No kidding, I mean my spirit is lifted, my heart refreshed, my demeanor brightened by the the leaves that are popping out, the flowers that are blooming. There is something about the dead, bare, desolate winter that is taxing to my soul….and something about Spring that is a balm to my Spirit.

This week, your challenge is so simple. Grab your camera and go outdoors. Take a few pictures of the new growth, and enjoy the creative mind of the Artist who sends Spring annually. Notice the colors, shapes and brushstrokes He creates with, and praise Him for the diversity. If you feel led, come back and use this as your prompt. Create a project in your album, art journal, or whatever, that praises the God of Spring. But, here's an interesting bit of trivia for you: Did you know that when a king rode into town in biblical times, the animal he rode upon had significance? If he was riding a horse, he came to conquer. If he came on a donkey, he came in peace. Now, what did Jesus ride on Palm Sunday?

Now, let me ask you this- what do you picture when I say the word peace? Is it a person? Place? Has you life been so filled with battle, that you can't even picture it? Take some time, this week, and try. Picture "peace" in your head. For me, it would be a tropical beach. This is the setting where I have known the greatest peace. Now, add that picture to a project. Jesus is the Prince of Peace- so take that image of peace, and give it over to Him.

Scripture of the Week is a regular feature of A Faith Perspective- the faith booking blog hosted by Scrapbook News and Review. What's yours? Come on, be honest. What is it that you know you should do, that you just dread? Does your attitude reflect it? Here's a simple way to know the answer to that question- do the other people in your life know that you hate it? If they can see from your attitude that you despise that activity, you're not doing it in the name of Jesus.

Here's your challenge this week. It's 2 part and I'm going to make it short, sweet, but not so easy. Name the one thing you dread most, and do it for Jesus, in the name of Jesus. Do a project that names your dread, give it over to Jesus, and pledge yourself to this verse.

Simple verse. Hard lifetime of learning to apply it, huh? Wonderful!

This was my very first one, so be gentle in your critiques. Made it a few months ago for SNR's review of Darkroom Door Stamps....I LOVE Darkroom Door stamps! The background is alcohol ink on glossy cardstock. After you have the stripes and color comination you're looking for- sprinkle blending solution over the top to create waterdrops. Nothing too fancy, no grand destinations, no grand plans- and that was the predesigned beauty of it all. Just a chance to rest and recharge. Last night, I chose to rent a movie that most of my preschool class has seen...one that was marketed to the younger crowd. I won't name any names, that's not the point. What is? I watched this movie, and was appalled at the language and off color jokes. I walked away with this verse in my head. Do we apply it to our tv viewing? movies? video games?

Don't get me wrong, I'm certainly not perfect. I have what I call bubblegun shows- no point, very little plot, but they're fun. But they are also the type of shows that you don't think about again. I'm still thinking about the movie from last night. My plea, this week, is an encouragement- do you moniter your video intake...for yourself, and your children? As you are monitering it for your children, do you explain to them why they are not watching a certain show--what you find questionable? Some day, they will be making these choices, on their own. Are you training them to make wise choices?

Scripture of the Week is a regular feature of A Faith Perspective- the faithbooking blog and column sponsored by Scrapbook News and Review Magazine. He was with God in the beginning.
Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life, and that life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it. " John 1:1-5

Have you started your Christmas preperations, yet? Maybe you've done a little shopping, made a few gifts, or planned who will be coming for dinner. Have you started decorating for Christmas, yet? the tree, the ornaments, all the lights...they are just so beautiful. The Bible says that Christ is the light of the world, the one true light at Christmas and throughout the year.

We put up trees, stockings and treasured ornaments, every year. We decorate our homes inside and out. But, do we shine the one true Light of Christmas? Do we remember, portray, and lift up the one true Light? I have an idea, this year. One less decoration, one less party, one less gift, this year...this is my suggestion. Instead, one more act of kindness, one more person told, one more life reached, one more block of time spent with Him. This is how we shine the Light. This is how we really 'decorate' for Chirstmas.

Scripture of the week is a regular feature of A Faith Perspective, the faith booking blog sponsored by Scrapbook NEws and Review Magazine.
