The Envy 1 set a high standard within the DHV 2 category of gliders and the Envy 2 follows the story. The performance profits from the experience gained in production of the Magus series, and the overall respect gained by the Envy 1.

Performance, agility, stability and high climbing performance were again our goals when designing this high performance glider. The Envy 2 was made for cross country oriented pilots looking for relaxed flying and for pilots progressing from Intermediate gliders to expand their skills. The pilot will easily progress with this glider. Carefully calculated airfoils of different thicknesses give the glider an excellent glide performance and stability both at trim and in accelerated flight. It features excellent stability at full speed. This feature makes the Envy 2 stand out as supreme amongst its competitors.

www.macpara.com

New GIN Boost: discover the paragliding flight

A new paraglider is ready, certified and available in the GIN range. The Ozone Mojo 3 has passed all flight tests with EN B. The Mojo 3 is an ideal first wing, and a wing for pilots who want absolute maximum passive safety in a wing that will still have the agility and performance to fly XC, so why EN B, and not LTF 1 as it has been in the past?

The EN B certification on the Mojo 3 is the result of the ‘Sink Rate After 2 Consecutive Turns’ EN Test. In this test, if the sink rate of the wing exceeds 12m/s after 2 turns, then it will result in an EN B rating, not A. most wings with the desireable handling and agility that is needed for thermalling well, will exceed this limit and recieve an EN B. However, other categories of the Mojo 3 are EN A, a result of its extremely high passive safety and comfort in flight.

Our mission for the Mojo 3 was to increase the performance as much as possible without sacrificing any of the comfort and safety that the Mojo series has become known for.

The Ozone Test and Design Team achieved major performance gains through drag reduction and a more efficient trailing edge, due to a 10% reduction in total line length and more advanced internal construction at the trailing edge. These improvements have now put the Mojo 3 at the top of its category not only in terms of safety and handling, but in glide and speed performance as well. For more info, check out the Mojo 3 page in ‘Products’, including the Designer’s Notes, written by Dav Dagault.
Cheers from all the Team, and stay tuned for more exciting news including more glider releases.

www.flyozone.com

APCO Thrust HP 2009

The Thrust HP 2009 project mission was to improve the already popular Thrust HP into an even greater wing, renamed THRUST HP 2009 (or for short THRUST HP '09).The HP has claimed many fans worldwide and was received exceptionally well by pilots and media. It is indeed our best paramotor wing - and now even better!!

Improvements are based on accumulated pilot feedback.
The HP '09 shares the philosophy of THRUST HP, but has incorporated new cutting edge materials and the latest technological innovations to make it a better performing, longer lasting, easier handling, lighter and safer wing.

Thrust HP '09 combines the advantages of the Thrust at low speeds with the latest Reflex profile technology in high speeds to yield a specialized paramotor wing that would offer true high performance yet retain the friendliness and safety of the Thrust.

The Thrust HP '09 employs a unique patent-pending Automatic Stall Recovery System (SRS) that allows the pilot fly and launch at amazingly low speed despite the high wing loading. It prevents the wing and pilot from stalling at critical angle of attacks and aids in automatic recovery in case of a stall.

New designs features were incorporated into the wing such as New generation
FLEXON ® batten system, new lightweight cloth and stabilo steering examplify APCO's uncompromising attention to detail. the Gradient test team put the protos through their paces in a wide range of flying conditions: easy soaring, soaring in strong winds, weak to moderate thermals as well as extremely strong thermals. Gradient's satisfaction with the final design was checked in De Aar South Africa...Gradient's favourite testing ground when winter grips central Europe.

Aspen3 offers maximum comfort to sport and recreational pilots alike and after very positive feedback on the Aspen2 Gradient's target was to keep the safety potential of the Aspen2 the same but to increase the overall performance of the Aspen3 and introduce new feature-details of design and construction. Gradient Aspen3 is a very stable glider placing well inside the EN C category. Predictable behaviour and stable accelerated flight makes Aspen3 a very interesting solution for a really wide range of XC pilots. Gradient has given a high priority to details in the new Aspen3, things like thin risers, light Ronstan pulleys, smaller Peguet carabiners, brake swivels, adhesive rib reinforcements etc... Gradient continues to concentrate on optimizing material-combinations, which together with advanced design makes Aspen3 a light glider increasing its usage potential in several ways. Compared to the Aspen2 the weight of the glider is 0.2kg less.

<a href="http://www.gradient.cx/" Especially at high speed the TRITON outclasses its predecessor, the TYCOON in terms of glide ratio.

In turbulent conditions the difference between those wings gets even bigger, and despite the considerably increased maximum speed, the Nova TRITON glides very stable and well damped through bumpy air. But actually it is the handling characteristic that makes the most obvious difference compared with every other high performance glider we have built so far. That's why it's surprisingly easy to use the performance potential of this wing.

The handling behaviour could be described as very dynamic and as playful: Even in very rough conditions it is easy to move the wing exactly how the pilot wants it to fly. This leads to super efficient climbing in strong thermals, as it is easy to center the thermals core.

Due to the chosen airfoil and the high wing loading, the TRITON is very collapse resistant - especially at high speed. If the wing collapses, the behaviour is well controllable for an experienced pilot. That is why we didn't have any problems to pass the certification without any (performance reducing) trim changes. The TRITON 24 even passed with EN C.

The combination of performance, handling, and safety offers new possibilities for ambitious XC pilots. Further more, the TRITON offers a playful flying experience, which we could not nearly achieve in this glider segment up to now.

Please find more information on our product page.

Of course the only impression that really counts is a test flight at your NOVA dealer. :-)

http://www.nova-wings.com/

----------
Development and Concept - NOVA MENTOR LTF 1-2
New wing and new homepage (NOVA Factor)
NOVA Factor Trailer
NOVA Mentor XXS 100
NOVA FACTOR (LTF 2) - Review
Nova RADIX - Video
Characteristics - NOVA MENTOR LTF 1-2
Technical Changes - NOVA MENTOR LTF 1-2.

U-Turn BODYGUARD II - for Beginners

The BODYGUARD stands for a very high level of safety and relaxed paragliding. This naturally applies to the BODYGUARD II as well. By implementing lots of technical innovations and enhancements, designer Ernst Strobl managed to keep the very remarkable safety level, but simoultaneously improved the performance and agility of the canopy.

The most important development on this glider is the alteration in the offset-ratio of the profiles in the outer area. A wealth of achievement and especially more flight agility which reacts more directly to navigating impulses, is the result of the trim which is adjusted to this method of construction. In this combination the approved AFS-system still guarantees highest safety. Like the previous model the AFS system is basically effective to the outer cells.

The application of a lighter material of NCV causes a weight reduction of about ten percent. The upper sail uses a cloth which weighs 40g/qm (before 45g/qm) and the cloth of the lower sail weighs 36g/qm (before 40g/qm). That way the pilots of a BODYGUARD II can benefit of the proceedings in the material developing. That applies to the lines, too. The BODYGUARD II is now completely equipped with Liros lines. This reduces the extension although the cross cuts could be reduced partly so the achievement can benefit from that again. The extension of the B-riser by ten centimetres leads to the improved ergonomics. The B-stall which enables sinking rates of 5 meters/sec is now easier to induce and especially more effortless to handle.

According to the development the BODYGUARD II expands its rank as a favoured glider for education and beginners. It is available in attractive colour combinations and with the new U-Turn claw. Strobl worked together with the most experienced flight instructors from our competence centres. Their know-how, having taught thousands of flight students, was introduced into the design-process right from the beginning, another reason for the outstanding security level of this glider. The notion “Design for Learning” was developed consequently.

What are the mistakes most commonly made by beginners?
What are the major difficulties in learning to fly actively and safely?
Which features must a modern canopy have to provide beginners maximum safety, but also fun and convenience?

The BODYGUARDs II answers to these questions are convincing:
The AFS-system. The B-flight help. The extra strap as assistance for Big-Ears. The swept-back design of the wing tips. The Easy-Fix system of the risers. The Dirt-Outs with Velcro closure. These innovations make the BODYGUARD II a high-tech-glider, flying in a class of its own.

www.u-turn.de

----------
New lightweight glider U-TURN Alpine Peak (LTF1)
JustACRO Team Secrets - Gabor Kezi

Team Silver Film "Streamlined 08" - Trailer

Wolfgang Pilch of Team Silver in Austria has created one of the most beautifully shot paragliding short films we have ever seen. With highly technical camera angles, full HD widescreen, and some impressive editing, ‘Streamlined 08′ is destined to become a favorite of any paraglider pilot who likes to think outside the box when it comes to launching techniques and flying maneuvers!

Team Silver Film "Streamlined 08" - Part 1/2
Team Silver Film "Streamlined 08" - Part 2/2

Just when you think that you’ve seen it all, along comes a film like this to prove that the limits can be pushed even further than before. Our favorite part of this film is watching Wolfgang launch his Octane FLX out the rear door of a twin engine skydiving plane (a Spanish made CASA) at 90kmh. Watching the Octane FLX shock inflate and then fly through the turbulence behind the massive plane leaves little doubt that the wing is strong and stable! And also that Wolfgang really knows how to D-Bag! Congratulations to Wolfgang for his excellent launches and a very cool film.

We have waited to release the full version of this movie to coincide with the Hobnox Film Challenge.
Please go to this link and after watching the film, Vote For It!!! Doing so will help Wolfgang win some money to supplement the budget for another project, which we’re sure will be even better.

Enjoy, and don’t forget to vote.
Please follow this link for instructions:
http://www.team-silver.at/Sonstiges/Streamlined/streamlined08_help_1.html Attached one photo of the last prototype.

We are extremely happy with the performance. The glider is very competitive, especially at high speed.

The Boomerang 6 climbs very well.
Of course the wing retains our legendary Boomerang characteristics: "easy" and comfortable to fly for a comp wing combined with amazing handling.
We have spent a lot of time making the wing stable to fly in all speed configurations.

You dont have to take my word for it, try one and see. We wish you good competition results!

I wish you and your families a good end of year and all the best for the 2009 season that starts soon.

All the best.
Gin www.gingliders.com
----------
GIN Competition harness - GenieRace
New Rebel Race! Due to its high passive safety even a talented beginner can safely give this new Basic-Intermediate a try.

Under the leadership of Thomas Ripplinger our development team has lavished much of their attention on the EPSILON 6’s handling. It turns with light brake loads, the desired radius of turn is easy to control, and the pilot gets precise canopy feedback through the brake lines. The EPSILON owes this exceptionally smooth, unmistakeable ADVANCE handling to a balance of profile and curvature and, not least, to the Ring Raff System. In addition, a perfect relationship between aspect ratio and line length gives the wing an agreeable sense of compactness, and the new EPSILON also has a big ears system with Quick Snap as well as a two stage speed system with Speed-Performance-Indicator (SPI).

The certification tests for 26 and 28 sizes are already completed. The glider comes with EN certification and is graded LTF 1-2. The EPSILON 6 will be available in 5 colours and 4 sizes, and from the end of January you will be able to reserve test wings for trial flights at our test centres and dealers.

The EPSILON 6 is best suited to the typical intermediate pilot who regularly flies in thermal conditions. He will already have a competent, active flying style, can recognise an approaching collapse, and knows how to prevent it without overreacting. From this starting point thermalling with the EPSILON 6 will mean perfect pleasure. Thanks to its large degree of safety the EPSILON 6 can also be flown by the talented student.

Outstanding characteristics

A compact and stable unit
For the EPSILON 6 the wing, lines and pilot form an especially compact entity. This primarily results from an ideal relationship between aspect ratio and line length. On the one hand this produces a marked degree of inherent stability, and on the other creates perfect tracking and pitch stability. As the pilot this gives you a good feeling under the glider all the time.

Sophisticated and smooth handling
Less load from the brakes and low steering demands enable the EPSILON 6 to circle at any desired radius, and let the pilot feel precise canopy feedback from the brakes. The EPSILON has an exceptionally smooth, distinctive ADVANCE handling because of the Ring Raff System, combined with a perfect combination of profile and curvature.

Coordinated and absolutely predictable
The greatest strength of the EPSILON 6 is that it has no weakness. With this wing you have a coordinated and integrated glider, tuned exactly to your needs as a thermalling pilot. Its reassuring predictability and obvious passive safety will impress you from takeoff to landing.

Other important details
Big ears system with Quick Snap
Two stage speed system with SPI
ADVANCE Standards such as the Smart Sail System

www.advance.ch

----------
The first SIGMA 7 Victory (XC Open in Andradas, Brazil)
Paramotor world altitude record with OMEGA 7!
Chrigel Maurer Infinity World Record 2008-The Movie

GIN Competition harness - GenieRace

Designed by Gin Seok Song and our R&D department, the Genie Race is a concentration of 20 years of paragliding design and international competition to produce a precise, comfortable and aerodynamic harness able to offer increases in performance.

Based on a T-bar attachment system (Safety Getup system), quite low but not radical suspension points and a seated flying position, the Genie Race piloting is very precise but stable.
