Brisbane Asian Hair and Makeup - Malaysia Bride Grace

2013-01-27T14:48:00.003+10:00

Here i am again been too busy with other things and not updating my blog :P

Beautiul Malaysian bride Grace who got married on 22nd Sep 2012!

When I met Grace at the trial, I see beauty, elegant and grace...(yes her name)

So I have designed the hair style and make up to showcase her personality.

Air brush makeup application was used for most of my brides now as it is just so light weight to wear,

and look so flawless both in person and on photos!!!

Photos were supplied by Grace, taken by Kwintowski Photography

http://kwintowski.com/

It was a great pleasure to meet Grace's family.

Auntie and Uncle were super friendly and fun to hang around with.

We started off the day really early but as you can see in the photos were having lots and lots of fun!

Grace had a traditional tea ceremony here she was with her girls in the traditional chinese dress (chong sum)

Aren't they beautiful ^_^

Dont you love the express on the bride's maid? she was so happy to see Grace as she just look stunning in her wedding gown!!!

Here's me putting the veil for Grace and checking it for her to make sure it is 'perfectly' fitted

Me being a perfectionist... ^_^

Elegant and Beauty is all I see in Grace...

I must comment that Grace's father is extremely young looking and real fun too!!

Grace...so happy that i was part of your big day in life and wish you happiness and love all around you with your new journey in life ^_^

Brisbane Traditional Vietnamese Wedding with Ao Dai

2012-05-16T19:21:00.003+10:00

A beautiful traditional Vietnamese Wedding in Brisbane.

It was a busy morning for Hannah's wedding where I almost couldn't make it....

As I had another wedding before her's, a real early one~~~

I had to finish that one and quickly drove over to Hannah's place to see if i can still help her out.

Hannah originally approached me almost a year ago but due to some unexpected events, her wedding was prosponed to a different date and I already had another booking on the same day.

However, I still really really wanted to meet her as she sent me a few messages saying that she would still love to have me as her stylist f I can make it.

I have arranged another senior stylist Mika to go over to her place first and start styling her hair and if I can make it, I will do her makeup. If I really couldn't get there early enough, then Mika will still be able to do her makeup. And luckily I was able to make it for her~~

Hannah had a traditional Vietnamese wedding ceremony with 6 beautiful bridesmaids who also dressed in the traditional Vietnamese dress Ao Dai~

It was first time dressing in Ao Dai for most of the girls that morning and we had some fun conversations!

Becuase Hannah was wearing her Ao Dai and her hat, so in terms of the hair style, we don't really have much option but to have an upstyle for her.

I have applied air brush foundation for Hannah and created a very natural look for her makeup for her wedding.

Isn't she just gorgeous?~

Here's the 6 beautiful bridesmaids and mum and Auntie all dressed in the traditional Vietnamese Ao Dai waiting for the Groom to arrive~~

And did you notice that the bridesmaids all have beautiful and perfectly straight long hair ^^?

Here's the exchanging of gifts from the groom side to the bride's side.

Hannah coming down the stairs in her Ao Dai with a golden Phoenix ^^

The beautiful couple~~

Congratulations Hannah on your beautiful journey together~

I am so glad to be able to make it on your wedding day for you ^^

Thank you~~

2011-12-19T22:50:00.002+10:00

It was a privilege to do the bridal hair and makeup in for Singaporean couple Wendy and Colin a few months back.

This is a pre Wedding photoshoot cross over with Alwin Lim from Lighted Pixels Photography Singapore

www.lightedpixels.com

This time the location was in the fashion city of Australia - Melbourne!

This Singaporean couple are extremely fun and nice to work with!

Colin is actually a doctor and he is a very passionate doctor as well!

He was sharing with us how he was helping out a heart condition patient on the flight coming to Melbourne!! ^^

Their reason they have decided to fly all the way from Singapore to Melbourne for their pre wedding photo shoot was just like many other couples, they met here and fall in love in Melbourne.

When ever I work with Lighted Pixels, it is always an early start for me around 3am!

Here's a landmark of Melbourne - Flinders Street Station

Can you see the time on the clock behind, when this shoot was taken, it was only around 6:25am!!!

Wendy wanted something simple for the photo shoot so I have kept it quite simple yet elegant for different styles thorough out the shoot!

Oh....love this one! Beautiful!

Handsome Dr Colin Ng~

Love At the University~

The couple is a Latin dance competitor and so there are of course a few dance moves in the shoot~

Love the smile on Wendy's face in this photo!! So graceful!

Second dance moves~

Another dance pose~

Thought this one is really fun~

Personally i really like this photo! So Sweet~~

What were you checking out Dr Ng???

More dance moves~~~

Just a beautiful fun loving couple!

Thank you Wendy and Colin for having me as your hair and makeup stylist!

It was lovely meeting both of you and congratulation on your new journey in life~

Asian Hair and Makeup - Shiseido Makeup Competition 2011 - Shanghai China Top 20

2011-09-27T02:30:00.034+10:00

Been busy with work and

just returned from travelling to Shanghai recently for a makeup competition orgainsed by Shiseido China!!

It was such a great experience as I was the ONLY competitor from Hong Kong who got into the top 20 from 625 competitiors!!!

wow!!!

I am the one on the top left hand picture in grey!!!
In progress in the bottom left picture

My model is the tallest model in the right picture ^^

It was such a great experience!!!

These are some of the photos that I took after the competition.

My theme that I created was 'Modern Classic'

Using Black and White and Red for this look as they are the ever lasting colours and classic.

Classic look with the modern twist is the idea:

Black long skirt (Classic) with sexy long split at the back and fancy design on the waist line (Modern)
White top (Classic) with wavy design at neck line (Modern)
Eyeliner (Classic) but extended at inner corner and out corner (Modern)
Red Lips (Classic)
Thick eyebrows (Classic and Modern)
Finger waves fringe (Classic) with teased hair at the back (Modern)

The beautiful outfit is supplied by Kai EiChen
http://www.kaieichen.com/

I LOVE her designs, very simple but classy~~~~
Found her through a online platform and she just arrived Shanghai couple of days before the competition, was so lucky to have met her and have her as my team and honoured to have her work show cased in this competition.

Model: Chen Yu
A very very tall Chinese model based in Shanghai
She was referred to me by another fashion stylist in Shanghai.
She....is such a great model, if anyone is looking for an international model,
she has to be the one!
She's got such a unique look! Just love that!

Hair and Makeup: Amy Chan @ Particulart - Me! ^^

At the Shisido Studio in Shanghai after the competition

The Shiseido Studio in Shanghai

Later in the after we then meet up wit Kai's fiance - Davide De Visdomini as he is a fashion photographer!
How cool is that?!
http://www.davidedevisdomini.com

He suggested to take some pictures in the busiest street in Shanghai City for the shoot!
So we did!!!

My model Chen Yu is such a poser!! She was changing poses after every click of the camera!!! She is so professional! Love her xxx

We have created a small crowd on NanJing Pedestrian Street

and it got bigger and bigger!!!

The man on the left corner with his camera was taking photos while photographer Davide was doing his work. Even though we requested the guy to stop taking photos but he wouldn't listen!!! So rude!

He finally stopped until after requested like 5 times!!!

There are heaps more photos to come! Will post up the final work taken by Davide as well!!!

They are just absolutely amazing!!!
