config.inc.php). And remove the // from the start of the following lines

Make sure you set $cfg['Servers'][$i]['controluser'] to phpmyadmin and apply the password to $cfg['Servers'][$i]['controlpass']. Log out of phpmyadmin, then log back in (not as the control user). The advanced features should now be enabled.

Protect Your Blog From Plagiarize (Copy Paste)

May be you will be angry if your articel shown in other blog unexpectedly, moreover it without inserting the resource. I'll show you how to protect your blog from theif. But this trcik is pointed for small thief because it unusefull for expert thief. With this trick, the thief will unable to select your articel and unable to right click in your blog. But if you don't care about plagiarize, you will don't need this trick. Ok lets begin.

Go to your blog setting then chose "Template --> Edit HTML". Find this code <body> then replace with this code
<body onmousedown="return false" oncontextmenu="return false" onselectstart="return false">

Now your blog will be disable selecting and righ click, but the thief can still steal your articel by select "views --> page source" menu from their browser or by pressing "Ctrl + u", they can see your source code and can copy the articel from it. To deceive this, put your mouce cursor before this code <head> then press "enter" button many times, may be about 100 times :D the save your editting . Now if they press "Ctrl + u" they will only see a litle codes, he..he.. :D

But remember this trick is only work for a fool thieves, for an expert thieves is unusable.
I don't use it into my blog because there are many script that have to be copied by readers.

CorelDraw Installation Problem / ActiveX Error when opening Microsoft Management Console ( services.msc )

CoreDraw Installation Problem: When installing CorelDraw, buttons to press "next" or "cancel" may be shown without any text on them and therefore installation setup could not be carried out.

ActiveX Error: When you open Microsoft Management Console (by start > run > type "services.msc" ) you might get an ActiveX error message and some content could not be displayed.

REASON: Adobe Flash Player corrupted update.

SOLUTION:

NOTE: Before doing any changes with windows registry, backup the registry first.

To resolve this problem

go to start> run > type "regedit" (without quotes)> this opens the registry editor> navigate to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones\

(The zones are integer numbers 0, 1, 2, 3, 4... but for errorneous computers there is a parasite zone that is just above 0 and looks like an "L"... )

right click on that parasite "L" zone and delete it.

now go to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones\

it could contain a same zone, if there is a similar zone delete that too.

Exit registry editor and restart computer...

ActiveX error should now be gone.

Manually Updating the Microsoft Security Essentials (MSSE) Definition File (Offline Update)

Assumption: You already have Microsoft Security Essentials installed in your PC and want to update the virus signature database manually because of no internet connection or bandwidth usage limit or you just want to!

Requirement: You must be logged on to Windows as an Administrator.

Steps:

1. If you are running 32-bit (x86) version of Windows:
click http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=87342

If you are running 64-bit version of Windows:
click http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkID=87341

2. If you want to install the virus definition update immediately without saving the file click Run or else save the file by clicking Save, please do remember the location of the saved file.

3. Time for installation!

on Windows XP:
Double-click the saved file, then click OK.

on Windows Vista/ Windows 7:
Right-click the saved file and choose Run As Administrator. If prompted for password/confirmation, please enter the password or click Continue.

4. A file extraction dialog box appears and installs the update.
Then after the dialog box closes you can verify the updated definition version from Microsoft Security Essentials > Update > virus definition version | spyware definition version.

5. Your computer is a bit more secured now! Enjoy!

Here are few tips to remember when you enter the share market...

1. Start with the amount of money you can afford to lose:

   Sounds kind of weird? But share market can give you lot of money or take a lot of money away from you. You never know what is going to happen - whether you will become a winner or a loser because the outcome is not in your hands. So until you become accustomed with the irrational (bulls and bears are not rational animals!) behaviour of the share market don't bet the money that you cannot afford to lose.

2. Have a proactive mindset about the trade/position you are going to open:

   Always think about both the worst case scenario and average case scenario (leave the best case scenario alone - don't think about that... if your trade goes to the best case then voila!... enjoy!). At first always think about worst case. In stock market too much optimism can kill you. Have a clear and sound strategy.

3. Have patience:

   Very important point. Just because your neighbour or your friend is rushing to buy a stock because it has gone up 12% in that day without any logic whatsoever, don't jump in the madness. Have patience. Patience is a great virtue and it can give you good amount of money in the long run. Learn to control your emotions.

4. Learn more:

   Start learning about stock market. Learn technical analysis. Learn fundamental analysis. Knowledge is power. Educate yourself thoroughly. Everything takes time. The stock market is alluring because it looks like a fast money-making tool. But beware. Dedicate yourself to learning more. Practice and have discipline.

5. Don't look at the money while you trade:

   Focus on the correct process. If you look at the money it may imbalance your decision making. Be emotionally firm. Observe the behaviour of the stock. Believe me when you look at the money and the constant fluctuations it interferes with your emotions.We often take profits too early or don't set stop-losses.

6. Strictly use stop-loss:

   Always use stop-loss to protect yourself from massive losses. Stop-loss is essential and should be there.

7. Don't be too optimistic or too pessimistic:

   Over-optimism will kill you and over-pessimism will not give you below-average return. Be happy with moderate return. But if there is strong indication that a stock price will go up and you are certain about it, then hold that stock.

8. You cannot make a lot of money too quickly:

   Accept this fact. You just cannot make a lot of money too quickly. Sometimes luck might favour you but smart is the person who knows this truth. Don't buy stocks in margin. Margin can wipe you out. If you have the expectation to make large amounts of money quickly, you will tend to ignore all reason and often put yourself in high risk situations which you lead to your demise.

9. Monitor few selected stocks:

   You just don't have to monitor all the stocks that are there in stock market. Select some sound companies and see the behaviours of those stocks. You will get to see patterns. Read about their recent business policy, acquisitions etc. This will not only improve your understanding of those stocks but will also be less confusing.

10. Learn from your mistakes:

   Your confidence is what matters. If you make mistakes (and most certainly you will! - we all make mistakes) learn from those mistakes. Study your weakness and correct them consciously. If you are wrong in something, admit it and learn from it. Don't get depressed or angry. Just know that it was the experience that will give you the added advantage because you will not make the same mistake again. I made a lot of mistakes and today I am glad that I made those mistakes. Just learn from your mistakes.

A very detailed stepwise guide to NSR (national skills registry)

I am writing this one because I faced some problems regarding the same when I completed the NSR and my friends are also facing almost the same problems. So here the detailed steps::

1. Use IE (Internet Explorer) for this National Skills Registry. Although I am not an admirer of IE (in fact I don't like to use IE - Firefox is always better), IE is better in this case (and I strongly suggest to use IE here).

2. Go to https://nationalskillsregistry.com/

3. When asked "This page contains both secure and nonsecure items: Do you want to display the nonsecure items?" choose YES

4. Almost at the middle see for the "NEW USER?" go to the "Register Now" (provided you are registering for the first time or else "Complete your Registration" (provided you already filled up some details and have to fill the rest).

5. After you click "Register Now" a new pop-up window comes (enable pop-up windows for this site) https://nationalskillsregistry.com/nasscom/pageflows/itp/itpRegistration/begin.do

6. Read the instructions and at the bottom with "I Agree" selected, click "Submit"

7. Select NSR Registration Requested By "Registering at my own" (You can always change the details later, you don't need to select anything right now if you are a fresher and if you are presently employed give your employer name and ID. I telephoned Alankits Assignments, they suggested the same thing).

8. Then in the personal information fill up the relevant details. Mother's maiden name means "Surname that she used before she was married". You don't need to write the full name, only surname is required.

9. Fill up the present address block. Your NSR IT Card will be delivered to this address or else the permanent address (you can choose that later in the steps), so fill it up carefully.

10. Fill up the immediate previous address (if any). If you stayed at your present address for less than 1 year, then only you need to fill up this block else this block cannot be filled up.

11. Permanent Address Block. If it's the same as the present address then the present address will be reflected back in this block else you need to fill up the permanent address.

12. Other Personal Information: Country code for India is 91 (Don't write + or 0, only the country code). If you don't know your country code then you can find it here: http://www.kropla.com/dialcode.htm. Then write state code i.e. the STD code (Example. For Kolkata it is 33) and then the phone number. For you area's STD code look here: http://www.indiapages.in/STDCodes.htm
For Mobile Phones only ISD + Your Mobile No. (ex. 91xxxxxxxxxx)

13. Enter your E-mail ID carefully because you IT-PIN will be initially sent to your email.

14. If you have Passport and/or PAN enter the details, else leave the fields blank.

15. Authentication part is the next one. Fill it up. Login Id can be anything you wish (more than 5 letters). There are 2 passwords Login and Transaction. Password Rules are given there, read that and then set the passwords (passwords cannot start with a number, it must contain one uppercase and one lowercase letter and a number ; minimum length is 8 characters and maximum is 15 characters). Two password cannot be same. In short your passwords should be strong passwords.

16. Then press "save and continue".

17. Here you will get your Acknowledgment number. Write it down or note it.

18. Then you will have to fill up the education details. If you don't have any professional certificates, leave them blank. (remember you can always change then later, so don't worry).

19. If you are not currently employed, then when asked for "Presently employed"... choose "No" (this is what I did because I am a fresher). This will make all the fields inactivate and you can proceed. Else fill up the relevant details. (Again if you wish you can always change these things later).

20. Choose the card delivery address.

21. Click on "Submit and View".

22. The details entered by you will be displayed in a single page. Here you can either modify them (in case of errors or if you wish to add something extra) or leave them as they are after re-checking them.

23. Then click on "Continue your registration by doing the payment".

24. Registration amount will be displayed and you have to choose the payment mode.

25. You can either pay online or at the location of POS (Offices assigned by NASSCOM).
I am no-one to suggest anything but still I think payment at POS is a good option because you have to go there to submit your fingerprints, so then you can also pay the fees along with your fingerprints. You can pay by either cash or DD.

26. Now you will get your ITP Web Registration Acknowledgement Form
For so long I suggested you to use IE, now you will find why! If you did the same thing in Mozilla Firefox, then you also get additional address details when there is no address column on the left! so IE is better in this NSR case!

27. Print the (ITP Web Registration Acknowledgement Form). If you don't have a printer with you now right now, then you can always enter your NSR account by going to "New User?" to "Complete your Registration" by entering the Acknowledgment Number & Password and from there on get this acknowledgment form and print it.

28. Then with your photo attached and signature in the form, go to a POS (Point Of Service) with the fees and a Photo identity [Voter's Id card/Passport/Driving License/Bank Pass Book (with Photo)/College Icard (not more than 1 year old)/PAN card/Employment Identity Card] within 50 days of completing the online registration. The validity of the acknowledgment form is also mentioned in the form itself.

29. The whole process of taking fingerprints takes about 5-7 minutes.

30. After paying the fees and fingerprints, you will get your ITPIN in a short duration. It will be sent to your email id (the one you provided).

31. You will get your card within 20-30 days. You can check the card status also.

Disneyland in Disguise

We have all heard about Disneyland and we really want to visit that place. Now many of us don’t have the time and money to go there. But it seems there is an alternative solution.

West Bengal has changed the way people think about entertainment. We don’t need to go to Disneyland and in fact we don’t want to. The reason? Because it’s right here with us!

Okay then, get ready to dip in the entertainment world! Here we go…

Let’s start with the roller-coaster. If you ride a car or bike or bus whatever, you will get the feeling of being in a roller-coaster. The ups and downs everything is here. In fact we offer more than what Disneyland offers… the roller-coasters here are truly beyond world class and thanks to the quality maintenance of the roads. After that bumpy ride in the roller coaster let’s relax and let’s play the “Patience game”.

This “Patience game” is designed keeping many things in mind. First of all, patience is a desirable quality and so that you can nurture that hidden quality in you, here buses run very less. So, if you want to take a bus to go to your workplace or home, you have to wait a long time. Secondly, Employers love this quality in their employees. So it’s good for the people who are looking for a job too. Thirdly it is for meditative purposes also cause that time you can concentrate on something else! And most importantly it reduces pollution… an idea can change your life… and this innovative idea should be implemented by first world countries to save the world from global warming.

Now, if the God blesses you and you do get a bus, there is another game in place – “Run Baby Run” game… the buses never stop at the exact places and you have to run to catch the bus. In the movie “Forrest Gump” there was someone to tell Forrest to run but here you have to tell that to yourself. If you are not a good runner or if the bus is “house-full”, then wait again for the next lap to begin. Sounds fun? There are many more...

Now here drivers are fond of the game “Need for Speed”… you guessed it… its total fun and total chaos. This sometimes leads to “Break the Rules” (to be specific traffic rules) game. Everyone is not a born gamer and some players do make mistakes. Then?? Then there can be two games, but you get to see only one, either “Hit and Run Game” or “Total Wreckage Game”.

“Hit and Run Game” is interesting because it is inherently followed by another game called “Catch Me if You can!” If other players don’t catch the running player then he survives and is in game. But after that “Catch and Fire” game starts. Players catch whatever they get in hold and put those unlucky things on fire. Have you noticed how many games are inter-related? Time goes so quickly when you are having fun!

Now we have introduced another new game and it is really gaining popularity! It’s the “Bandh Game”. Some also call it “Strike Game”… personal preferences. But “Bandh” is the official term… doesn’t matter, everything goes in entertainment. In this game, you are supposed to be in your house. And whether you like it or not, you’re in the game.

This whole thing is telecasted by our talented professionals. There also you get another game –“News: Count the Repeating”. In television news channels the same thing is repeated again and again. If you want to get the prize of the game, your job is to count how many times the same thing is repeated… and to tell you a little secret, most of the time the counting value will be more than 10.

Everyone is entitled to receive the same privilege. That is what we believe here. So we take uttermost care so that no one gets extra privilege. But for the sake of entertainment we have an old game named “Bribe Game”. Here you have to bribe the higher officials to get things done. But not all the officials play this game. So its availability depends on your luck.

In this recession period we have introduced a new game “Job Exam Game” to inspire people and to show them the prosperity we are having now. In any Job examination you will get to see thousands and thousands of students appearing for the exam. That gives us motivation and shows that here students are superior in knowledge and so many students are eligible for the exams yet there are very few places to accommodate them. Actually this shows how advanced we have become and this whole thing is worth envying for the other countries and states. Obviously we are proud! And the game is fun too… we get to see so many new faces, make new friends… all for a social cause… a social get-together… we are in a global village and there should be some means to know each other.

Oh… I forgot to tell you about one expensive game… “Education Game”

It is a paid game and if you don’t buy the tickets, you are not allowed to play it. And mind it, securities are tight and sharp. So play this game with tickets. Tickets cost vary and depends on the certificate (the prize) you wish to receive. And we don’t disappoint anyone because we value everyone’s sentiment. So, bring in the money, and get a certificate. And the Syllabus? Why bother? Harvard, Princeton or MIT don’t have this syllabus… here the syllabus is antique (here the university believes “old is gold”).

“Spot the Not”… just like Ripley’s Believe It or Not… in this game you have to guess who is telling the truth and who is telling the lies. This game is tough. You need to practice a lot. The general playgrounds are career-fairs, advertisings, seminars etc. Don’t take this one casually if you really want to win the game.

“Guess the Time” is one of my favourites. If there is load-shedding, then you have to guess after how many hours current will again come. Again a little secret… think logically and place your guess to be more than 1-2 hours. But here also luck factor comes and I have seen the time to as high as 16 hours! So pray and then guess. Here also we are saving natural resources as coals and other fuels are depleting day-by-day and to be frank you should feel how the life is in the deep jungles where there is no electricity… you should feel those feelings also.

At night we get to play another game called “Find the Holes” (yah, its night show only… and not available in day because in daytime it's all visible!) in the roads. We care for you and your fun. So there are plenty of holes in the roads and they come in variety of sizes. At night the thing gets interesting and we really want to see everyone with a smile on their face. And don’t panic if you sometimes fall in the holes… its all part of the game… you are getting a chance to cultivate your sportsman spirit… and that is what counts.

“Your Take on Deserts” is a game that depends on the session and is not always available. In this game, you will get no water supply and you get a feeling (maybe less but the best money can buy) how life is in deserts. Again this game is not always available.

I am in love with this place and I really feel sad for all of them who have not visited this splendid place and spent a fun-happy moment. These are the games that I have found for your entertainment… what are your takes about it?

This theorem can be supported by a mathematical equation based on the following three postulates:

Postulate 1: Knowledge = Power (Knowledge is Power)
