I really love impromptu chikahan with my girlfriends. We share everything and anything under the sun. No holds barred. I can trust them with my deepest and darkest secret. LOL

What's the topic of interest? Puso. Pag-ebeg. LOVE.

Though we already graduated from college and some are pursuing their masters degree already, I still consider us relatively "young" since we still have our dreams we want to pursue and careers we want to be successful in.

It's funny how my (ahjussis) office mates think that I'm a lesbo just because no one is fetching me from work and I told them that I don't have a boyfriend. No, really. I overheard them talking and snooping around my FB account to find my "girlfriend". Sorry to disappoint them but the last time I checked, I prefer men with.... #TMI. Hahaha

The bottom line is... as much as we want to be in a relationship right now, must of us are just being CAREFUL. Not that we're picky, maybe we are, but we're just careful to not fall in love with the wrong guy. We've seen or heard stories about girls falling deeply in love and in the end loosing herself. It's sad and we don't want to be one of those girls. But I don't blame girls for falling in love. It's a courageous thing to do. I admit I'm a coward, I don't take risk when it comes to love. But there are lessons we need to learn and sadly having our heart broken is one of them.

We've been there and done that. One mistake is enough.

Small World

I need to accept that fact that we live in a small world. We have the same group of friends and the chance of bumping into you is high high high. It's not that I'm complaining but I'm not yet used to seeing you more than once a month.

How we ended our relationship is not (our friends) their business but I always say to them that it was for the better. I'm not approaching you or talking to you in front of others in respect with your current relationship.What we did made us happier. You, finding a job and being with an awesome girl and me, having time for myself to plan on my career.

The most important thing now is we're both happy. I'm not a hypocrite to deny that I miss your company from time to time. Not as my former someone but a friend. Having someone I can talk to or just a friend that I can always confide my problems with. But then again... things don't end up the way we want it to be. Let's take one step at a time, shall we? :)

I love love spending my vacation in the friends with my relatives.

Especially with my cousins dearests! We basically grew up together.

We're brothers and sisters from another parents. LOL

My aunts, father's side, are very good cooks. We eat a lot every time we visit them.

They own a fish pond where we can get fresh fish, a farm for fresh watermelons, etc.

Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Bagac, Bataan

What a brilliant idea to recreate Las Filipinas during the Spanish time!

As most people know, I'm a sucker for old stuff.

I believe I was born during that time and reborn in the present. LOL

Las Casas blew me away!

It was that pretty and real. We really felt like we were transported back in time. From the hotels to the casas to the staff's uniform and even the food.

This is what greeted us upon entering the "village".

Our welcome drink. Iced tea? Nah! Sago't gulaman. Pinoy na pinoy!

Bedroom is huge not to mention our bath room (shower and bath tub), we can have our own party inside!

One of my fave casas, Casa Hidalgo, the first building of UP Fine Arts in Hidalgo.

Boracay 2011

My last post was referring to this.

Our trip to Boracay with my relatives.

Thanks to my generous aunt and uncle! <3 Though our flight was delayed for 6 hours (not so zestful experience), we're anxiously waiting to set foot in this beautiful island.

Now I know why people love going back to Boracay.

The white powdery sand, the land and ocean activities, the bars, the food, the people, etc.

When you're going to Boracay, make sure to try their land and ocean activities. We did! And it was super fun. I highly recommend booking your activities with La Isla Boracay. They'll give you discounts + friendly staff.

We tried the surf board thing, banana boat ride, zip lining, jet skiing, helmet diving, buggy and atv ride and go cart! You don't have to worry about the transfers because it's already part of the package.

For our lunch, we headed to d' talipapa and strolling for pasalubongs in d' mall.

We stayed at Boracay Holiday Beach Resort.

TIPS:
+Boracay is not for budget conscious travelers. The food is quite expensive but it's worth the price.
+If you want to really enjoy in Boracay, it's a must for you to experience the different activities the island is offering.
+Spend one day just strolling the island and admiring it's beauty. Stay in a hotel near the shore, so you'll feel that you're in a vacation.
+Wear your bikinis and don't be shy to flaunt!

I know I'm no Angelina Jolie or any hollywood stars but I'm willing to devote months or years just to be a volunteer in Africa and help change lives, not only for these kids but also mine.

"What did I do to deserve this?" It's like questioning God. I questioned my faith.

But in the end, it's God's will and I know something better will come my way eventually.

Past year trials changed me a lot. 180 degree.
A blessing in disguise, I must say.

I used to be the usual spoiled brat.
I get what I want. Boastful. Loud. Spirited.
I don't care about others.
All I know is I have the money and my parents will provide it for me.
I am not what I am now.

Like any teens, I went thru a rebel stage.
Hating everyone in the family.

Years gone by, I grew. I matured.
But still reckless when it comes to money.

I never thought I'll be the person that I am today.
Credit to my parents and friends, who were there during my dark and twisted times.

My salary is not as big compared to others. I'm earning just enough to pay bills and for my allowance. No savings. I'm kinda worried about my future. Unlike before I must strive harder if I want something. Unlike before, whenever I needed the money my ever generous parents will give it to without hesitations.

Before was before.
Present is tough.
Future is tougher.

Where I'm working right now is considered the Central Business District of MM. With all the tall buildings, yuppies in their uniforms and groomed, executives in their luxurious cars, there are still beggars and displaced family in dark alleys. Smelly, dirty and miserable. I cannot imagine how they live their life like that. But whenever I passes that alley, the smiles in their faces, playing and enjoying life despite not having anything, there it stuck to me, I'm still blessed compared to them. I have everything--my FAMILY and FRIENDS, house, water, food, clothes, work, etc. I HAVE EVERYTHING. Why the hell I'm still looking for more?? Contentment is the key. Money will not make me a better person

And oh, I don't entertain haters. Hate itself is evil. Envy is another. I don't understand users--those who act as your friends because they want something from you and when you have no purpose to them they'll trash you as if they're angels sent from down under. Gossip-mongers. Brown-nosers. Haters.

With what's happening lately around the world, let's just be thankful for what we have. I, myself, am tired of wishing I have this and that... I am tired of asking. Someday... Somehow... Everything will fall into places just by keeping the faith.

Life isn't easy. I realized.
Life isn't fair. I concurred.
Life is life. You live.

The moment they see me or hear my name, all the bad things comes to their mind. I don't blame them for acting that way. It's my fault for not correcting their perception of me. I have a strong personality. I'm not the type to surrender or give up. I'm not the type to let my detractors affect my performance.

Post-holiday depression

I feel sad. I miss home. I'm disappointed with what's happening right now. I can't seem to move forward with my life, my career. I really want to study abroad but with my current salary minus all the bills I need to pay, saving up is a long waaaaay. If things at home were a bit OK financially, I won't be frustrated right now. I'm not mad, I just hope things were better handled so I'm not the ~~kawawa~~ right now. My older sibs have enjoyed the luxurious life and since I'm the youngest, I don't get to buy the things that I want and be financially secured. At this moment, I'm not entertaining the thought of getting angry just because... I want to be hopeful about my future. How will I do that? I'm not sure. Not eating lunch and just spending for my fares everyday is not enough. It feels like I'm stuck in a chapter in my life were I'm helpless with the things around. I'm starting to drown. It starting to feel heavy. I'm starting to become hopeless... just by thinking of all the things I need to do to become confident, to achieve something and be someone--it's all falling apart. I'm falling apart.

I don't want to get mad... I don't want to get mad... I DON'T WANT TO GET MAD.

I'm back at work today from my christmas vaca. So how's everyone? Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!

About a week ago, I doubt that we'll have a happy noche buena this year but I was wrong. My mindset was changed when I went to hear a mass and the priest said "Decide if you want to be merry this Christmas". I told this to my sibs and they too decided to have a merry christmas and not worry (just for one day) about our problems.

My older brother and I are the ones in charge of cooking. I created the menu and he helped with the cooking. We cooked chicken alfredo, mashed potato, fried chicken, nachos, panna cotta, ham, etc. The best part is sharing one table with our family and the newest member, little Akiko Savannah. She made our Christmas more special.

The next day, 25th, was our family's annual reunion/christmas party and as always we all had a blast laughing and playing games. My cousins spent the night in our house just like the old days when they used to spend the summer with us. Funny thing though that we (6 big persons) slept in one room, despite having 3 spare rooms, and kwentuhan til we fell asleep. This is how our parents brought us up because that's how they grew up. They wanted us to be closer and treat one another as sibs. I love them like my own brothers and sisters! Oh how I miss being young.

Christmas is about family. Need I to say more?

New Year's Resolution... NOT!

I'M NOT GOING TO WRITE ANY RESOLUTIONS THAT I WANT TO DO OR ACCOMPLISH BY 2011. Coz I always end up not accomplishing ANY from my "list". But this I promise, is true, I'll do better and be great this 2011 and the years after that. That's the only way I know how to live these days despite everything that's been happening around me.

2010 taught me to not give up easily, to have faith, to love and to be merry, to not judge, to not hate, to understand and to be great. 2010 is the worst year in my 21 years of existence, as I turn 22 next year, I still have lots of things to learn and experience. I'm taking it one day at a time step by step. Most importantly, 2010 has taught me to slow down and think every actions and decisions I have to make for it will decide what will happen in the future.

As Christmas is fast approaching, I can only thank all my friends, my family, and those, thru their simple actions, made me feel loved and appreciated. I hope I echoed that appreciation. I do wish you a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year. This is my gift to you, my sincerity as a friend, a relative, and as a good child of the Lord.

To Him, thank you for always being there. I used to question your power and existence but now I know that you have plans for all of us and I offer my all to you. Things happen for a reason and this is just your way of teaching us to learn from our mistakes. Thank you for all the problems, it made me stronger. It made me realize my shortcomings.

~~Nice. That can pass as a clothing store name.~~ One month since I've started working here. So far so good. My officemates are nice and they welcomed me well. It's just a little lonely during lunch since I eat alone, when there's no intern. It made me miss my former officemates more. We were like family (crazy siblings) during lunch. We eat, laugh, tease, and get drunk together. Those were the days when it didn't feel like I was working at all. But I'm happy where I am right now. I need to be serious with work! So not me. LOL

If you already watched the shows I've mentioned above, you have an idea what type of guy turns me on. Yeah, I like guys (or the characters that they are playing) that are reserved, clean looking, romantic, has a bad boy image, smart, has a lot of sense of humor, humble, will do anything to protect me, is comfortable of himself and of course, will love my imperfections. I don't like very pretty (prettier than me) looking guys and playboys. I had my fair share of playboys and it didn't go well.

I'm going gaga over Micky Yoochun right now. Watched all his videos last night in youtube and I'm in love. HAHAHA. This too shall pass. And this is why I ~~kinda~~ hate watching Korean drama esp that has a romantic comedy theme. I always fell in love with the leading man. I'm a hopeless romantic. *sigh* How I wish I can meet one of them (especially Micky Yoochun, I added him on twitter lolz)! In my dreams. I need to wake up soon but I'd rather sleep and never wake up coz Yoochun's in it! *evilsmirk

What stuck to me the most with what my boss' said about boys was...

One weekend that gather us all -- Akiko's Christening. The Caneba-Dacillo Family was complete, mom, dad, ate + hubby, kuya + wifey + akiko, kuya and me. It was a fun two days so far and two weekends after, Akiko spent the weekend with us. She's so adorbs eventhough she woke us all in the middle of the night and was crying the entire night. Gotta love babies! <3
