We like hyphens!

What is Parker Innovations (PI)?

Let's start with what PI is, then follow up with what PI aims to become. PI is the pet project of one Christopher Parker. PI was created to serve as a clearinghouse of new product ideas and a software development agency. In addition to these aspects of its business model, PI aims to:

Provide a venture capital fund for products/projects it thinks fills a void in the market

Act as an "umbrella organization" to smaller, independent companies

And we plan to do it all with free software.

What kind of software does PI develop? Who is in your target market?

PI develops software where there is a need. Our target market includes everyone from the individual consumer to the enterprise. All of our software is released under a free software license, such as the GNU GPL.

Some examples:

Data compression (libraries of information on a single floppy disk)

Family networking (ancestry.com meets myspace, friendster, et al.)

Automation (see also Rockwell Automation, Siemens AG, Emerson Electric, et al.)

Christopher C.
