French driver Sebastian Loeb wins Acropolis Rally

Athens: French F1 driver, World champion Sebastien Loeb won the Acropolis Rally for 3rd time in the history of the four day so called "Rally of Gods" in Greece, and recorded his fourth victory in six rallies for this year's world championship.

Loeb drove his Citreon car in 4:42:03 overall time from Athens to Loutraki in Peloponnese Sunday in one of the toughest races internationally with rocky roads, retaining a lead over his Finn team mate Mikko Hirvonen who ranked second, reported Xinhua.

New Delhi: CBSE Class 12th student result 2012 has been declared on the official website and once again report reveals that CBSE Girls had once again beat boys and recorded a pass percentage of 80.19.

As per the reports, Girls have gained superior results than boys with pass percentage of 86.21 and while boys in comparison to this secured 75.80 percent.

Idukki (Kerala): After a top CPI-M Kerala leader claimed his party had physically annihilated foes in Idukki district, police on Monday registered three cases of murder and conspiracy against him.

According to police, cases were registered in Thodupuzha, around 220 km from state capital Thiruvananthapuram, against MM Mani, Idukki district secretary of the Communist Part of India-Marxist.

Akash missile successfully tested twice

Bhubaneswar: On Monday, two successful tests were conducted by India of its medium-range surface-to-air missile Akash from a defence base in Odisha.

The indigenously developed missile, which has a range of about 27 km and an effective ceiling of 15 km, was test-fired from the Integrated Test Range of Chandipur in the costal district of Balasore, around 230 km from here, as part of the user trials.

"Both the tests were successful," said MVKV Prasad, director of the test range. The Akash missile had been successfully tested from the same range on Thursday and Saturday.
