Our Doctors have over 30 years of combined experience, practicing cutting edge medicine with a touch of an old country doctors bedside manner. The health of your pet is mission critical to all of us at Park Avenue Animal Hospital, whether you are in a crisis situation or visiting for an annual exam, we are here to enhance your animals health and be a resource of information for you. Dr. John Turgai and Dr. Rick Rubinstein are able to provide medical care for a diverse array of pets including dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, ferrets, and other ‘pocket pets’. From the annual checkup to the critical emergency, our doctors are prepared to handle any situation.

Surgery is never a word any pet owner wants to hear, but if your pet does require surgical intervention for injury or disease, rest assured that our doctors have the experience and confidence to tackle any surgical situation.  Spaying and neutering, growth removal, dental cleaning and extractions, and orthopedic repair are just a sampling of the surgical services available at our office. Our In-House Lab offers a wide variety of diagnostic tests in many combination's that are most appropriate for your pet, which aid the doctors and staff in monitoring changes in all of your pet’s organ systems. The earlier a disease is discovered and diagnosed, the higher your pet’s chances are of living a normal life with need only for minimal medical intervention.

Park Avenue Animal Hospital offers limited boarding to our clients. Having a smaller, climate-controlled boarding area means we can dedicate ourselves to each pet’s individualized care and comfort while maintaining a clean environment. We have enclosures of varying sizes, appropriate for all sizes of dogs, as well as a separate cat-boarding area with expandable condos and a view of the yard. We only use stainless steel bowls, which are sterilized after each use. Blankets are available for all pets to sleep on, and play time is abundant! If your pet is in need of a good scrubbing, we are also happy to see him for a bath. We use a variety of shampoos depending on your pet’s requirements and the doctor’s discretion. Professional Grooming Services are also now available!
