Kip Hassell at the Manufacturers Cup: No Joke!

Happy weekend Pro Street Racing fans, we got some news for you...

We got news that yesterday morning, Aruban rider Kevin "Kip" Hassell boarded an American Airlines flight to Raleigh-Durham - North Carolina, USA...
where he will finally meet the NO JOKE Pro Street bike and the Williford Racing bunch.

Kip will make his first shakedown runs this Saturday night at the Piedmont Dragway, NC then will head to Valdosta, GA where he'll compete for the first time on US soil.

As you can see it's a turbo bike with all the works, easily capable of low 7 sec passes, it has dipped into the 6s.

We wish Kevin "Kip" Hassell and team Williford Racing the best of luck and hope to see him in the winner's circle.

Aruba's Extreme Import Int'l is back with a bang!

This is the 3rd edition of the legendary EXTREME IMPORT INTERNATIONAL and it will be a match race battle of ARUBA versus the WORLD!

A best out of 3 race will decide who is best, no ladders, no qualifying ETs...
Just two cars trying to get those two "W"s!

Frans Ponson's 3G Racing put together some heavy match-ups:

The first match-up is between two piston giants, the battle of the Toyotas, 2JZ vs 2RZ, USA vs Aruba, the Cocoliso Lexus vs Vick Racing Starlet both running low 7s...it will be a great matchup!

Next match up is between two evenly matched machines, both modified chassis, both running 2RZ engines! It's Tony Negron's El Estresico, no stranger to drag racing in Aruba vs Aruba's fastest piston pro import, the Super Scion! Who will win, USA or Aruba??

Here's the only Piston vs Rotor match-up, El Chapita Racing 1st gen RX-7 with a turbocharged 13B rotary engine vs Aruba's Dan Turbo Starlet, powered by the awesome Toyota 2RZ engine, both running mid-7 seconds. Who will win?!

Here's an interesting match-up, it's an all-rotary, all "full chassis" match-up with Ingemar Meyer's Street Drama is Back 13B RX-3 against Aruba's 20B monster Nightmare Racing RX-8.
Curacao vs Aruba, 2-rotor vs 3-rotor, let's go!

It's not only about the imports, here we see the bigV8 boys also showing their stuff, USA vs Aruba, Nitrous vs Turbocharged. Introducing Ozzy Moya's DCM Motorsports X275 Mustang from the US vs Aruba's fastest Top Sportsman, Burty Kock's Helter Skelter Cutlass.

Expect some big time wheelies from this Mustang!

The main attraction is the 13B match-up between Frans Ponson and 3G Racing's Hailey RX-7 from Aruba and the current 13B world record holder Rafaelito Racing's Mech-Tech College sponsored RX-8 from Puerto Rico.

Frans' personal best is set at 7.04 @ 190 MPH while Rafael "Falito" Rivera holds the current 13B world record at 6.67 @ 203.77 MPH set last month at Orlando. Frans has something up his sleeve!!

Racing fans, the 2014 racing season will officially begin on Saturday, 29th March 2014 with the first "Street Legal" event which is now named "RONDEKLIP SHOOTOUT"

The organization renamed the event after creating...

a new series called "REAL STREET LEGAL". The first Real Street Legal was held on Sunday, March 23rd 2014...it had over 60 cars and bikes, read more about it at: http://www.tcobcur.com/ver4/real-street-legal-1st-event/

The action continues this Saturday at Curacao Int'l Raceway with the Rondeklip Shootout.

Doors open at 7:00 pm and the prices are reasonable....

CRCCDA 2014: Giving back to the community!

This past Saturday, 22 March 2014 - the CRCCDA guys went to give a helping hand at the AJMG club house in Buena Vista.

It's the effort of the Oranje Fonds who...

...organized on 21 and 22 March 2014 - along with thousands of social organizations - the largest voluntary action of the Kingdom.

The Curacao Radio Control Cars Drivers Association registered and offered to volunteer for this incredible incentive. The AJMG club house in Buena Vista needed attention, so the guys were there from 9 o'clock to begin with the painting activities.

The guys had fun, spending quality time with each other and at the same time giving back to the community.

Here are some pictures of the work done.....

The day came to an end, but it was obvious that there was much more that could be done, so the guys offered to finish the job as soon as supplies are available. There's much more work to be done on the roofing and also to finish painting.

It was a great experience!

"We'll be there again to finish the job, we can do this every weekend, as long as it takes, AS LONG THERE'S LEMONADE!"

Sunday, February 16th 2014 CRCCDA held its first National race. Team PapoRacing R/C got a couple of podium finishes, a great way to start the 2014 racing season.

Both Paolo Inocencia and Shaindro Daal got to take pictures that Sunday afternoon...

In the GTP electric category Paolo got the top qualifying spot and headed confidently to the finals, in which he lead for a great part of the 10 minute race. After 8 minutes or so, the car began running very loose and unpredictable. Winfred, who was in second place, quickly caught up and passed Paolo for the win. Paolo finished 1 lap behind Winfred. Shaindro also remained cool for this long 10 min race and ran consistently, showing great control. He managed to finish 31 laps, only 3 laps behind the leader. The final position is as follows;

In Touring Car electric Paolo placed 3rd behind Winfred Antonia and Patrick Spong. Spong's TC was unbeatable and really dominant, he got it dialed in on those foam tires. Paolo encountered power issues, with the batteries not performing the way they're supposed to, he lost his 2nd place position to Winfred. After 3 minutes or so, the car would not hit its top speed. The handling of the Team Associated TC6.1 worlds car was impeccable, very very fast inside, the technical part of the track, but slow on the straights. The results for the TC-elec category is as follows followed by the 1/8 LMP category result;

Update: Open Invitational XV 2014

With just 91 days remaining for the biggest R/C event in the Caribbean, drivers and teams are already preparing for this mega event.

We've seen pictures from Aruba, showing the

Lithium R/C Team plotting the new track layout to begin with their practice weekends. We've also received many setup and combination questions from many racers from abroad...you could say WE ARE ALL EXCITED.

Up to right now there are 50+ registrations for this race, with competitors from 6 countries which include Aruba, Barbados, Curacao, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago and the US with a few more pending.

This event will be huge, there's no doubt about it.

The biggest news is naturally the first registrations for the newly added 1/8 GT gas category with 2 registrations, both coming out of Trinidad and Tobago, but from what I hear there are a few more countries ready to register for this exciting new category.

Here's the count of registrations per category, with the biggest being the Touring Car Electric 13.5t + blinky mode field with 26 participants.

Touring Car Gas with 9 participants,

1/8 LMP Gas with 11 participant ,

1/8 GT Gas with 2 participants and

1/10 GTP Electric with 8 participants.

We got more exciting news in connection with the biggest R/C event in the Caribbean.

This one's a biggie...the CRCCDA organization voted to include the fastest growing category in R/C at the moment...

That's right, the 15th Annual Napa 300 Open Invitational 2015 will now feature the 1/8 GT gas class!

It's official, everything is set and ready. The CRCCDA will...

..now host the biggest RC action in the Caribbean, which will now feature 5 categories, including;

1/10 GTP electric

1/10 TC electric

1/10 TC gas

1/8 LMP gas

...and for the first time, 1/8 GT gas

CRCCDA's website was updated with the ruling for the new added category and also the race registration was modified to allow racers to register for the new category!

Its easy driving characteristic, toughness and low budget made the 1/8 GT class to become very popular in a short period, these are nothing more than 1/8 gas buggies modified to run on-road...

Everything looks right on these cars, their wheel size to body proportions are insane, the amount of body roll looks real, even their relatively low speeds is a plus, for it ensures quality, close racing...we're getting excited just writing about it!!

After a relatively quiete 2013 racing season in Curacao, we're now gathering information for what's going to be a big event presented by FAC.

It's the Annual DragFest drag racing event held at...
Curacao International Raceway, in Rondeklip - Curacao.

We haven't received too much information yet from FAC, but here's what we did get...

Everything is all set and confirmed for the event that for 6 consecutive years is setting records in participants and attendance at Palo Marga Int'l Raceway Park!!

This year's date is set on Saturday, 5 April 2014, where....

It's set to take place on May 30-31 & June 01 2014 at the legendary Waaigat parkinglot race track, in Punda - Curacao.

1/10 TC-gas
1/8 LMP-gas

21st Annual Fall Nationals - Pro Street Battle Royale news!

We've just received exclusive photos, straight from Ronnie Mitchell Racing - Michigan, USA where Jason Angela and Jenny "Still Balling" Martis got to see this beautiful machine for the first time. They're there to see their new acquisition, the Rizzo Hayabusa.

But say hi to FRENCHY, here's the awesome looking bike!

This new Hayabusa pro street will compete

at the 21st Annual Fall Nationals at the Maryland international Raceway in the Pro Street Battle Royale category. Jason will be the RIDER of this pro street monster in a field of very competitive bikes including fellow local RIDERS, Terrence Angela, Bergenie Naar and Rendolf Torbed. Jeremy Teasley will be riding on the "old" RMR machine for this event.

Guess who's a happy camper...look at their faces!

World Cup Finals: Import vs Domestic - here we come!!

After a long absence from the drag racing world, we're back and boy we've got some sweet news! You've guessed it: WE ARE HEADING TO THE GREATEST IMPORT SHOW ON THE PLANET!!

The 18th annual Haltech WORLD CUP FINALS, includes the quickest

imports on the east coast paired-up against the beefiest and baddest outlaws, domestics on radials, X275s and a whole lot more.

Here's where records are shattered and personal bests are set - year after year! And after following different teams online, it's safe to say that this year won't be an exception! Have you seen the latest news from the guys over at Team New Generation....need I say more!?

Aruba ONE COOL SUMMER: Iron Man Classic 2013

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand it's racing time all over again!!

Hi fans and friends, after a long vacation, we're back and ready to experience the biggest drag racing event for a while now, the Aruba One Cool Summer - Iron Man Classic presented by Don Flip Racing Organization and Budweiser.

This action packed event will be full of exciting categories, plenty of high performance racing machines and pretty faces. The action will kick-off Friday, 9 August and continue Saturday, 10 August 2013 at the Int'l Raceway Park Palo Marga - Aruba. We're

...excited already!!!

Ok, let's start off with the categories. We counted a total of 10, that's right TEN categories for this event including.
- Box
- No Box
- Jr. Dragster
- Fast Imports

- Import Class
- Monster Outlaw FWD

- Monster Criollo Outlaw Bike
- Pro Bike

- Some exhibition runs by the No Bull Motorsports Top Dragsters

...and don't forget about the main attraction: TOP SPORTSMAN.

There's no excuse to miss this, an action packed weekend filled with bracket and heads up races with cars and bikes from Aruba, USA, Puerto Rico, Curacao, Bonaire and Venezuela.

EVERYTHING IS ALL SET!!!

One category that'll sure make an impact is the newly created "Monster Outlaw FWD". There's plenty of reaction on the web about this exciting category - we'll just have to wait and see who's got the baddest FWD at the event, here's some pictures found on facebook:

Are you a bike lover, here's what in store for you; Monster Criollo Outlaw Bikes, running mid 7's all night long!! They too run heads-up, pro lights....goosebumps anyone?

Chip Ellis has yet to make a 6 second pass, on the Da Silva bike, will we see this historic feat?!

Both ex- pro stock vehicles, will now race against each other with break-out rules enforced in a field of about 10 vehicles from Aruba and Puerto Rico, can we say that ARUBA DOES IT BETTER....we'll see!

Now to get into the PRETTY FACES at the RACES, we'll have North Carolina Top Sportsman racer Lizzy Musi with her Dad Pat Musi, a couple of drivers from Puerto Rico and also local bombshells at the event:

In this weekend we'll also see the finals of the IHRA Summit Series of the BOX and NO-BOX categories.
