What is it like to take a test online? How are the tests different from ones given in a classroom? One would assume they won't be as difficult since you'll have your textbook and homework in front of you.</p>
<p>The reality is that online tests are just as difficult as in-class tests. Yes, you have your homework and book there for reference, but often times there will be a time limit set for the test. Plus, the instructor will often ask more questions than there is time allotted to look up within the time limit. Of course, you'll have time to look up some answers, but there is also the&nbsp; possibility of essay questions, which require more reflection and critical thinking.</p>
<p>To succeed, you'll have to read the material and prepare just as you would for any test. Make an outline of the chapters, so you can quickly flip to the chapter notes. Overall, many students find online tests easier. However, you'll only do well if you study and prepare just as you would in real life. For more insight into improving your online (and offline) test taking skills, read <a href="&lt;a href=&quot;http://gan.doubleclick.net/gan_click?lid=41000613802076035&amp;pubid=21000000000209004&quot;&gt;test taking skills&lt;/a&gt;" target="_self">How to Improve Your Test Taking Skills</a> by McGraw-Hill Staff.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Taking an <em>online class</em> isn't about how easy or hard it is, but, rather, how much you get out of the class.</p></div>

"Pregnancy yoga is a great way to meet other mums-to-be in the area and to treat your hard-working body to a bit of relaxation. Laurence is a great teacher and and the techniques she teaches have given me more confidence in my ability to manage the challenge of labour. I really find that yoga helps me to unwind and I always sleep so much better on Wednesday nights after yoga! "

So, what's so special about Turner's online Pregnancy Yoga class?

According to Turner, Pregnancy Yoga focuses on the breath for general well-being, body awareness, connection, visualisation, and relaxation with the view to preparing and opening the body for labour. These techniques are recognised by the Yoga Alliance and developed by Vicky Oliver

Specifically, you'll learn:

By regularly practicing the yoga positions you’ll build strength for an active birth, and encourage your baby to find its optimum position in the last few weeks of pregnancy.

You’ll soften and open your body, and experience a quiet and tranquil state of being that moves you inwards to feel the connectedness to baby.

Practicing the relaxation, breathing and visualization techniques will quieten and condition your mind ahead of labor, helping with anxiety

Yoga is widely recommended by the healthcare practitioners to pregnant women as a way of keeping fit and flexible.

The emphasis on breathing makes space for the internal organs, instills mindfulness, draws a higher level of oxygen into the womb and more overtly fosters the mother and baby bond; for you share one breath.

Since the economic collapse in 2008, here's something that we've all probably heard a friend or relative say, "I'm waiting for my company to lay me off, and I'm considering getting online training as a back up job." Many people in that boat are expressing an interested in taking an online medical transcription or medical coding course.

A Big Career Step

A number of people considering the medical transcription field have take the online class offered by CareerStep.

One such student says:

I am studying with Career Step and in the advanced portion of the transcription. Yes, it's tough, but anything worthwhile doing can be challenging. I am a Platinum Enrollment student and the school has been very supportive. The chats and forums are a wonderful research and this school sends you a transcription pedal and software that help you simulate working in the real world (on your PC) while doing the transcription. I highly recommend Career Step!

Another Career Step student reports:

For what it is worth, I graduated from Career Step with Honors in November of 2008 and was employed by a local company within 2 weeks. I have not paid for anything out of my pocket, my employer supplied everything I needed. Yes, the course is difficult, but if it weren't, would you really be learning anything? Myself, I enjoyed the challenge. Career Step was founded and set up by a Certified transcriptionist so they fully prepare you. My employer was impressed with my skills and knowledge.

Additional Online Training Solutions

An alternative to the Career Step online medical transcription training class is the Medical Coding Certification Review Blitz Videos. According to Laureen Jandreop, CPC, Sr. Instructor, medical coders make on average $7,000 more per year when they are certified. So, whatever route you choose to getting your certification, it seems well worth the time and expense to pass the test. Jandreop's videos, according to the Instructor, are packed with all a candidate needs to know to pass the national 5.5 hour certified professional coder cxam.

Embarking on a career as a medical coder is a big step. Before you leap to an online class, you might want to invest a few dollars in an eBook called Medical Transcriptions A to Z.
<xhtml:img xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/Pansophic/~4/-3NDV3Z4suc" height="1" width="1" />

For instance, the following is a real question that I found posted in an online forum:

Is food safety manager certification the same as ServSafe? I was required to take the test for ServSafe, because I'm a cook in professional kitchen, and I passed the food safety manager certification exam. Is it the same as Serv Safe or is there a difference? Is it recognized by the health department?

And the answer to these questions can be confusing, too. Here's what two food industry insiders said in response:

Answer #1: Servesafe is a company with a number of different types of training. Lots of companies provide hourly food handler training, but call your health department to be sure the place you want to take it has been approved by that health jurisdiction... All companies have to be approved through a local health department though. So, it really depends on your area...

Answer #2: The FSMC is required only when a County/State Health Department approves of its use. The FSMC courses are 2-3 full days are are taught by certified Food Safety instructors. You should verify with the health department you are dealing with looks at them as equals.

In an Internet cluttered with amateurish 'me too' math sites, Math Foundation offers an innovative and genuinely effective "short cut" way of getting to grips with Basic Math skills. A major challenge when teaching math is keeping the lessons interesting. This is where most math courses lose it, however not 'Math Foundation'. Thanks to the insightful and ingenious animations, even the most restless kids (and adults) will remain intrigued throughout. The site is ideal for anyone studying math for the first time... or revising for math exams... or returning to education after a gap... or who's simply interested in mathematics. Whatever your interest, you won't find a faster way of learning basic math anywhere. It's one of the best math sites we've come across in a long time, and It gets our highest recommendation.

The Math Foundation is an award-winning program which features interactive e-learning tools to help you master the concepts of mathematics quickly and easily. Their courseware is designed for adult learners, homeschool, and traditional students.

I wish this online math class was available when I was a student. I didn't do well in math, but I think if I'd been able to take an online math class like The Math Foundation's offering, I might have come to some of the same conclusions as the FunWithFigures did. I certainly wasn't having any fun with figures as a student.
<xhtml:img xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/Pansophic/~4/YBCHfQXn578" height="1" width="1" />
