RAZONES DE FONDO 8/12/2007 El revés electoral del 2 de diciembre sufrido por el movimiento bolivariano en Venezuela tiene características de tragedia continental. Las indudables simpatías y decidido apoyo por la mayoría de los pueblos suramericanos al proyecto liderado por Chávez se vera fuertemente sometido a los embates producto del desconcierto y de la ausencia de una estrategia que no tuvo a la derrota como una posibilidad. Error casi imperdonable en la izquierda, que si de algo tiene bastante experiencia, es en el doloroso hecho de convivir con las derrotas. Lo único alentador de este cuadro es el conocimiento de que la derecha venezolana no ha experimentado ningún crecimiento cuantitativo. Y ya. Ahora nos corresponde hurgar en las razones que llevaron a mas de 3 millones de venezolanos, que antes se sintieron motivados, probados hace apenas un año con 7 millones y medio a favor de Chávez, a quedarse en sus ranchos oyendo música y viendo televisión, en vez de salir a dar sus votos. Este es el desafió que tenemos ahora por delante. Y estas son algunas de las razones de fondo: Venezuela, lleva ya ocho años de gobierno progresista, sin embargo, su economía continua controlada por la oligarquía criolla, una exigua cantidad de familias cuyos tentáculos se extienden e invaden todas las actividades productivas del país. Esto incluye, of course, productos básicos y de alimentación. Seria ocioso aquí, volver sobre las penurias que ha padecido el pueblo, clase media, pobres y muy pobres, para obtener muchos de estos productos durante todo el periodo de campaña electoral. Ante este evidente saboteo, el gobierno no demostró eficiencia para enfrentarlo. Incluso, por algunos de sus voceros, hasta accedió a justificarlo, alegando razones globales de consumo. El auge de la economía venezolana es innegable pero si objetable. Esta no representa, todavía, un incremento en la calidad de vida de sus habitantes, pero si la grosera ostentación de una nueva clase política, emborrachada del mas primitivo consumismo. El pueblo carece de las herramientas, excepto el voto, no para detener esta locura, solo advertir sobre la existencia de la misma. Los beneficiarios del presente auge económico se limitan a la clase media y a la elite gobernante. Otra razón que consideramos de fondo, es el relacionado con el discurso oficial. Es un discurso absolutamente errático y contradictorio. Se nos habla del socialismo pero no hay ningún movimiento real en esa dirección. Ni siquiera teórico. Uno de los pasos más desafortunado de Chávez es el relacionado con la creación del PSUV. Ha concebido en la teoría y en la práctica, no un partido político, sino una especie de asociación burocrática. Los dirigentes de este partido son los ministros, los vices, los gobernadores, etc. Pero sobre todo este maremagno, no vemos por ninguna parte a los trabajadores. No creemos que Chávez este pensando en un socialismo sin la presencia de los trabajadores de verdad y no de esa caterva de burócratas solos interesados en conservar sus privilegios y reproducirse como células cancerosas. Esto lo palpamos en la constitución de la nueva PDVSA, la nacionalizada de CANTV, La Electricidad de Caracas…que papel juegan en estas empresas los trabajadores? Son empresas todas sometidas a una dirección vertical con fuerte tendencias al crecimiento burocrático desmedido e inspiradas en los ideales de la oligarquía. Si. Si, porque cuando los directores de estas empresas publicas deben irse, ya están preparados, material y socialmente, para engrosar los exclusivos círculos, no bolivarianos, sino oligárquicos. Una razón de fondo más: la inseguridad personal. Esta que pareciera no afectar tanto a los pobres, resulta que como todos los males sociales, ellos, los mas pobres, son los mas perturbados con esta pandemia social. La descomposición moral que como serpentina baja desde las alturas del poder, contribuye a incrementar la delincuencia, la violencia despiadada y anula todo sentimiento de solidaridad. Conclusión: ojalá que estos resultados no vayan a significar un viraje a la derecha por parte de Chávez. Existe una fuerte corriente derechista dentro de su gobierno que va a aprovechar este revés para convencerlo de abjurar de los principios que ha venido proclamando desde los inicios de su gobierno. Chávez debe reflexionar y recurrir a la movilización popular, a la incorporación de los trabajadores en la dirección del gobierno. Solo el pueblo salva al pueblo.
