The moment my kids became hooked on reading was when they fell under the spell of Harry Potter. They devoured all 7 of those books and became avid readers after that. Now they prefer reading to watching TV.

Their favorite series right now is the Hunger Games Trilogy. The first movie comes out March 23, 2012. See the official movie trailer below.

I'm renaming Project Self-Reflection 366/2012 -- Project Vision 12/2012. It's about doing something THIS YEAR with your goals and vision. It's a work in progress. Inside and out.

Step One: Get Organized and Decluttered
One of the biggest things I greatly needed to tackle was getting a handle on my clutter. Last year I wrote a post that got a bunch of wry comments called, "What's

<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/ParentGrapevine/~4/7Np88BvlxVU" height="1" width="1"/>

One Little Word Project

Instead of compiling a list of resolutions, this year I'm participating in Ali Edward's One Little Word Project. I heard about this project from various bloggers and online groups and decided that this would be a great project to be a part of.

The idea is to pick a word for the year that will be your driving force.....your mantra.. a word that you can reflect upon as you go about

<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/ParentGrapevine/~4/KWRwiT2DVaY" height="1" width="1"/>

My Bucket List: Part I - Travel

I've always had the travel bug, guess that's why I became a flight attendant way back when. In the golden ages. One of the things I'm actively composing is my Bucket List of travel destinations. These are places I want to go primarily with family but also with friends. I hope to travel with at least one family member to share the memory and experience. This will always be a list in progress.

<img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/ParentGrapevine/~4/q1tdxEGdvoU" height="1" width="1"/>

<media:rating>nonadult</media:rating>
