Hope not many of us have experienced. And many more instances.

Now what's important is to know more about such "Professionals " who do a Blood Test or a massage or a therapy and aid the doctor for better treatment of the patient & hence make health care easy and effective. These Professionals are called as "Paramedics." Paramedics are the key players in the Health & Medical Sector. Entry to course
For Diploma courses
Eligibility: Passed SSC/ SSLC. (with atleast 45% marks).
For Undergraduate Courses : (BSc courses)
Eligibility: Passed 10+2 / HSC / PUC (with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics with at least 45% - 50% marks) .
Note: The minimum % and cutoff % varies from college to college & state to state.
Duration: 2 or 3 year courses. (Diploma & BSc). Exams are held annually. (Few states have semester system)
Fee structure: Rs 10,000 to 15,000 (depends upon the college and sometimes may be much higher also).
Admission Process: Admission Notification is issued in Leading Newspapers between 3rd week of July and 1st week of August (in majority of states). Applications are issued and an entrance test is conducted. Based on the performance in the entrance test, seats are allotted. Some colleges may or may not conduct entrance test. The classes begin either in September or October.
Reservation for OBC: Every college offers a few seats for the minorities. (the number is very less. May be only 2 or 3 seats per course per college)

The aptitude (qualities) required to become a Paramedic.
Responsibility: Paramedics are the backbone of medical services. You need to work hard with great responsibility. More importance to quality & precision during work. Ability to judge & make clear observations is essential.
Scientific bent of mind: Lots of technical stuff, sophisticated machines (very costly), changing trends in technology & implementation demand a paramedic to be more tech savvy (like machine and equipment) as well as have a liking to science & its deep understanding. You should be able to make correct and precise observations each and every time.
Communication Skills: Being a paramedic is all about being good with patients & put them at comfort. You need to be good with your patients & try to make them happy and feel good about the treatment with your words & work.
Team Work: With Doctors and Nurses around, you always need to be a team player. Make friendship with all people around you.

Herpes Simplex

Herpes is an infection that is caused by a herpes simplex virus (HSV). Oral herpes causes cold sores around the mouth or face. Genital herpes affects the genitals, buttocks or anal area. Genital herpes is a sexually transmitted disease (STD). You can get it from having sex, even oral sex. The virus can spread even when sores are not present. Mothers can also infect their babies during childbirth.

Some people have no symptoms. Others get sores near the area where the virus has entered the body. They turn into blisters, become itchy and painful, and then heal. The virus can be dangerous in newborn babies or in people with weak immune systems.

Most people have outbreaks several times a year. Over time, you get them less often. Medicines to help your body fight the virus can help lessen symptoms and decrease outbreaks. Correct usage of latex condoms can reduce, but not eliminate, the risk of catching or spreading herpes.

Genital Warts

Genital warts are a sexually transmitted disease (STD) caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV). The warts are soft, moist, pink or flesh-colored bumps. You can have one or many of these bumps. In women, the warts usually occur in or around the vagina, on the cervix or around the anus. In men, genital warts are less common but might occur on the tip of the penis.

You can get genital warts during oral, vaginal or anal sex with an infected partner. Correct usage of latex condoms greatly reduces, but does not completely eliminate, the risk of catching or spreading HPV.

The warts might disappear on their own. If not, your health care provider can treat or remove them. The virus stays in your body even after treatment, so warts can come back.

It may mean you have nerve damage from diabetes. If you don't see your doctor, these problems will go untreated.

Your doctor can offer several new treatments for ED. For many men, the answer is as simple as taking a pill. Getting more exercise, losing weight or stopping smoking may also help.

Circumcision

Circumcision is the removal of the foreskin, which is the skin that covers the tip of the penis. In the United States, it is often done before a new baby leaves the hospital. The risks include pain and a low risk of bleeding or infection. These risks are higher for older babies, boys and men.

Chlamydia Infections

Chlamydia is a common sexually transmitted disease caused by bacteria. You get it by having sex or sexual contact with someone who is infected. Both men and women can get it. Chlamydia usually doesn't cause symptoms. If it does, you might notice a burning feeling when you urinate or abnormal discharge from your vagina or penis.

In both men and women, chlamydia can infect the urinary tract. In women, infection of the reproductive system can lead to pelvic inflammatory disease, which can cause infertility or serious problems with pregnancy. Babies born to infected mothers can get eye infections and pneumonia from chlamydia. In men, chlamydia can infect the epididymis, the tube that carries sperm. This can cause pain, fever and rarely, infertility.

You can cure chlamydia with antibiotics. If you are sexually active, you can decrease your risk of getting it by using condoms. Experts recommend that women 25 and younger get a chlamydia test every year.
