The system will consist of battery swapping electric buses, battery exchange platforms and emergency charging systems. The vision of the Smart-e-bus system is to reduce traffic carbon emissions by providing an eco-friendly urban public transportation system through the development and commercialisation of the automatic battery swapping e-bus system.

Xerox ACS double their Paramics license holding to step up their research and development efforts into new kinds of High Occupancy Tolling (HOT) systems using Paramics as a testbed to accurately evaluate how new tolling technologies will operate in real life. In the future drivers on two of the busiest highways in Los Angeles County could cut their travel times under a new electronic toll system allowing single passenger vehicles to shift into the HOV lanes. Affiliated Computer Services, Inc. (ACS), A Xerox Company will establish the program allowing toll rates to change based on traffic levels to help reduce highway congestion on the new 'ExpressLanes'.

Xerox ACS is the largest provider of transportation technology services worldwide, including parking, tolling, mass transit and photo enforcement services supporting governments in 30 countries.  ACS currently manages 1.4 billion toll transactions annually and 10 million transponder accounts. 

The Hiroshima University department of Transportation and Environmental Systems (TES), which provides education and performs research on Vehicle Technology and Global Environmental Engineering for Symbiosis, selects Quadstone Paramics to support their Transportation- Environment Harmony vision.
