Papyrus shot from Dublin, neat! Kelsi sends this all the way across the ocean. We've gotta start updating the map again, sort of forgot about Flickr. I dunno if it's any good or not, maybe that's the only Papyrus in dublin and it's cool? But I doubt that.

Papyrus CAPTCHA

A Papyrus CAPTCHA - now I've seen everything, thanks to Jesse. Funny thing is I tend to have CAPTCHA blindness, that is, half the time I can't read the damn things. Ever get that? Don't try the audio version, trust me. Anything, this is actually quite legible. Spammers must not program their spambots to read Papyrus.

Credit Union really...

Erica have you eaten this pizza and if so is it good? Some of the best pizza joints and take out places I've ordered from have the worst designs, if any design at all. The local burrito place has a website adorned with Comic Sans and MS Paint work and I still love it (though the inside is rather nice yet unfancy, and full disclosure: I ate there before going to their website). Nevertheless, Papyrus Pizza wouldn't be my absolute first choice. Or would it? Oh, and "Oven" is redundant, no?

The person with the awesomest name in the world, Friendship Spacestation,, pointed us in the direction of the Gratitude Cafe. After reading their menu (a PDF of course) I'm getting hungry but even more confused not even by the bold Papyrus but the legend of a half-dozen symbols next to each item. Not too sure about raw lasagne. Raw salads, though? Yes. I've had those.

Something to do with Christmas Papyrus

A belated Christmas-related Papyrus (belated because I wasn't checking my email, Thanks Mike for the pic). I actually saw less than I expected this year. Could it be on a decline? I dunno...only 2012 will tell, so keep yours peeled. And keep spreading the word and join us on Facebook, follow on Twitter, and don't forget to bug your friends about it, they'll start spotting it too, it's funny. Happy new year, folks!

Papyrus Wackiness

Well yours, not mine. I'm from Canada where they got confused about villages and countries and that's how we were named, but that matters not. Yo dawg, I heard you like Papyrus... Wait, that doesn't really fit. I tried. Still, this is a a good one, every time I see the papyrus stores I lol a little bit to myself and wonder if anyone in that company knows about the Papyrus font and lols a bit to themselves too. Not likely, but one can imagine. We've seen Papyrus tattoo parlours that were pretty pissed that we posted about them, Papyrus tattoos and even more Papyrus tattoos even (though that's not this dude's biggest problem). And not this selection of brochures from Jennifer. Stay safe, people.

We need a font renaissance

Free tickets to the Renaissance Festival! What I don't get is why the Papyrus? The font on the ticket is much more appropriate. Although the publisher likely didn't have that font on file, but still. Papyrus and "$42 Value" don't sit well with me.
We talk about this often in the design industry, looking at other work, etc. and deciding whether it's good or not. We can be really critical of course, so I usually refer to something as over the line or not (that is, acceptable or not). This is one of those cases. Kris sent this is as 'horrid' but I don't really think it's that bad overall, save for the Papyrus, which really makes me wonder even more than usual how it happened. There's some Rosewood Fill too, which I kind of like. At the beginning of the year I predicted we'd be seeing more of it throughout the year and I've been spotting it more often, but hasn't really been overdone.

Worst storefront ever

Jack sent this pic saying "hey it's Papyrus and Comic Sans" and then I'm sayin "mmm that's not Comic Sans...". It's a serif, but almost, Comic Serif ("Comic"?). I don't know, anyone? But it's not pretty. But that sure is Papyrus. Add that to the icicle lights, neon open sign, and yellow siding and you've got a wine shop - stuffy or not - that I'll probably walk by on the opposite sidewalk.

Papyrus + Photobomb = ?
