 One of the most exciting things to do is to take a toboggan ride down the floodlit and tree-lined 2 kilometre toboggan run, which starts in Courchevel 1850 and finishes at Courchevel 1550. There are also runs at La Tania, Val Thorens and Les Menuires.

 For kids who like ice skating there are ice rinks at Courchevel and Méribel. Courchevel’s Olympic ice rink also has evening events and skating galas. Kids can also try go-karting on ice. For those who fancy a swim, there is a pool in Méribel, plus by 2015 Courchevel 1550, will have an impressive new aquatic centre!

 There are lots of other great things for kids to do. Why not take them dog sledding or quad biking or to the cinema in Courchevel, Méribel or Les Menuires? How about ten-pin bowling in Courchevel 1850 or tackling the climbing wall in Courchevel 1850 or Méribel. Younger kids (aged 3-8) will love the La Croisette play area, at the Maison de la Montagne in Courchevel 1850.

Par Excellence Services is reporting some events happening this week and beyond in Courchevel.

Today is The Classic Tennis Tour taking place at the ice rink of Courchevel. Levgueni Kafelnikov, Andrei Chesnokov, Mansour Barahmi and Henri Leconte will confront one another during two individual games and a double game, France vs Russia.

Then we have one of the big events of the season coming up, the Courchevel Polo Masters on 26th-29th January, up at the Altiport. It is the highest polo match in the world. Very exciting for the players and spectators. We will be reporting from this event.

This exciting event in Courchevel will
feature some of the world’s best female skiers, all set to shine on the Savoie
snow, with a giant slalom on the Saturday and a special slalom on the Sunday.
The event is expected to draw thousands of spectators to cheer competitors on
as it did in 2010 when Courchevel welcomed about 18,000 spectators to the event.

bars. The weekend will include not only the ski competitions but a magical ice
spectacular on Saturday, concerts, and also a VIP-only race featuring the ski

ceremony being set to a rock ‘n’ roll soundtrack. The weekend promises to be an
exciting, fun and unique experience not only for the skiers but for spectators

Taking babies and toddlers on holiday in the Three Valleys
is great fun for all the family, not only in the ski season but also in the
summer when there are lakes to swim in, toboggan runs to enjoy, and other fun
things to do. But for parents, making sure all the equipment and provisions a
baby or toddler needs on holiday can be a nightmare. Taking a pushchair, for
instance, on the plane is not much fun, particularly when carrying ski
equipment. And there may not be enough room in the car. And how do you get a
cot there? What about all the baby milk or baby food, or nappies?

Not having the baby or toddler equipment and supplies you
need at the chalet or apartment can ruin the holiday. Babies need not just a
cot, and perhaps a baby bath and a chair, but milk, nappies, milk, food, baby
care products and a lot more besides. Toddlers may also need equipment, such as
