A Word About the Paranormal Activity Movie

I’ve still been keeping track of stats for this site in my absence and awhile back there was quite a huge jump in traffic, this was due to increased interest in a movie known as Paranormal Activity, this site and the movie are not related in any way apart from the similarities in title.

Was quite interesting receiving comments and messages from people thinking this was the movies website, it seemed they took the first result they stumbled upon and assumed or accepted without question that they must be where they were looking for, it’s gotta say something about the nature of the internet.

Well, the movies OK, but I found it quite frustrating, they have paranormal shit happening to them, they have evidence to deny any doubts they may be having, why didn’t they go to a church or something, would have been more proactive than what they did.

Sooo… Where have I been?

So it’s been about several months since my last post here on Paranormal Activities, worst part is I didn’t even give an explanation as to why.

I’d like to say I’ve been out busting ghosts, searching for the elusive Moa and swimming with a fearsome Taniwha, truth is procrastination got the better of me.

Before I knew it 3 weeks turned into 3 months and by that time I just felt guilty, so I ended up avoiding anything that related to blogging, especially my contribution.

I don’t know where I’m going from here with Paranormal Activities, I know there’s got to be a mountain of videos and news from those several months, so I may just try to catch up on it all.

Chase Burns UFO Videos

Skunkeen has posted on the forums a link to a Hgh-Def version of a UFO video taken by a chap named Chase Burns.

I saw a low quality version of this clip awhile ago, but the original sound had been replaced with audio of Chase burns talking about what he had captured.

It’s a very nice UFO video and it’s nice to see it in a kind of HD on youtube, the video shows a circle of lights that appear to be rotating at times as well as another single blue light quite a distance away from the circle of lights.

About Fellow Kiwi Leigh Hart and That Bigfoot Conference

Kiwi, Leigh Hart “That Guy” recently wrote an article about his experience at a recent Bigfoot conference held in Ohio. The article pretty much took the mickey out of Bigfoot Researchers and has left quite a few people unimpressed with his antics.

Cryptomundo received an apology from That Guy, but it really didn’t roll with That Guys original article.

If your in the know as most of us Kiwis are, you’ll find that you really can’t take Leigh Hart all that seriously, I mean the guy covered the Beijing Olympics for a New Zealand T.V show from L.A.

But if your not in the know I’d imagine an encounter with That Guy would be much like an encounter with Borat, an odd experience, leaving those interviewed wondering wtfs going on and nodding politely.

I’m not making any excuses for my fellow Kiwi, I understand the feeling of being made fun of and how it feels being deceived, but surely he’s transparent enough for most people to know he’s pulling their leg, he’s just quite bold with it.

With that in mind the next few videos illustrate what most of us Kiwis get from That Guy most of the time.

Zooming the Moon at Night, Testing out my camera

So I looked out my window the other night and noticed a pair of red blinking lights moving erratically side to side coming towards my house, I thought this is it, a UFO sighting. So I rushed and grabbed my camera, hoofed it outside and noticed the sound, it was just a plane, but it was still moving strangely. I don’t know what was causing the the plane to appear to be moving oddly, but it sure didn’t look like a plane, maybe it was the clouds interfering some how.

Then I noticed the moon, so I thought I’m outside already, may as well film the moon. I took two videos that night, the one below and a second one I still have to upload. In the second one I captured a plane, and it sure does look like a lot of UFO videos shot at night seen on Youtube.

Not the best quality, to bright, but I forgot to adjust the white balance, so next time I film the moon hopefully it’ll be full of moonly detail.

Well I’m finding it hard to gauge how big the object is in this video, looks like a kite to me, if you watch carefully you’ll see a bird fly by. The videos a little choppy or could the object be blinking?

Do you guys remember the short film from Neill Blomkamp ‘Alive in Joburg‘ that I posted awhile back, well it’s been made into a feature length film called ‘District 9‘ and is produced by Peter Jackson.

The film is about an extraterrestrial race living in slum-like conditions here on earth, no body likes em, but it seems like they have no place to go, pretty interesting concept with a real world message.

A beautifully put together short documentary showing the progression of war profiteering and government corruption over the years. Can anyone else see a pattern? Though it is short I feel it brings forward a whole bunch of questions about the worlds history and that to me is what makes it effective, it inspires questions instead of providing answers.

U.S.O, Unidentified Submerged Object Video

The video below shows what is supposed to be an Unidentified Submerged Object, a U.S.O, well I guess it is, it is unidentified. The object moves very quickly and deliberate and looks like a flat bubble.

I don’t know what to make of it, it looks both real and C.G at the same time. Surely an underwater camera has better resolution than what we see in this youtube version, I want to see the original.
