This nicely detailed paper model is compliments of Julius Perdana, the talented designer at Paper-Replika.com.

Although he is just a crop duster, Dusty dreams of competing in air races. With the help of his friends he enters the Wings Around the Globe race.

Dusty paper model from Disney's animated movie Planes

Cessna 188 crop duster

http://paper-replika.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=8580:dusty-disney-planes-paper-model

As with all of the airplanes in the Planes animated movie, Dusty is loosely based on a real aircraft, the Cessna 188 crop duster. To my eyes he is kind of a cross between the Cesnna 188 and a P-51.

Early versions of the Cessna 188 were called the AGWagon, later versions with improved performance and features were the AGPickup, AGTruck, and AGHusky. This line of aircraft premiered in 1965 and was produced through 1985.

There is a wealth of information on the Cessna 188 at aviastar.org.
http://www.aviastar.org/air/usa/cessna_188.php

Celebrate Easter with a Hall Bulldog!

Happy Easter!

Hall Bulldog Racer paper model in Easter colors

I did some hunting and found a plane model for Easter. Nothing is known about what this space plane did for 15 months or what it will be used for in the future, but it is interesting none the less. Looks like a miniature Space Shuttle.

X-37B Air Force Spy Space Plane paper model

Here is a nice little paper model of the space plane. Looks like it may be the plane that the neat flying wing in Indiana Jones was modeled after. It always fascinates me how far aeronautics advanced during WWII. We started off with bi-planes and ended up with Jets, Rocket Planes, Flying Wings, etc.
This model costs 6.50 to download, but if you are as interested in flying wings as I am at the moment then it is worth the small price.

http://ecardmodels.com/1100-lippisch-concept-multi-layer-paper-model-p-2255.html

Nice little B2 Stealth Bomber paper model

Following on our last Flying Wing posting, here is a nice little paper model of the Grumman Spirit B2 Stealth Bomber. All of these models are a little more complex to build, but the final result is worth the time and effort.

V-1 Flying Bomb "Buzz Bomb" Paper Model from World War II

This is one of my more favorite builds.
You can find Ralph's models here:
http://www.currell.net/models/mod_free.htm#v1

Great Paper Model of the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress

There are only a few paper models of the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress from WWII and the nicest is over at Fiddlers Green. Great resource for any model builder, and you don't have to buy anything to access the information, it isn't hidden behind any members only log in.

So take a look at Fiddlers Green: www.fiddlersgreen.net

And here is the link to the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress Paper Model page: www.fiddlersgreen.net/models/aircraft/Boeing-B17.html

Welcome to the New Paper Craft Planes Blog

This blog will be focusing on paper models and paper craft airplanes.
