For full information and student testing locations, click here »]]>Mandatory Parent Event on Alcohol and Drugshttp://www.loyolahs.edu/school-news/2017/10/9/mandatory-parent-event-on-alcohol-and-drugs.htmlKatherine Cullen2017-10-09T16:51:17Z2017-10-09T16:51:17ZOn THURSDAY, OCTOBER 19TH from 7:00 – 9:00 PM, Loyola is hosting a mandatory meeting for parents of every grade level to discuss the perceptions and realities of alcohol and drugs that are pertinent to Loyola High School students and parents.  In concert with FCD (Freedom from Chemical Dependence), Loyola counselors and administration will discuss the results of a Loyola student survey taken last spring as well as strategies to address ongoing concerns about alcohol abuse, increased access to marijuana, vaping culture, prescription drug abuse and more.  As part of a continued effort to support the education of students about smart social choices, Loyola requires the attendance of at least one parent.  Students whose parents do not attend or fail to make alternative arrangements to obtain the information will not be eligible to attend the Christmas dance or Junior/Senior prom.  Please contact Dr. Jordan Pjordan@loyolahs.edu with questions.

The workshop will be conducted in both Spanish and English by experienced presenters on Wednesday, October 18th from 7:00-9:00 PM.  The Spanish presentation will be in Library Lecture Hall and the English presentation will be held in Otero Lecture Hall. All materials will be in Spanish and English. To be fully prepared for the evening, please visit the FAFSA website to complete the worksheet: www.fafsa.gov

This is an excellent opportunity for your sons to take a practice test in a timed environment. Location will be in either Xavier or Otero Hall. Students will be advised where to go on the day of the test. Students are advised to bring a snack and and water for break time.
