An Angel Ascends to Heaven - Rest In Peace Serah

A member of our boards, Serah Adams, was tragically taken from us on Tuesday evening. Our condolences go out to her family and friends, her best friend Laura (also a member of our boards) and all of the friends she's made through our website. One of the best things about music is how we can all connect with each other and it's so sad to see someone so wonderful be taken away so early. Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who was lucky enough to be blessed with Serah's positivity and friendship.

Paramore Taking The Swellers on Tour!

The band confirmed yesterday that they'll be taking The Swellers and Paper Route on tour with them this fall!

Our video interview yesterday was with Jeremy, Hayley and Taylor and it went really really well. We used only fan questions submitted by you guys. There are some super funny parts, some talk about the new songs they're most excited to play, the Ignorance video, the next tour, and poop... they talked about poop a lot. We should have a quick teaser video up later tonight and the full interview very soon - we just need to edit it together.

First single off Brand New Eyes - "Ignorance" is available today on digital music sites!

And now quoting Ryan Russell's post yesterday on livejournal because it's so true and I really can't say it any better...

"Please please please please please please please please PLEASE buy Ignorance when it comes out on iTunes/Amazon tomorrow. It's only like what $.99 cents or $1.29 I forget. You have no idea how much the industry/labels, etc watch these/all first time sales as a forecast of how things are for a particular band. We gotta get it to #1 on iTunes and if you're watching this Paramore livejournal I know you care enough about the band to at least spend $1. You can gift the song to your friends too! Plus it's an amazing track, the whole album is. Already my favorite record this year and I've only gotten to hear it twice."

Butterfly Album Art Explained

"i found the butterfly in my moms driveway a while ago... dead and completely in tact. after writing the lyrics for "brick..." with the one line that says "the angles were all wrong, now she's ripping wings off of butterflies"... the image we chose for this song was the butterfly i'd found. only we cut its wings off and pinned the butterfly with all its separate pieces in order on the fence in my backyard.

in hindsight, to me, it represents the fact that broken pieces... individual pieces can still make one big picture. doesn't matter if they all have their own purpose as long as they stand together."
