Pacquiao-Mayweather: The Fight is on...NOT!!

Yesterday morning when I opened my Yahoo Messenger, I came upon this News Article . A frustrating day for all fans waiting for this fight (including me). I mean, what the hell is wrong with Mayweather? Is he that scared to face Pacquiao? Yes, I am rooting for Pacquiao since I am a Filipino but sometimes you need to take a hard look at things and this time, I just can't understand Mayweather. I believe that Pacquiao's offer to 3 blood tests, including a post-fight test is very much reasonable. Mayweather's been pushing for random blood testing and when you say random, it is really random..We all know what happened to Manny during his first fight with Erik Morales, way back 2005(?).. He was subjected to a blood test days before the fight and yes folks, blood tests can really affect one's performance. I'm just airing out my disappointments. I guess almost every boxing fan out there is waiting for this bout to happen. But I believe, the chances are getting slimmer. But who knows, maybe a miracle will happen (hopefully)

When the dust settles, it all boils to down to pride and money. Mayweather thinks highly of himself and looks down on Pacquiao. But I do hope that he walks his talk and prove it on the ring and not on the podium. Sometimes, it leaves you wondering if he is really a fighter or just a businessman . Still, Im hoping that its not too late for this fight, I really don't care who wins or lose, just watching these 2 fighters clash is such a sight to behold. If this materializes, I'm gonna apply for a PPV.

Ok, one more day and we are on the end of the 1st decade of the new millenium. Its been quite crazy with all the Holiday parties and whatnots but on the end of a day, my mind screams the same thing.. "D90"..Yeah..I really want to have this camera. I think I have outgrew my trusty Nikon D60. But it all boils down to one thing :Cash.. I need cash..That is why, I'm been researching on ways of earning money online just so that I can build my D90 fund. I love photography and travel and I believe its time that I upgrade my camera. I would love to get your suggestions and tips on how to generate income online. I am a newbie when it comes to SEO and stuff but I am very much willing to learn the tricks of the trade of making money online. That is why the title of this post is Desperation. Time really flies and its December once again. I must say that I have neglected this blog. Well it was because I spent most of the 2nd half of the year reviewing for my licensure exams. Thank God, I passed.

Anyways,just like last year, I will present my Christmas Wishlist for 2009..Hopefully Santa will see this blog of mine.

Oh well...somehow that's just what I wanted this Holiday Season (Take note of the word "just" ). But we must always remember that it is not in the quality or quantity of the gifts that we receive but it is in what we give. Lastly, let us not forget the "REASON FOR THIS SEASON", which is the birth of our Savior.

On our fourth day at Boracay, we went to a resort called Fairways and Bluewaters. The gloomy weather did not prevent us from appreciating the beauty of the resort. The resort features a golf course, a butterfly garden, a posh restaurant and pool as well as a white sand beach complete with beautiful rock formations. Too bad the weather was cloudy but nevertheless here are some pics taken from Boracay Fairways and Bluewaters.

Its been a while since my last post. I've been busy accomplishing my academic requirements and now that I have earned my Bachelor's Degree in ECE, its time to relax and unwind a bit before taking the Licensure Exams. I got the chance to go on a 6 day trip to Boracay. Featured here are the famous Paraws(sailboat) of Boracay. The sky was very cooperative and I just cant help but capture such a dramatic scene.

Bacoloadiat 2009

This is only the 4th Bacolaodiat Festival and it has already come a long way. Hopefully this will become a staple event just like the Masskara Festival. The festival center was situated in the Capitol Shopping District which is sort of the Chinatown of Bacolod City. The streets were lighted by various lanterns and alongside the streets are the 12 animals of the zodiac. The overall ambiance resembles that of a street in China. Congratulations to the organizers and Happy Year of the Ox.

Malagos Garden Resort

During my escape to Davao last year, we were able to visit Malagos Garden Resort. It is a resort that provides tourists an intimate encounter with some of Davao's diverse flora and fauna. During our visit, we were able to witness the famous Malagos Bird Show. For about an hour or so, we watched in awe as the birds performed amusing and amazing feats. It was quite a long time ago since I witnessed such show and If given the chance, I'll watch the show again but this time, I will pay more attention to the show itself rather than spending most of the time taking pictures..

If you have noticed, all my previous shots of BREDCO Port were all taken during sundown. So for a change, I decided to go there during daytime. The port is bustling with activity during the day and there are even kids swimming on the beach and enjoying the cool sea breeze.

December 28 is infamously known as Innocence Day. I really don't know how this came to be and as of the moment I don't have the luxury of time to do some historical research. Anyways, this December I was fortunate enough to take part in two gift-giving activities. Seeing these innocent faces and knowing that somehow you've been a part of their lives even in just a simple way gave me a sense of happiness. These are just some of the kids that we were able to share our blessings this holiday season.

Lanterns on the Street

It is a common sight during December to see bright and colorful lanterns sold along the sidewalks. The lanterns along Gatuslao Street are one of them. But what makes these lanterns special is the fact that they were made by our brothers at the Provincial Jail. They come in various shapes and sizes. From the simple 5 pointed lanterns to the more intricate ones. They definitely add up to the spirit of Christmas. Golden Light

I had to drop by BREDCO port to take pictures for our yearbook..Too bad I missed the lighting that is required for the pics. The sun was already setting and everything was glowing under the golden light. It was a sight to behold and its one of those moments that makes me thankful that I have a camera with me. Christmas Lights : 888 Mall

As you pass by along Gatuslao Street, you can't help but notice the colorful lights of the 888 Mall. They have decorated the entire building with multi-colored lights and in the mall's facade stood a giant christmas tree made entirely of christmas lights. Upon closer look, you will see the familiar nativity scene under the tree. If ever you're here in bacolod, I suggest you drop by 888 and feel the spirit of Christmas.

Masskara Festival 2008: Brgy. Mandalagan

This year's Champion for the Open Category was Barangay Mandalagan. It was really a tough call for the judges. But from what I've seen, they were really good and it has to be them or Barangay Villamonte. I guess this year's competition was quite a success and I'm looking forward next year since it will be the 30th Masskara Festival. It's almost a guarantee that we will be having a grand festival next year...
