The statue of a trumpeter in the gardens of the castle is dedicated to the trumpeter.

Mount Cole Reservoir constructed in 1881 is a relatively small reservoir of 801ML which is still supplementing the water supply to Ararat. The reservoir is a great location for bird watching or a picnic but is only accessible with vehicles with good ground clearance.

The tower was sporadically used as prion. In 1823 the tower was sold to private ownership and pharmacist Will added a wooden chamber with an iron ring for storks to nest. In 1930 the tower was donated to the city of Tiengen.

The heritage listed gothic style was built in 1861 as independent church which became redundant in the late 1970s due to unification and subsequently purchased by the Presbyterian Church in 1984. The heritage listed Uniting Church from 1894 was originally built as a Presbyterian Church. The red brick church with asymmetrical front facade is situated on one of Castlemaine's highest points.

Gandhar Pale Caves are situated near Mahad in the Raigad district. These are on the Mumbai-Goa highway and can easily seen while driving. The caves have probably taken the name from two villages in the vicinity of Mahad viz Pale village. According to historians and archaeologists these Buddhist caves were excavated between 150 to 300 AD during the reign of Prince Vishnupalita Kambhoja). There are in all 31 caves.

Kondana Caves are located in Village Kondana, 33 km north of Lonavala. This cave group has 16 Buddhist caves. The caves were excavated in first century B.C. The construction on wooden pattern is notabale. One can reach the cave by hiking from Rajmachi village. The other route is from Khopoli-Karjat road. About six km. from the Karjat railway station and at the base of the old hill fort of Rajmachi. The cave has only one inscription on the front of the Chaitya, which gives information about donors.

Built in the 15th century the tower formed once part of the fortification walls but was used as prison for most of its time. The Frauentor from 1318 was one of the gates to the city and is 35.5 metres high. Ravensburg has more than a dozen of towers from the 14th and 15th century and is often referred to as the city of towers.
