The Palácio da Bolsa (Stock Exchange Palace) is a historical building in Oporto, Portugal. The Palace was built in the 19th century by the city's Commercial Association (Associação Comercial) in Neoclassical style. It is located in the Infante D. Henrique Square in the historical centre of Oporto, designated World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The interior of the Palace, only finished in 1910, was magnificently decorated by several artists. The central courtyard (Nations' Courtyard - Pátio das Naçoes) is covered by a large metallic, octagonal dome with glass panels.

This picture was taken near the heart of the King's Knot and shows some of the surrounding countryside and woodlands covering the hill leading to Stirling Castle. The road into Sencelles. This is early summer where the fields have just been harvested. In Spring these are bloom of flower and almond blossom. Sencelles is a rural town with a couple of small bars. Nothing for the tourists in terms of development.. which is of course part of its charm.

Son Jorda is one of the secret places on the island. The huge old farm complex has been expensively re-furbished to a high standard. The interior has cool lounges , a presentation room and a large restaurant. Outsite the facilities include a tennis court, a large paved shady patio and of course a tranquil swimming pool. Bicycles are available for all the family. A short drive from the finca reaches many of the villages of the centre of the island, and all the major beaches are only 30 min away. Panorama taken from Skye Bridge. The picture shows a view back down Lochalsh with views of both Kyle of Lochalsh and Kyleakin. In the other direction, the skyline of the Red Cullin hills are visible as a silhouette by the late afternoon sun.

Where the plains of central mallorca drain into the bay of Alcudia there is a large natural reserve of bracken water, fresh water fish and wild life. Criss crossing this reserve are foot paths and cycle paths. In the centre of the reserve is a tourist information centre with guides , maps and a small cafe ( or coffee machine ). You can rent bicycles at the entrance to the reserve.
